A Box Full O' Sweetness [Chocolate Box 2018 Letter]

Dear Chocolate Box Creator,

I'm so, so sorry about this letter. I got sick again just after the note below, and I'm still recovering, and I have scrounged up some prompts for everything I hadn't updated (the short paragraphs/bullet points), but they're very late and not the best/longest prompts. I'm so sorry.

I'm so sorry, family emergencies happened and I was ill and this still isn't done, but I'm putting up what I do have of this letter so that you can at least get a look at a general idea of what I like. I understand completely if you're going to ODAO, because I am ridiculously late (but this will be done by Wednesday midnight Thursday, sorry, even if I have to blow everything else off I swear).

I'm very excited about this exchange, and I'm so glad you're creating a delightful confection for me ♥.

If you want to know more about me , I’m

[archiveofourown.org profile] The_Wavesinger, [tumblr.com profile] the-wavesinger and The Wavesinger (Silmarillion Writers’ Guild) on my fannish haunts. You can also find me here on DW, and as [livejournal.com profile] the_wavesinger on LJ, but I don’t frequent those places often. I If you want more on my fic preferences (however unlikely that is, after this very long letter!), my fic rec tag on Tumblr and my AO3 bookmarks may be of some use, and for art, my art and fan art tags on Tumblr may be of some use You may also want to poke through my previous exchange letters.

This letter has a list of DNWs and general likes, and also fandom-specific prompts. However, please don't feel obliged to stick to my prompts—as long as you don't include my DNWs, I'm sure I'll love whatever you like.

The sections for some relationships are longer than others, but this is not because I want the longer relationships more than the shorter ones, it's just that for some relationships, I like very specific things, while, for others, I'd love basically anything.

DNWs:

  • Gore/guro/vore.
  • Necrophilia.
  • Torture of animals. (Humans/humanoids/other sapients being tortured is more than fine!)
  • Graphic descriptions of nausea/vomiting.
  • Reader inserts.
  • Mundane AUs.
  • Unrequested depowered/non-powered AUs.
  • Non-femslash A/B/O; femslash for this trope is fine!
  • Crossovers/fusions between fandoms I haven't asked for. (Crossover within any fandom in my letter or previous exchange letters, along with mythology and folklore, are more than fine!)
  • AUs with modern settings are no-no’s unless there’s a reasonable canon explanation (eg-: Tolkien, people cursed to be reborn again and again into mortal forms). Even then, please no high school or coffee shop AUs.
  • Please no age regression, de-ageing, or AUs in which one character is suddenly older than a previously older-than-them character (ageswap?).
  • Girl!penis. (Trans characters are fine, just please no inexplicable g!p.)
  • For smut, I'd prefer not to see bloodplay, scat, watersports, age play, and any sort of permanent marking/scarring (scarring and permanent markings outside smut is perfectly fine) unless I've prompted these things for the specific pairing.
  • H/C fics centering on characters with depression and/or anxiety, and/or characters who self-harm or have eating disorders are not my favourite thing. (All of these things are more than fine in non-H/C fic, but not as things which can be hugged/cuddled better, please.)
  • Genderswap which makes F/F or M/M canon pairings or F/F or M/M pairings I've requested F/M.
  • Unrequested relationships as the main focus of a fic (side pairings/non-endgame relationships are fine).
  • Unrequested parent/child incest.

