AUEx Letter
Dear AUEx Writer,
So hi. I know this is super late and I’m so sorry; if you’ve decided to go ODAO I understand perfectly. And I’m excited to read alllll the AUs! Thank you so much for writing for me.

DNWs:
- Unrequested genderswap (i.e. please don’t genderswap non-requested characters unless I’ve specified in optional details)
- Gore/guro/vore, necrophilia.
- Torture of animals. (Humans/humanoids/other sapients being tortured is more than fine!)
- Graphic descriptions of nausea/vomiting.
- Reader inserts.
- Mundane AUs, unrequested depowered/non-powered AUs, unrequested modern AUs.
- Non-femslash A/B/O; femslash for this trope is fine!
- Crossovers/fusions between fandoms I haven't asked for. (Crossover within any fandom in my letter or previous exchange letters, along with mythology and folklore, are more than fine!)
- Please no age regression, de-ageing, or AUs in which one character is suddenly older than a previously older-than-them character (ageswap?).
- Girl!penis. (Trans characters are fine, just please no inexplicable g!p.)
- For smut, I'd prefer not to see bloodplay, scat, watersports, age play (including daddy/mommy kink), and any sort of permanent marking/scarring/body modification (scarring and permanent markings outside smut is perfectly fine) unless I've prompted these things for the specific pairing.
- H/C fics centering on characters with depression and/or anxiety, and/or characters who self-harm or have eating disorders are not my favourite thing. (All of these things are more than fine in non-H/C fic, but not as things which can be hugged/cuddled better, please.)
- Unrequested relationships. (Canon relationships and background relationships are fine unless otherwise indicated.)
- Unrequested parent/child incest.
- Extreme underage (pre-pubertal children), unrequested smut for underage relationships
- Anachronistic discussions of sexuality and/or characters lecturing other characters on SJ issues.

General Likes:
Tropes, Genres, and (for fic) Story Elements
- Angst. Drama. Politics. Tragedy.
- Philosophical ponderings!
- I love canon divergence AUs, and For Want Of A Nail and other what-if scenarios. I'd love both longer fic (for fic) and ficlets as snapshots of what could have been, all the things that could've happened, but didn't.
- Soulmates! Not necessarily soulmate AUs (although that'd be more than fine), but soulmates as in 'I knew you the moment I saw you', or 'I felt you in my soul' or any other version of that—the electric connection is something I adore. Soulmate things I love include in every version of every reality, in another life, fated to be separated again and again.
- Regency AUs.
- Fake dating within the canon setting.
- Arranged marriage within the canon setting.
- Time travel and time loops, especially timefuckery where everything is fucked up!
- (For femslash only) A/B/O
- In-world mythology.
- Cultural differences and clashes that occur due to cultural differences.
- Worldbuilding in general.
- Battle couples!
- Lovers to enemies.
- Enemies to lovers.
- Trope subversions.
- I have A Thing for sister/sister, and focusing on the sister aspects of the relationship—how they're alike and how they're different, and just how they're sisters.
- Competence porn!
- I also adore people being messes and general failboats, because, uh, contradictions?
- I have zero problems with fics dealing with misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, racism etc. I like realism, but not overly-depressing fics or fics centered on issues at the expense of characterization. (I define 'overly-depressing' as continuous angst focusing on Issues and Only Issues.)
Tone, Setting, and Miscellaneous Things
- Characters dancing and spending time outdoors.
- Characters in situations that shouldn't be funny, but are.
- Characters who're comfortable around each other, and who tease and laugh with each other.
- Slice-of-life fics and, for relationships, a look at all the quirks/annoyances of cohabitation.
- Banter! I feel like I've repeated this a million times in this letter, but I adore banter!
- Casual situations and everyday annoyances
- Drama interspersed with humor.
- Characters sleeping on each other, making out for hours, drinking from the same cup, and generally being cohabit-y.
- Characters solving mysteries and going on journeys together!
- Bittersweetness.
- All the hard questions with no answers, characters trapped in unsolvable dilemmas, loss and grief and moving on.
- Gallows humour, and humour in otherwise dark situations generally.
- And just humour in general.
- And if you want to go in the crack-y direction, I wouldn't mind that as well!
- I adore OFCs and textual ghosts, for many, many reasons.
- I'm more than fine with most side relationships, unless stated otherwise.
- Transgender characters would be amazing, as would non-binary characters and just fucking with and/or ignoring traditional gender roles in general.
Character and Relationships Dynamics.
- Characters who and relationships which fall just short of the mark, the almost-most-not-quite. I think the closest word to this would be hamartia in its original sense?
- Hurt, and not necessarily comfort.
- Fucked-up families and messy friendships which really, really aren't good for the characters, but they love each other very much anyway. I don't mind either characters finding ways to move past the fucked-upness and the relationships end up flourishing, or moving past fucked-up-ness and leaving what they don't want behind, but I also don't mind a constant cycle of messing up.
- Found families!
- Intense friendships which play a central role in the characters' lives.
- For longer works, plotty fics are always welcome!