General Likes:
Tropes, Genres, and (for fic) Story Elements

  • Angst. Drama. Politics. Tragedy.
  • Philosophical ponderings!
  • I love canon divergence AUs, and For Want Of A Nail and other what-if scenarios. I'd love both longer fic (for fic) and art/ficlets as snapshots of what could have been, all the things that could've happened, but didn't.
  • Soulmates! Not necessarily soulmate AUs (although that'd be more than fine), but soulmates as in 'I knew you the moment I saw you', or 'I felt you in my soul' or any other version of that—the electric connection is something I adore. Soulmate things I love include in every version of every reality, in another life, fated to be separated again and again.
  • Regency AUs.
  • Fake dating within the canon setting.
  • Arranged marriage within the canon setting.
  • Time travel and time loops, especially timefuckery where everything is fucked up!
  • (For femslash only) A/B/O
  • In-world mythology.
  • Cultural differences and clashes that occur due to cultural differences.
  • Worldbuilding in general.
  • Battle couples!
  • Lovers to enemies.
  • Enemies to lovers.
  • Trope subversions.
  • I have A Thing for sister/sister, and focusing on the sister aspects of the relationship—how they're alike and how they're different, and just how they're sisters.
  • Competence porn!
  • I also adore people being messes and general failboats, because, uh, contradictions?
  • I have zero problems with fics dealing with misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, racism etc. I like realism, but not overly-depressing fics or fics centered on issues at the expense of characterization. (I define 'overly-depressing' as continuous angst focusing on Issues and Only Issues.)
  • All the things that could've happened, but didn't.

Tone, Setting, and Miscellaneous Things

  • Characters dancing and spending time outdoors.
  • Characters in situations that shouldn't be funny, but are.
  • Characters who're comfortable around each other, and who tease and laugh with each other.
  • Slice-of-life fics and, for relationships, a look at all the quirks/annoyances of cohabitation.
  • Banter! I feel like I've repeated this a million times in this letter, but I adore banter!
  • Casual situations and everyday annoyances
  • Characters playing pranks on each other.
  • Generally over-the-top things played straight.
  • Drama interspersed with humor.
  • Characters sleeping on each other, making out for hours, drinking from the same cup, and generally being adorable!
  • Characters solving mysteries and going on journeys together!
  • Bittersweetness.
  • All the hard questions with no answers, characters trapped in unsolvable dilemmas, loss and grief and moving on.
  • Gallows humour, and humour in otherwise dark situations generally.
  • And just humour in general.
  • And if you want to go in the crack-y direction, I wouldn't mind that as well!
  • I adore OFCs and textual ghosts, for many, many reasons.
  • I'm more than fine with most side relationships, unless stated otherwise.
  • Genderbending! I always love Rule 63'd characters.
  • Open relationships! Threesomes! Moresomes! Orgies!
  • Transgender characters would be amazing, as would non-binary characters and just fucking with and/or ignoring traditional gender roles in general.

Character and Relationships Dynamics.

  • Characters who and relationships which fall just short of the mark, the almost-most-not-quite. I think the closest word to this would be hamartia in its original sense?
  • Hurt, and not necessarily comfort.
  • Fucked-up families and messy friendships which really, really aren't good for the characters, but they love each other very much anyway. I don't mind either characters finding ways to move past the fucked-upness and the relationships end up flourishing, or moving past fucked-up-ness and leaving what they don't want behind, but I also don't mind a constant cycle of messing up.
  • Found families!
  • Intense friendships which play a central role in the characters' lives.
  • For longer works, plotty fics are always welcome!
  • Stoic and/or emotionally incompetent characters
  • Characters finding ways to come to terms with themselves, with their pasts, and with their loved ones and/or finding their place in the world (think Circle of Life).
  • Characters who're broken, characters who're tired, characters who're lost, characters who refuse to be found, characters who're hurt over and over again, characters who never ever win, characters who've given up. And characters who love, characters who give, characters who're selfless and kind even after everything they've been through, characters who give their all and then some more to people they love, characters who never give up, characters who keep on hoping and keep on fighting even beyond the bitter end. And characters who're a mixture of both types.
  • I love characters with flaws and unpleasant qualities! Awesome ladies can be awesome and flawed :).
  • I like relationships that are fated to end in tragedy, but I also really don't mind a pinch of humor with my angst, if that's your thing.

Stylistic Things for Fic

  • I like all kinds of fic, so go wild—linear narrative, flashbacks, epistolary…whatever you think of is lovely, the more daring the better. I especially adore faux-historical documents and faux academia.
  • Relatedly, interactive fiction!
  • Characters teasing and bantering with each other.
  • I don’t mind any type of POV (including second person!). In fact, POV switches and outside POVs on relationships would be lovely.