- Stoic and/or emotionally incompetent characters
- Characters finding ways to come to terms with themselves, with their pasts, and with their loved ones and/or finding their place in the world (think Circle of Life).
- Characters who're broken, characters who're tired, characters who're lost, characters who refuse to be found, characters who're hurt over and over again, characters who never ever win, characters who've given up. And characters who love, characters who give, characters who're selfless and kind even after everything they've been through, characters who give their all and then some more to people they love, characters who never give up, characters who keep on hoping and keep on fighting even beyond the bitter end. And characters who're a mixture of both types.
- I love characters with flaws and unpleasant qualities! Awesome ladies can be awesome and flawed :).
- I like relationships that are fated to end in tragedy, but I also really don't mind a pinch of humor with my angst, if that's your thing.
Stylistic Things for Fic
- I like all kinds of fic, so go wild—linear narrative, flashbacks, epistolary…whatever you think of is lovely, the more daring the better. I especially adore faux-historical documents and faux academia.
- Relatedly, interactive fiction!
- Characters teasing and bantering with each other.
- I don’t mind any type of POV (including second person!). In fact, POV switches and outside POVs on relationships would be lovely.
Smut Likes
- I will always want F/F or M/M smut, even if I haven't explicitly requested it! Femsub is preferred for F/M D/s smut, though I'm down for femdom if that's your thing, too.
- I prefer a balance between sensuality, emotions, and physical sensations. Anything from playful to creepy is more than fine (although there are a few things I'd prefer not to see, as outlined in the kink DNWs).
- Helplessness and humiliation. These are the two main things I love in kinky smut, and everything else derives from there.
- Bantering and laughing during sex is lovely, as is gentleness.
- And banter between the dom and the sub in D/s scenes (which can edge towards slightly cruel on the dom's part!).
- Angry sex/hatesex, smut that gives off vibes of slightly creepy but in a way that can't be pinpointed
- Dubcon and emotional manipulation!
- Explorations of power dynamics. I especially like service submission, and power dynamics based on the characters' titles/positions! (I do confess to having a kink for honorifics and titles!)
- Doms having control over the sub's everyday minutiae (although for short periods of time—24/7/365 high-protocol D/s is a turn-off)
- Punishment play, especially unusual forms of discipline! (I don't like erotic spanking in and of itself, but spanking as punishment is great! And whatever interesting punishments you can come up with.)
- Corner time, especially kneeling on rice/somehow having to display themselves/after a spanking.
- In general, being put on display/having to put themselves on display.
- Tickling! Both playful tickling and tickle torture (bondage + tickling = yessss).
- Gags and other ways to prevent speech. And weirdly specific, but fingers of one character in the other's mouth.
- Groping, especially pulling breasts out of tops (and sometimes letting them just hang there, if you're into humiliation).
- Orgasm denial, especially chastity devices.
- Fuck-or-die scenarios.
- Creative bondage (including predicament bondage. No, strike that, especially predicament bondage, and especially if the predicament is partly psychological).
- Similarly, ordering a partner to stay still/hold a certain pose.
- Incest kink.
- Hairpulling.
- Directed masturbation (one character instructing the other how to masturbate).
- Dirty talk (including long distance dirty talk).
- Navels, inner things, ribs, and kinks for these body parts.
- (Not really a like, but I'm afraid my AO3 bookmarks won't say much about my smut likes, because I have a separate account for smutty bookmarks. Sorry.)
Darker Likes
- Dark places and enchantments which entrap people without their knowledge
- Getting lost in creepy surroundings
- Corruption and decay
- Explorations of the darker side of magic (or its equivalent), especially magic that's considered 'good'.
- Exploration of the supernatural aspects of the canons.
- Nature being eerily alive and dangerous.
- Child soldiers, trauma, and really ugly, messy wars.
- Characters trapped in vicious cycles.
- Characters who think they're 'not good enough' for their partner(s).
- Situations where characters are blackmailed/coerced into doing things they don't want to do.
- Fucked-up families and friendships and relationships; people codependent to the point of almost-insanity, and far beyond anything healthy.
- Looking into messed-up characters' thought processes.
- Terrible things being done in the name of good by characters who see themselves as good.
- Perversion of the 'good' side of magic to do evil things.
- Mindfucks and powerplay.
- Torture for the sake of torture, and characters being stoic through torture.
- Noncon. I like both works focused on sexy (for ficpurposes) noncon as well as more seriously-dealt with noncon and noncon aftermath.
- Pregnancy due to F/F or M/M noncon.
- Badtouch that doesn't lead to noncon, it's just there and creepy. (Especially when coupled with emotional fuckery and mindgames.)
- Relationships where one characters is in love, but the other isn't.
- Partners doing terrible things to each other.
- Characters who hate themselves and lash out at the world and do fucked-up things as a result.
- Really, really dark stories which end in the 'everyone dying' sort of tragedy.
- AUs where everything goes wrong.
- For darkfic especially, I love outsider PoVs—it makes everything 100% more terrible for me.