Smut Likes

  • I will always want F/F or M/M smut, even if I haven't explicitly requested it! Femsub is preferred for F/M D/s smut, though I'm down for femdom if that's your thing, too.
  • I prefer a balance between sensuality, emotions, and physical sensations. Anything from playful to creepy is more than fine (although there are a few things I'd prefer not to see, as outlined in the kink DNWs).
  • Helplessness and humiliation. These are the two main things I love in kinky smut, and everything else derives from there.
  • Bantering and laughing during sex is lovely, as is gentleness.
  • And banter between the dom and the sub in D/s scenes (which can edge towards slightly cruel on the dom's part!).
  • Angry sex/hatesex, smut that gives off vibes of slightly creepy but in a way that can't be pinpointed
  • Dubcon and emotional manipulation!
  • Explorations of power dynamics. I especially like service submission, and power dynamics based on the characters' titles/positions! (I do confess to having a kink for honorifics and titles!)
  • Doms having control over the sub's everyday minutiae (although for short periods of time—24/7/365 high-protocol D/s is a turn-off)
  • Punishment play, especially unusual forms of discipline! (I don't like erotic spanking in and of itself, but spanking as punishment is great! And whatever interesting punishments you can come up with.)
  • Corner time, especially kneeling on rice/somehow having to display themselves/after a spanking.
  • In general, being put on display/having to put themselves on display.
  • Tickling! Both playful tickling and tickle torture (bondage + tickling = yessss).
  • Gags and other ways to prevent speech. And weirdly specific, but fingers of one character in the other's mouth.
  • Groping, especially pulling breasts out of tops (and sometimes letting them just hang there, if you're into humiliation).
  • Orgasm denial, especially chastity devices.
  • Fuck-or-die scenarios.
  • Creative bondage (including predicament bondage. No, strike that, especially predicament bondage, and especially if the predicament is partly psychological).
  • Similarly, ordering a partner to stay still/hold a certain pose.
  • Incest kink.
  • Hairpulling.
  • Directed masturbation (one character instructing the other how to masturbate).
  • Dirty talk (including long distance dirty talk).
  • Navels, inner things, ribs, and kinks for these body parts.
  • (Not really a like, but I'm afraid my AO3 bookmarks won't say much about my smut likes, because I have a separate account for smutty bookmarks. Sorry.)

Darker Likes

  • Dark places and enchantments which entrap people without their knowledge
  • Getting lost in creepy surroundings
  • Corruption and decay
  • Explorations of the darker side of magic (or its equivalent), especially magic that's considered 'good'.
  • Exploration of the supernatural aspects of the canons.
  • Nature being eerily alive and dangerous.
  • Child soldiers, trauma, and really ugly, messy wars.
  • Characters trapped in vicious cycles.
  • Characters who think they're 'not good enough' for their partner(s).
  • Situations where characters are blackmailed/coerced into doing things they don't want to do.
  • Fucked-up families and friendships and relationships; people codependent to the point of almost-insanity, and far beyond anything healthy.
  • Looking into messed-up characters' thought processes.
  • Terrible things being done in the name of good by characters who see themselves as good.
  • Perversion of the 'good' side of magic to do evil things.
  • Mindfucks and powerplay.
  • Torture for the sake of torture, and characters being stoic through torture.
  • Noncon. I like both works focused on sexy (for fic and art purposes) noncon as well as more seriously-dealt with noncon and noncon aftermath.
  • Pregnancy due to F/F or M/M noncon.
  • Badtouch that doesn't lead to noncon, it's just there and creepy. (Especially when coupled with emotional fuckery and mindgames.)
  • Relationships where one characters is in love, but the other isn't.
  • Partners doing terrible things to each other.
  • Characters who hate themselves and lash out at the world and do fucked-up things as a result.
  • Really, really dark stories which end in the 'everyone dying' sort of tragedy.
  • AUs where everything goes wrong.
  • For darkfic especially, I love outsider PoVs—it makes everything 100% more terrible for me.