Other Stuff I like (i.e. a very skippable section)
- Action/Adventure:fight scenes between individuals ◈ big battle scenes ◈ going on quests/missions ◈ fighting bad guys together ◈ period-typical/canon-typical weapons ◈ characters being very very good at fighting/tactics/strategy ◈ strategy and tactics in general ◈ movements of large armies ◈ end-of-the world scenarios ◈ high-stakes battles or missions ◈ covert operations ◈ supernatural elements being involved in the mix in canons with supernatural/magical elements ◈ fighting techniques ◈ plotty missionfic
- Angst: musings on futility □ hopeless situations and things falling apart □ characters' flaws getting the better of them □ battles being lost □ stuck in situations without support □ forced to deceive loved ones □ unhappy endings □ everything that could go wrong going wrong □ (internalized or otherwise) homophobia □ struggles with religion/faith/belief □ ethical/moral dilemmas □ misunderstandings □ feeling unloved □ being forced to hurt loved ones and do other bad things □ having to compromise on their ideals □ Hobson's choice situations □ betrayals of trust □ star-crossed lovers or the platonic version of this □ the world changing and leaving the characters behind □ things being lost to the ravages of time
- in spaaaace ◎ different canon format (eg: musicals –> TV scripts) ◎ tone changes (eg: drama to comedy, tragedy to romance) ◎ crackification ◎ adding magic/supernatural elements to canons ◎ focusing on a different aspect of a story than the canon does
- Established Relationship: arguments and fights ○ vicious cycles ○ drama ○ compromising and learning to live together ○ date nights ○ banter and flirting ○ falling into bed together after a long day ○ characters organizing their lives around each other ○ unhealthy, obsessive relationships ○ smut ○ meeting the family ○ acquiring pets and/or kids and/or property
- Getting Together: meet-cutes (including canon divergence AUs) ◌ angst about each others' feelings ◌ obstacles that have to be overcome ◌ A is convinced B doesn't like them ◌ characters who haven't met in canon meeting for the first time ◌ fake dating leads to real dating ◌ fucking for the greater good ◌ something makes them do it ◌ enemies to lovers ◌ friends to lovers ◌ soulmate AUs ◌ reincarnation AUs ◌ slow burn ◌ hey I just met you this is crazy ◌ one night stands to lovers ◌ angst over not being allowed to be together ◌ A has been hurt by other people in the past and has to slowly fall for B ◌ unrequited love turning requited ◌ A falls for B, who's been nursing a crush on A since forever
- Hurt/Comfort: noncon aftermath ◘ torture aftermath ◘ recovering from an abusive relationship ◘ other kinds of post-abuse trauma ◘ injury aftermath ◘ characters stitching themselves together ◘ partner/other person hurting character and then comforting them ◘ PTSD (in a canon-appropriate way) ◘ contrast between current gentleness and past violence ◘ the comfort not helping with certain instinctual reactions (touch aversion, flinching, hyperawareness, hypersensitivity etc.) ◘ comforter feeling helpless in the face of comfortee's issues ◘ two hurt/fucked-up characters trying to comfort each other ◘ attempts to comfort/make things better backfiring ◘ comfortee refusing to accept comfort
- miscommunication ◍ wanting different things in life ◍ wanting different things from each other ◍ betrayal ◍ lying to friends/partners ◍ arguments ◍ blow-ups that have been a long time coming ◍ deliberate miscontsructions ◍ deliberately hurting each other ◍ unintentionally hurting each other
- Slice of Life: I love seeing glimpses into character's everyday lives in canon-appropriate ways. I love slice-of-life fics as insight into characters' backstories and histories, as well as as looks into their heads and as ways to figure out what's making them tick, or to make it clear that the characters' everyday lives are immensely atypical/fucked up. I also love these kinds of fic as worldbuilding vehicles.

Avatar: The Last Airbender
- I love the mix of darkness and humor in A:TLA—it's one of my favourite things about it. Also how deeply fucked up it is. Give me all the fucked-up childhoods and child soldiers and dictators! Fucked-up childhoods especially are a Thing for me. Bending! Bending is another wonderful thing, and I'd love explorations of the hows and whys of bending for fic. And for art, bending and the elements and all the different fighting styles Exploring the roots of bending, having fun with bending, the darker side of bending—I'd adore it all!
- Spirits and the supernatural and all the otherwordly aspects of the A:TLA world! I especially love the spirits' inability to distinguish between different humans.
- Worldbuilding—the past of the A:TLA world and the politics of said world are things I always love to see being explored.
- I love the character arcs for basically all the characters, and I'd adore something set in the future, because I want to see what happens to them! Bridging the gap between A:TLA and LoK would be particularly lovely.
- Speaking of LoK, LoK and A:TLA sometimes have wildly different interpretations of events (lion-turtles and the origin of the Avatar comes to mind), so something about that, maybe?

Character(s)/relationships:
- Azula/Katara
- Hama/Kanna
Hama returns to the Water Tribe after her escape: for this, for Hama/Kanna, established relationship or getting together, how does Kanna react to Hama returning? Does that change how the Water Tribe reacts to the Fire Nation? Does Kanna find out about Hama’s bloodbending? For Azula/Katara, maybe how growing up with Hama as a waterbending mentor affects Katara, or Azula coming to the South Pole to hunt down Hama and finding Katara instead.