Art-Specific Likes and Prompts

  • I adore all kinds of jewellery—the more elaborate the better!
  • And elaborate hairdos! And elaborate clothes! And elaborate makeup!
  • I do, however, also enjoy seeing characters in their workaday attire, doing everyday things.
  • Characters with visible height differences from each other!
  • Elaborate weapons
  • In-universe art. (Famous portraits, posters for events, propaganda/health-and-safety leaflets, handwritten notes, maps etc.)
  • In-universe statues and tapestries and architecture
  • Court settings with pomp and circumstance or everyday life are both things I enjoy seeing.
  • I also enjoy seeing outdoor settings. Lakes, mountains, spooky forests, bustling cities, rivers, tiny hamlets, cottages, forests...
  • Specific canon locations (like the Withywindle for Tolkien, the Spirit World for A:tLA etc.)
  • Studies in opposites
  • Limited palettes
  • Non-traditional art mediums would be welcome.
  • Characters doing things they love together (I know this sounds very pairing-specific, but I'd lovelovelove this for friends and/or parents and children and/or siblings, too).
  • Ceremonies and events (coronations, balls, feasts, weddings etc.)
  • Picnics, garden parties, outdoor events, riding, hunting etc.
  • Characters arguing or debating with each other.
  • Starlight and warm colors and pastels.
  • Colour palettes that fit the character (golds and greens for Goldberry in Tolkien, for example, or shades of red for Natasha Romanov in MCU)
  • Characters passionate with and about each other and about things they love
  • Seasonal settings (falling leaves or snowed-over land or flower-filled meadows or golden fields etc.)
  • Characters fighting and having each other's backs, and, for A:TLA, bending!
  • Bloodied and bruised characters leaning on each other on on the nearest available upright surface after a hard battle
  • Characters facing each other across the battlefield (especially friends-turned-enemies)
  • Gift-giving, both literal and metaphorical
  • Characters reading or writing
  • Characters in libraries/otherwise surrounded by books
  • Characters who've fallen asleep (in bed, on a pile of books, sprawled across the sofa, on the floor, on another character—anywhere, any place, any time)
  • Characters in meetings/teams seated around tables or in lounges
  • For modern-era canons, airports!
  • Characters who look messy and/or rumpled and tired and way too fucking busy why is this my life
  • Characters in a private moment.
  • Casually intimate gestures, like handholding or hands on shoulders or arms around waists/on shoulders, or just reaching out to adjust the other's clothing
  • Kneeling and hand-kissing for pairings where I specify loyalty kink, or for gen or shippy combinations which involve a superior and subordinate in a setting where kneeling would work
  • Forehead kissing!
  • Tickling and playful tussling
  • Day-to-day activities (eating, bathing, morning rituals etc.)
  • Characters being cheesy or tender or dorky or awkward with each other (or all or some of these!).
  • All the smutty things I've indicated in the smut section! For art especially, a visual focus on power difference (standing/kneeling, clothed/unclothed etc.), looking well-fucked and/or humiliated, straining against bondage, decorative bondage.

Agent Carter

  • Can I just say 'I'd love absolutely ANYTHING for this fandom'? Because if I were to compile a complete list of everything I adore about Agent Carter I'd probably be here all day. I love all the characters and ship basically everything in Agent Carter.
  • I am ridiculously sad that the show was cancelled, so anything post-Season Two would be great.
  • Since I can't say 'anything' (or, well, I could but it wouldn't be helpful): I adore the secret spy shenanigans and Peggy's over-the-top badassery. All the secret agent things are ridiculously iddy for me.
  • I love the very human antagonists and the handwavey science of Season One, but I also love the supernatural elements (and obviously again handwavey science) of Season Two.
  • International conspiracies and shadowy spy organizations!
  • I love how magnified everything is (and I think Agent Carter is a lot more comics-style than the MCU).
  • I love that Peggy is arrogant and over-confident and dismissive and kind of an asshole. (Also a great person, but she has flaws that aren't tied to her being a woman and I adore that, and also Agent Carter was actually what made me ship Peggy/Steve because they are ridiculously similar and yet completely different.)
  • The humour! I love Peggy's deadpan humour especially.
  • I also love that Peggy is the only female agents in an organization of, um, male agents, and she faces and fights misogyny even after she's proved herself over and over again, but she also has lots of significant female relationships and there's no Exception To The Norm narrative.
  • I also love what little we got to see of Peggy with the Howling Commandos and how much more comfortable she is in the field than behind a desk.
  • The end of Season Two left so many threads open, but then Season Three didn't happen and I'm so disappointed. So maybe something set post-canon?