One Character Is Held Captive By The Other: for both, either Stockholm Syndrome or already established relationship turns sour. Azula/Katara: how does this change the events of the show? Is it Azula capturing Katara or the other way around? And if it’s the former does Katara escape, or if it’s the latter does Azula get some kind of redemption? Hama/Kanna: I’d be really interested in how the set-up for this occurs. Does Hama escape to the Southern Water Tribe and her bloodbending is discovered so she’s kept prisoner? Does Hama old Kanna hostage using bloodbending in this scenario? Or Kanna making her way to the Fire Nation for some reason and being trapped by Hama?

Game of Thrones
- Dany/Jon isn’t my favorite relationship. Background Dany/Jon is fine, but please don’t let it be the focus of a fic. For that matter, I’d prefer no Jon-centric fic at all.
- For GoT especially, I love worldbuilding. There’s such a wide world to explore, so much history and politics and cultural details that just don’t have room to exist on the show.
- I prefer the Essos/Dany-centric storyline just because my favorite characters are mostly part of that storyline, but I have other faves too so whatever part of the show you want to focus on is great.
- I’d love to see things going in both directions for this show: both happy fix-its and darker AU.
- And I’d love to see crossovers with other fantasy canons of the ‘they all exist in one world, just on different continents’ sort.
Request #
Character(s)/relationships:
- Daenerys Targaryen/Missandei
- Since many of my prompts below are about Dany specifically, I just want to say I’d love any of those prompts but with added Missandei for this ship. I love loyalty kink for this ship, and I love ‘I’d burn the world down for you’ tropes for the two of them.
- Daenerys Targaryen
- Ships I enjoy: Dany/Arya, Dany/Brienne, Dany/Cersei, Dany/Drogo as fucked up Stockholm Syndrome, Dany/her dragons, onesided Jorah Dany, Dany/Missandei, Dany/Olenna, Dany/Sansa, Dany/Yara
- For gen, her interacting with pretty much anyone is awesome. (Especially her advisors or any of the Dothraki or Unsullied or any of the Starks or Tyrells, but also whoever else is your fave.)
Daenerys chooses to try and rebuild Valyria instead of going to Westeros, GoT: Daenerys stays in Meereen: two different tags, but my logic behind requesting both of these is basically ‘what if something changed and Dany chilled the fuck out and decided to actually rule instead of conquering ever onwards?’. Also, this is very ODAO, but book!Dany wanting to return Vaes Tolorro and make the dead city bloom was my favorite part of the book, if you want to play with something like that with Dany trying to rebuild Valyria.
Daenerys doesn’t become the Mad Queen and torch King’s Landing: how does the change happen? Do Missandei and/or Jorah live, and talk her down? Or maybe something happening earlier in canon that changes everything? Or even Dany still going full-on Darth Dany, just without becoming the Mad Queen and torching King’s Landing; her descent into villany is a lot more calculated on her part?
Daenerys overthrows her father: Dany overthrowing Aerys would mean Aerys would have been on the throne for a long time and Robert’s Rebellion would have failed—I’d love to see what kind of changes (big or small) occur to canon. Why does Dany end up overthrowing Aerys? What drives her to it? And if Dany/Missandei, how do Dany and Missandei find each other? Does Dany have to flee Westeros at some point?
Daenerys succeeds in taking the Iron Throne: is this an AU where Dany doesn’t become the Mad Queen, or does it go as in canon except for Jon not killing Dany? Or somewhere inbetween?
Jon decides not to kill Daenerys, Jon fails to kill Daenerys: I’ve grouped these two tags together for convenience, but they do have pretty different implications and I’d love to see those implications explored. If Jon fails to kill Dany, what’s the aftermath and the fallout? If he decides not to kill Dany, why not? What’s changed? (And if Dany/Missandei, how does Missandei affect both those things?) And does anyone else try to kill her instead?
Missandei and/or Grey Worm convince Daenerys to return to Essos after the Night King is killed: why does Dany listen to them? Is there another event that’s the catalyst? Does she plan to mount another invasion, or does she decide to rule her realms in peace?
the Others invade Westeros while Daenerys is in Essos; there is an influx of Westerosi refugees: I’d love to see the tensions and politics of this, and how Dany handles the people she’s dreamt of ruling coming to her. And eventually, does Dany decide to go to Westeros and fight the Others still, or does she eventually make the choice to stay in Essos?

Hamilton – Miranda
- Hamilton in spaaaaaaaace.
- I'm still very very slowly going through fanworks so forgive me if my prompts are things that everyone has written/drawn at some point and is completely sick of by now.
- I don't mind whatever level of historical accuracy you go with—history what history, kind of sort of accurate, as accurate as you can get within the confines of the show, whatever. (I'm basically finished with Chernow's Hamilton bio and the Washington one too, so.) The only thing I ask is that you keep the things LMM changed.
- Speaking of which, I really love the themes of how history will reflect you and how you're remembered is based on who tells your story that echo through the show.