Angie Martinelli/Peggy Carter

I love both Peggy and Angie so bloody much, and the actresses have great chemistry with each other, and Peggy's and Angie's dynamic in Season One really does read very much like a romantic subplot to me, so I ship them very, very hard.

Maybe something set post-Season One, Peggie and Angie finally acting on their feelings? Maybe kissing, maybe going out on a date together? Or, I'd also love to see them post-Season Two. You can just handwave away all the romantic plotlines if you want, or maybe Peggy and Sousa break up amicably eventually, just Peggy and Angie shenanigans, please. (And I know that Angie didn't appear in Season Two except for a cameo because the actress had scheduling conflicts, but I'm still disappointed, so if you go with an AU where Angie plays a bigger part in S2, I'd also love that.)

And I'd love to see what Angie thinks of Peggy's career in a super-secret organization, and how she adjusts to her girlfriend's...erratic work schedule, and the constant danger Peggy's—and by extension Angie's—life is in. And Peggy's not very good at finding a work-life balance, I imagine, so maybe something about that? Or maybe something about Angie finally getting her breakout Broadway role?

Or maybe the two of them just spending time together with each other, kissing lazily or bantering and flirting and exchanging horror stories about work together, or having sex or dancing. Or the two of them at Angie's workpace, with Peggy sitting at the counter and Angie behind it, or Peggy watching Angie finally on Broadway, or maybe Peggy throwing herself in front of Angie to protect her from bullets/fists/etc.?

Dottie Underwood/Peggy Carter

I love both Peggy and Dottie a ridiculous amount, and as with Angie/Peggy, their actresses are both gorgeous, and they both have a ridiculous amount of chemistry. (And also the fact that they kissed in canon; or rather, Dottie noncon kissed Peggy. There's also that :D)

For this relationship, I'd love alllll the noncon or dubcon. Or just noncon kissing or badtouch, or one character tied up (or helpless in some other way) and at the other character's mercy. (Or both of them tied up, or both of them being non-con'd, or...)

I love the dynamic between Peggy and Dottie. I love that Peggy is the one person who really gets Dottie, when Dottie usually just manipulates everyone else, and I love the push/pull relationship they have going, where Dottie fights Peggy and wants to be Peggy at the same time, and where Peggy sees Dottie as her foe but also feels responsible for her, and they both respect each other as equals and rivals in a way their male colleagues don't. I love the cat-and-mouse (well, cat-and-cat, really) vibe they have going, and the fact that they end up opposite sides but team up anyway. I loved their interactions in both Season One (the flirting and the weird almost-love triangle between Angie, Peggy, and Dottie! The fight and 'I can be anything I want'! The kiss!) and, well, Season Two was pure gold for Dottie/Peggy (Peggy breaking Dottie out and finding her predictable! Dottie not betraying Peggy until she's forced to talk by Whitney Frost! Peggy coming for Dottie!).

Anything set at any point would be lovely; there's plenty of time for hatesex hookups between scenes. Or maybe post-canon, they find each other again, perhaps still rivals? Or maybe Dottie decides to go straight and Peggy helps her (and maybe that decision doesn't last)? Or an AU where they're somehow both on the same side from the beginning?