- For M/M and F/F (this is more fic-specific), I'd love to see period-typical homophobia and the sneaking around and near-discoveries etecetra that would result in.
- For this show especially, I'm a fan of canon divergence AUs, alternate histories etc. Just all the what-if moments, please.
- Also, genderswap! I'm very interested in what'd happen if any of the characters were of the opposite gender. Just please make sure that if you're switching genders for a M/M or F/F ship, you switch the genders of both characters unless I'm explicitly okay with it being otherwise.
- Whatever cast you want to use (current Broadway/OBC/Chicago/West End etc.) to base art/descriptions off is fine! Just not actual historical figures' faces/appearances, please.
Request 1 (aka the shorter one)
Character(s)/relationships:
- George III of the United Kingdom/George Washington
One character is held captive by the other: what’s the set up for this—is Washington captured by the British army and brought to George III in chains? Or is George III captured by Washington in some handwavey way? Stockholm Syndrome and/or noncon is great, as is cracky crack.
Washington visits England: you know how “You’ll Be Back” sounds like a breakup song? What if it is a breakup song? What if Washington visited England pre-1776, and he and George III had a Thing?
Request 2
Character(s)/relationships:
- Alexander Hamilton & Angelica Schuyler & George Washington
- Angelica Schuyler/George Washington
- George Washington
- Ships I ship: Washington/Angelica, Washington/Burr, Washington/Eliza/Hamilton, Washington/Hamilton, Washington/Hamilton/Jefferson, Washington/Hamilton/Lafayette, Washington/Lafayette, Washington/Martha Washington
- Or any kind of gen, really, with any of the above mentioned characters or anyone else.
Always A Girl, Canonically male character(s) is/are always a girl: Washington and/or Hamilton (whichever relationship/character you prefer) being born female. Disguising herself to join the army, maybe? Or an AU where women can serve openly in military/government, maybe? Anything goes, basically. Only caveat is please don’t make M/M relationships I’ve said I like F/M; genderswapping the other partner as well is fine in these cases. My Rule 63 letter has more on my genderswap preferences if you want to look.
Angelica is part of Washington's cabinet: is this an alternate history-type thing where women play a much greater role in politics? Or is this a case of being just that good + knowing the right people? Either way, what causes does Angelica champion, what kinds of verbal tussles and fights does she get into? I’d love to see her playing politics, and for Washington/Angelica dealing with their relationship while being in Washington’s cabinet.
Woman disguises herself as man to join military: either Angelica disguising herself as a man to join the military, or an AU where Washington and/or Hamilton are women. Either way, how far does she rise up the ranks? How does she navigate awkward social situations? Is she discovered, or not? How does this change things, or not, in the course of history?

Marvel Cinematic Universe
- Fandom-specific dislikes: Bucky/Nat and Darcy Lewis, including passing mentions.
- Endgame spoilers welcome! The one thing I prefer going AU for is Steve not staying with Peggy at the end of the movie, but other than that feel free to go as AU you like or stick to canon 100%. I’m game for whatever.
- I'd prefer that Coulson, Loki, Tony, Peter Parker, and Vision aren't main characters, please.
- There's such a vast world to play in in the MCU, and so much of the characters' lives we don't know about because of the way time works in the movies! There's a lot of room for exploration and worldbuilding. My favourite MCU movies are the Cap movies, and I'd love to see what happens between them (and the. Avengers movies)! Between Avengers & TWS, between TWS & AoU, between AoU & CW—I'm really curious as to what happens in the in-between years where obviously important stuff has happened.
- I'm very interested in politics for this fandom, because so much of the storyline is influenced by in-world politics which we don't get to see. For example, HYDRA's ideology, the politics behind the US supersoldier program, Project Insight being authorized, the Accords—there's so much to explore.
- CW brought up some interesting questions about the fact that the majority of the problems the Avengers deal with are things they've caused, albeit sometimes necessarily, so maybe something about that.
- For this fandom especially I'd love to see outsider POVs, whether that be people who are working closely with the characters or people who only see the characters on TV.
- I love the sheer scale of the events of the movies, so maybe something about that?
- There's a common thread of the end not justifying the means across the Cap movies, so something about that, maybe?
- With so many supervillains floating around, there's plenty of room for lots of H/C (or H without C) with characters being captured and tortured and injured.
- I love fun and asskicking and just superheroes being superheroes too.
- I adore the fact that the characters have very individual senses of humour!
- Other things I'm not fond of include AoS in general, the way AoS handled SHIELD in particular, all the Avengers living at the Avengers tower (especially post-Avengers but pre-TWS; I don't really mind pre-AoU since there's some element of canon to it).
Request 1 – Black Panther (2018)
Character(s)/relationships:
- Nakia/Okoye
- T’Challa/Erik Killmonger
- Nakia
- Ships I ship: Nakia/Carol, Nakia/Gamora, Nakia/Natasha, Nakia/Okoye, Nakia/Ramonda, Nakia/Shuri, Nakia/T’Challa
- For gen, other than gen versions of the characters I ship her with and other BP characters and OCs, I’d also love to see Nakia interacting with any MCU non-BP characters, especially any of the women.
Always A Girl: this is mostly that I’d love to read F/F versions of Killmonger/T’Challa, but I would also love to read Nakia-centric fic about a genderswapped cast, perhaps F/F versions of Nakia/T’Challa or Nakia/Killmonger or Nakia/M’Baku or Nakia/Steve. My Rule 63 letter has more on my genderswap preferences if you want to look.
Killmonger's invasion plans take longer to carry out once he's king: in this scenario, would T’Challa fight Killmonger again, or would Killmonger take T’Challa captive, or would T’Challa try to reach Killmonger by speaking to him? Or Nakia hiding out among the Jabari and slowly forming a resistance movement to fight Killmonger, and using her spy skills to raise an army the hard way.
Nakia takes the heart-shaped herb: an AU where T’Challa is dead, or everyone believes he is, and instead of M’Baku taking the herb Nakia for some reason does—I’d love to see that story, Nakia learning to take on that responsibility and weight. Or for Killmonger/T’Challa, Nakia taking the herb means that T’Challa can focus on Erik, maybe? Or why T’Challa decided not to take on that responsibility?
Request 2 – Captain America (Movies)
Character(s)/relationships:
- Sam Wilson/Steve Rogers
- Steve Rogers
- Ships I ship: Steve/Carol, Steve/Howard (or Howard Steve), Steve/Sam, Steve/Scott Lang, Steve/T’Challa, Steve/Thor, Steve/Wanda, Steve/Pierce and Steve/Brandt as fucked-up dub/noncon, Red Skull/Steve noncon, Hydra/Steve noncon in general
- Steve-centric gen with basically any character is also great. I’d especially love to see Steve meet characters he’s never met before/has only met in passing.
Always a girl, canonically male character(s) is/are always a girl: Captain America being a woman would be…interesting and I’d love to see how that plays out, either in canon divergence AUs or canon-compliant fic except Steve is a woman. I’d also love to see femslash with F!Cap! (For my M/M ships, I’d prefer both characters genderswapped to women rather than het. Other ships specific to F!Cap include Steve/Natasha, Steve/Nebula, Steve/Peggy, Steve/Sharon, or…Steve/any MCU woman, really, and also Steve/F!Tony) And for Steve/Sam specifically, I’d also love stuff more centered on F!Sam and her life outside of what we see on screen. My Rule 63 letter has more on my genderswap preferences if you want to look.
Endgame canon-divergence: oooh, I’d love to see all sorts of canon divergences for this. What if a longer or shorter time passed between IW and Endgame? What if Thanos had the Infinity Stones when the Avengers first confronted him? What if one of the time travel scenarios went differently? What if time travel itself worked differently? What if Steve didn’t come back as an old man at the end? Or any other AU scenario, really, go wild.
Returning the Soul Stone returns Natasha: Steve returns the Soul Stone and gets Natasha back! I’d love to see Natasha returning or the aftermath, Natasha and Steve returning to reunite with all the people who thought they were dead, or Natasha and Steve going on time-travelling adventures together. Or, is Gamora also returned?
Steve doesn’t stay with Peggy at the end of Endgame: pretty much what it says on the tin. Why does Steve not decide to stay? What does Steve do with the rest of his life? (And not even necessarily returning to the others, time travel shenanigans are also great.) For Steve/Sam specifically, does Steve go back to have one last dance with Peggy only to realize he’s in love with Steve? Or is it an already established relationship?
Steve is thawed out earlier: how much earlier are we talking? A couple of years earlier? Or a decade or two earlier, or when Howard is still alive and Peggy still Director of SHIELD? Or even just a couple of years after he went down? How does this change things, and how does he adjust to being thawed out?
The supersoldier serum makes you immortal: again, basically what it says on the tin. Something set in the present with Steve discovering his immortality for the first time, or set in the far future with Steve as the lonely immortal, would be great. For Steve/Sam especially, but also other ships, I’d love lots of angst about Steve being immortal while his lovers are mortal. Or Steve/an immortal shipping/
Request 3 – Thor (Movies)
Character(s)/relationships:
- Jane Foster/Sif
Goddess of Death Jane Foster: is this something that happens after Jane meets Thor and the other Asgardians, somehow? Or before that, but Jane was still initially a mortal? Or is this an AU where Jane was an Asgardian all along, maybe even related to Thor somehow, and she and Sif grew up together?
Jane meets Sif instead of Thor: I’d love to see what kind of scenario/canon divergence that could cause them to meet. Is it that Jane doesn’t meet Thor, and instead meets Sif when Sif comes to Midgard to search for Thor? Or is Sif exiled to Midgard somehow? And do Sif and Jane fall for each other almost immediately after they meet, or is it more slow burn?
The Aether gives Jane Foster superpowers: superhero Jane! How does Jane discover her superpowers—is it a complete accident, or does she deliberately try to do something? For that matter, what are those superpowers exactly? Do they stay with Jane once she no longer as the Aether in her? Does Sif help Jane adjust to her newfound powers?