Dottie Underwood/Whitney Frost, Peggy Carter/Whitney Frost

Whitney Frost's zero matter powers are absolutely fascinating and there are so many uses for them, and her being so damn powerful and also more than a little bit deranged is basically catnip to me, and I adored seeing Peggy and Dottie fight her and would have loved MOAR. Whitney torturing Dottie was just so much id fuel and her being able to break Dottie is just aaargh. And there were so many glimpses of what could have been a deliciously fucked up rivalry/relationship between Peggy and Whitney in S2 (Peggy destroys everything! Whitney hates her so much! Peggy is dedicated to taking her down!) and I will be forever bitter we didn't get to see more of them. (If you want to write/draw Peggy/Dottie/Whitney I'd be down for that, too.)

If you want to go in the noncon or dubcon direction, that'd be great. If you want to go in the non-noncon direction, that'd also be great. Just anything to do with these women, please.

Peggy and/or Dottie visiting Whitney when she's locked away, post-canon perhaps? Maybe they're trying to reform her, maybe they just go there to check up on her, maybe they're gloating. Or maybe Dottie or Peggy under Whitney's clutches, being menaced by her while they're tied up? Her using her zero matter powers to torture Dottie and Peggy? Or getting more hands-on, teasing and torturing them sexually? Hair-pulling, groping, fingering, or maybe she uses 'tools'—nipple clamps, vibrators, wax, dildos, floggers etc.?

Or maybe Whitney breaks out at some point in the future and Peggy and/or Dottie have to chase her down? This can lead to either non- or dub-con, or Whitney slowly falling for whoever's chasing her. Or I'd love to see a canon divergence AU, where Whitney was stopped before she went completely power-drunk, somehow?

Howard Stark/Steve Rogers

I loved the whole idolization Howard had going for Steve in S1, and how much Steve factored into Howard's motivations, and Howard's search for Steve (it kills me that he kept looking even after all reasonable people would have stopped, after even Peggy stopped—that is not a man who has dealt with his grief), and I love that Howard has built Steve into a perfect person in his head. I am here for one-sided Howard/Steve as well as completely requited Howard/Steve and all the shades in-between.

Steve and Howard stealing a moment between missions for each other, maybe? Or Howard going out onto the field with Steve (and getting injured)? Either way, I'd love something that captures how fragile and fleeting their relationship would be in war (especially with the state of flux the army's attitude towards homosexuality was in in WWII, if you want to go in that direction). Or something playing with the fact that Steve is, essentially, Howard's creation? (Howard running tests on Steve/the serum? Possesive creepiness if you want to go in a darker direction?)

Or if you want to write/draw lots of angst, I'd love angst! Howard collecting photographs and piles upon piles of mementos of Steve, maybe? Or looking at a photograph of Steve (or the two of them together) pinned up somewhere in his study/workroom or which he carries in his pocket? Or something about the search for Steve, how he looks and looks and never gives up? Or, less angstily, an AU where he somehow survives until Steve is discovered (and maybe even Steve being discovered sometime earlier?)

Or angst while Steve's alive would be great, too! Maybe Howard looking at Steve from afar and pining over him, or fucking other people to get Steve out of his mind only it doesn't help (and Steve stumbling upon him at some point), or they have sex but Steve doesn't love Howard, or Hydra releasing some sort of sex pollen that makes them fuck and then the aftermath of that when they realize what happened (and this last one can go a less angsty way too!)?

Howard Stark & Peggy Carter

I love the dynamic between these two so damn much. I love that they obviously have a history, and their interactions are wonderful. Peggy's business-like manner and Howard being all laid-back inevitably produce sparks and I love them jabbing at each other but there's mutual respect there, even though they know how to push each other's buttons. Also their mutual love of Steve (and the 'I loved him too' basically broke my heart, and also 'I know how much he meant to you').

While I really do prefer them as friends I could see them having grief-induced sex after Steve's plane went down. If you want that as backstory that'd be fine, but only as backstory, please. No sex in the present. Or, the two of them grieving over Steve in their own ways, and how do they react to each others' grief? (Peggy was closer to him, Howard arguably more obsessed with him, so that'd be an interesting dynamic to see.)