Star Wars Prequel Trilogy
- I don't play hard-and-fast with EU; I don't mind complete faithfulness, completely ignoring its existence, or something inbetween. (I consider the novelizations part of the EU). Rebels canon isn’t my favorite though.
- Planets! I'd love explorations of different planets and their people!
- Politics! Behind-the-scene views and nitty-gritty details are always my favourite things, and I'd especially love this for characters who are Senators of Rebellion/Resistance leaders.
- I'm interested in the way the Jedi fail. If the attachment thing is what you love, then go with it, but I'd also love to see a different take. I've always wondered why the Jedi—a religious order which you could leave if you wanted to—are considered wrong for the non-attachment thing (and I admit that the mischaracterization of Buddhist culture and lumping different kinds of Buddhism plus a few other Eastern religions together isn't my favourite thing!). I'd love a take on the Jedi where the Jedi's failings are that it's not made more explicit that leaving is OK, that they get too bogged down in politics instead of doing what's right, and that they encourage attachment in the form of the (very close) Master/Padawan relationship (and whatever else faults, I'm sure there are many!). A respectful take on so-called 'Eastern' religions would be much appreciated!
- Regarding Anakin—I understand his position, and where he's coming from, but 'it's all Obi-Wan's/Yoda's/Padmé's/Qui-Gon's fault' is not my thing, and I have zero sympathy for the fact that he killed little children. Reluctantly, maybe, (and not-so-reluctantly with the Tuskens) but he killed little children, and I don't really like that. At all. What I would enjoy is an AU where Anakin left the Jedi because he realized that he wanted attachments.
- Or just ignoring the attachments things in favour of all the ships is fine as well!

Character(s)/relationships:
- Obi-Wan Kenobi
- Ships I ship: Obi-Wan/Bail, Obi-Wan/Mace
- Characters I’d like to see in gen include (but aren’t limited to) Ahsoka, Anakin, Bail, Dooku, Mace, Mon Mothma, Padmé, Qui-Gon, Shmi, Yoda
Always a girl, canonically male character(s) is/are always a girl: F!Obi-Wan! For this, I’d pretty much prefer an AU where everything is the same as canon except Obi-Wan is a woman (or if canon events change it’s not because Obi-Wan is a woman). My Rule 63 letter has more on my genderswap preferences if you want to look.
Order 66 happens but most Jedi survive: how do most Jedi survive? Do they get some sort of warning? Do the clones struggle a little more with killing the Jedi? And afterwards, does Palpatine still have control of the Senate, and if so, how do the Jedi (and what remains of the High Council specifically) oppose him, in secret or in public? Or is Palpatine defeated? If so, how, and what does the aftermath look like?
Order 66 happens but no one believes Palpatine‚ and Republic supports Jedi survivors: why don’t people believe Palpatine? Do Padmé and Bail and etc manage to get enough support in the Senate? Is Palpatine publicly divested of emergency powers before Order 66 happens? Does Obi-Wan’s popularity influence people? (And do more Jedi than just Obi-Wan and Yoda survive?)
Qui-Gon doesn’t take Obi-Wan as his Padawan: what are the circumstances of this? I’ve read the JA books if you want to use them, but I am not particularly attached to them either if you want to invent backstory. Does Qui-Gon not taking Obi-Wan as his Padawan imply some other Jedi taking Obi-Wan as his Padawan, or does Obi-Wan not become a Jedi Knight? How does that affect canon events?
Qui-Gon lives but Obi-Wan still trains Anakin: why? Is it by Qui-Gon’s and Obi-Wan’s choice, or does Qui-Gon want to train Anakin but can’t or won’t for some reason? How does Anakin feel about this? How does this impact canon events—does Anakin still fall to the Dark Side or does Qui-Gon’s presence prevent his fall?
The Force is a deity and Obi-Wan is its favorite: okay, there are so many different directions this tag can be taken, and it can be as cracky or smutty or as serious as you want to go. Obi-Wan/the Force PWP? Obi-Wan being claimed by the Force as a child, a changeling-type-ish story? Or something less cracky, maybe a canon divergence AU?

Torchwood
- Fandom-specific stuff I don’t like: anything more than a passing mention of Miracle Day. I.e. Miracle Day-specific characters appearing, or more than one or two lines of a fic referencing Miracle Day.
- My prompts are a lot more general for this section, especially for art, so I’m just going to list a few art things I’d love for this fandom (or visual imagery/worldbuilding if you’re writing fic):
- aliens/alien planets and landscapes
- alien flora and fauna
- the Doctor’s Gallifreyan physiology
- the characters having time-travelled to a historical era
- visual depictions of time travel
- the inside and outside of the TARDIS
- the inside of the Hub
- period-style clothing and/or Jack’s coat
- This is Doctor Who, so I’ll always, of course, love timey-wimey stuff and weird and wacky worldbuilding and adventure, just as a side note.
If you’re writing something post-CoE and manage to work OneRepublic’s Stop & Stare into the title or body of the fic you will get lots and lots of Internet brownies.

Character(s)/relationships:
- Jack Harkness
- Ships I ship: Jack/Estelle, Jack/John Hart, Jack/Martha, Jack/the Master (or Jack/Missy) dubcon or noncon or something that is otherwise very fucked up, Jack/Nine/Rose, Jack/OCs, Jack/Original Jack, Jack/River, Jack/Sarah Jane, Jack/the Doctor (any version), and tbh Jack/most people (though I prefer not to ship Jack with most of the Torchwood team other than Owen, basically any other Torchwood/DW character is fair game)
- And if you want to write gen, with any of the Torchwood or DW characters Jack has or hasn’t met, that’s also perfect!
Going back in time to fix the future: what drives Jack to this? The end CoE? Something else post-canon? And I’d love if Jack wasn’t successful at fixing the future and instead kept things the same/made things worse, if you want to write something angsty. Or any other timey-wimey fun.
Jack doesn’t join Torchwood: I’d love to see what happens in a world where Jack isn’t part of Torchwood? Why does he decide not to join Torchwood? Or is he never given the chance to join it in the first place? What does Jack do while he’s waiting for the Doctor, or does he manage to fix his Vortex Manipulator sooner? And how does that affect the rest of continuity?
Jack Harkness is the Doctor: Jack!Doctor could be so much fun to explore! Does Jack take on the mantle of the Doctor for some reason, or is Jack actually the Doctor through some timey wimey shenanigans? What do other Doctors past and present and future think about this? Cracky or serious or an excuse for porn (identity or actual), I’d love anything.
Miracle Day doesn’t happen: exactly what it says on the tin. Miracle Day doesn’t happen (for handwave reasons or actual reasons, I don’t mind which). What does Jack get up to after Children of Earth? I’d love fic dealing with the aftermath/fallout of CoE, and maybe Jack reuniting with old friends?
The Doctor is stranded with Torchwood: I’d love to see the hows and whys of this happening, if that’s your thing. But the main thing I’d love to see is the Doctor’s dynamic with the Torchwood team (and especially with Jack in the role he has at Torchwood), whether that’s the S1-S2 team, the CoE team, or an older or newer team.
Time Loop: time loops! Past present future or all three, I’d love to see any kind of time loop which involves Jack. Jack/John Hart and the time loop Jack was stuck in, and an AU from that? A time loop during any of the Torchwood seasons? A time loop encompassing all the Torchwood seasons? Go wild!

The West Wing
- For this fandom especially I love loyalty and devotion. The relationships I've requested all involve characters who are extremely loyal to each other, and canon has a ridiculous amount of loyalty kink, and I'd love any kind of loyalty.
- Canon-typical politics and drama is great. I love the politics and how it's done in the show, and however you want to play with that would be amazing! I especially love how competent the characters are at their jobs even if they're not as competent in their personal lives.
- Fic/art of the future is also great! I'd also love to see pre-canon stuff.
- For this show especially, I'd love to see canon divergence AUs.
- TWW has lots of crossover potential with the MCU, DCEU, Harry Potter, Stargate (SG-1 and SGA), Madam Secretary etc. if you want to go in that direction.
- Or I would just love to see TWW in spaaaaaaaaaaaace if AUsyou’re your thing.

Character(s)/relationships:
- Josh Lyman/Leo McGarry
- Josh Lyman/Matt Santos
Always A Girl, canonically male character(s) is/are always a girl: I’d prefer both parties in the relationship being genderswapped here (although if you have an interesting idea for het genderswap I don’t mind that either). I’d love to see politics and navigating politics, or just F/F relationshippy stuff. My Rule 63 letter has more on my genderswap preferences if you want to look.
Characters become friends/allies earlier than in canon: Josh being recruited for the Bartlet campaign by Leo earlier? Or working with Leo even earlier than the Bartlet campaign? Or Josh and Santos working together on something earlier, or having worked together pre-canon, or Josh recruiting Santos for the Presidential nomination earlier?
Characters meet at a different point in their canon, characters meet earlier than in canon: If they meet earlier: Josh and Leo met when Josh was pretty young, IIRC, but if you want to go as early as possible that’s great! For Josh/Santos, them knowing each other/meeting pre-Santos’ Congress run, maybe, in college or while Josh is still fresh out of law school? For meeting later: maybe Leo didn’t know Josh’s father and they met differently, when Josh was older? Due to various circumstances, did Josh not meet Santos until late after he was elected to the House?
Leo doesn’t die: Leo doesn’t die fix-it (or not necessarily fix-it but just Leo not dying)! For Josh/Leo, post-canon established relationship and getting together are both great. For Josh/Santos, I’d love to see their relationship in the context of Leo being alive, with Josh and Leo working together.
Secret Marriage: I love secret marriages! For both relationships, navigating their careers while being secretly married. Or the marriage itself, or how it came about. Or just anything about my OTPs being married to each other, tbh. (My Just Married letter has more on what I like in secret marriage etc tropes specifically, if you want to look.)
Secret Relationship Is Publicly Revealed: for both relationships: what’s the fallout, political and personal? How are they discovered? How do the West Wing staff, other politicians, the press, and the public view their relationship? How do they deal with their relationship being publicly revealed?