Also, I love that they're friends, but in this really prickly, tense way, and I'd love to see anything playing with that. Peggy snapping at Howard over something? Howard getting into Peggy's personal space and annoying her with that (art of this?)? Howard flirting with someone just to piss Peggy off?

And SHIELD! I'd love to see more about how they found SHIELD and carry it forward. Do they still annoy the fuck out of each other, and does Howard still deliberately wind Peggy up? Do the two of them still go out into the field together? (Peggy protecting Howard from something/someone, guns blazing, or yelling at him if he fucks something up?) If you want to do something with SHIELD and intelligence agency politics and inter- and intra-agency and -governmental power struggles, I'd love that too. (And do they ever get to the root of Leviathan? Do they get close to discovering the secret of the Winter Soldier before chance intervenes?)

Howling Commandos & Peggy Carter

I loved Peggy's interactions with the Howlies in Agent Carter, and I want moar. I love the easy rapport she has with them and how she's basically one of their team (even when the team's switched up a little), and how seamlessly they work together and how much the Howlies look up to and respect her, and I'd love to see her with the Howlies, whether that's during the war or after the war.

I'd love to see Peggy and the Howling Commandos spend some time together, with or without Steve (and Bucky), before or after the war. Maybe on a stealthy mission going in covertly, or covering the Howlies' asses to the Colonel and justifying some risk they had to take, or sitting around a campfire at night, or a reunion twenty-five/fifty years on? Or I'd love to see them all grieving Steve and Bucky together, the people they fought side-by-side with. Also, was the dynamic different between Peggy and the Howlies before and after Steve's death? Was there a shift in tone/nature of their interactions or not?

Was the mission we see in S1 the only mission she went with them for after the war, or were there other occasions they teamed up? When she's running SHIELD, does Peggy call in the Howlies' help for certain tasks? Does she join them even after she becomes Director, and is it good old times again, or does she sit the missions out and supervise them (and does she have to be convinced that she's too valuable to be out on the field, and does she agree or flip her middle finger)?

Or maybe an AU where she takes up their offer to quit SSR and join them on the field again, if only for a short time to take a break/work holiday? What kind of missions do they have? Does Peggy enjoy being back on the field with her men, or is there a part of her which knows she's needed at SHIELD/SSR?

Avatar: The Last Airbender

  • I love the mix of darkness and humor in A:TLA—it's one of my favourite things about it. Also how deeply fucked up it is. Give me all the fucked-up childhoods and child soldiers and dictators! Fucked-up childhoods especially are a Thing for me.
  • Bending! Bending is another wonderful thing, and I'd love explorations of the hows and whys of bending for fic. And for art, bending and the elements and all the different fighting styles Exploring the roots of bending, having fun with bending, the darker side of bending—I'd adore it all!
  • Spirits and the supernatural and all the otherwordly aspects of the A:TLA world! I especially love the spirits' inability to distinguish between different humans.
  • Worldbuilding—the past of the A:TLA world and the politics of said world are things I always love to see being explored.
  • I love the character arcs for basically all the characters, and I'd adore something set in the future, because I want to see what happens to them! Bridging the gap between A:TLA and LoK would be particularly lovely.
  • Speaking of LoK, LoK and A:TLA sometimes have wildly different interpretations of events (lion-turtles and the origin of the Avatar comes to mind), so something about that, maybe?

Azula & Zuko

I love how they're twisted mirrors of each other, and I'd love to see something on how fucked-up they are, and yet how, ultimately, they love each other (even if that love doesn't stop them from destroying each other). Either pre-, post-, or during canon would be wonderful!

Azula obviously didn't have a childhood filled with rainbows and ponies, but I do think that Ozai's terrible parenting methods were more...subtle with Azula than with Zuko—while there's a lot of straightforward neglect (and obviously at least one occasion of physical abuse), Ozai does appear to care somewhat about Azula, albeit in the most fucked-up manner possible, leading to Ursa having less influence over Azula. This, I think, influenced her interactions with other people in canon, and significantly affected her relationship with Zuko because she's playing out the only dynamic she knows; maybe something about this? Alternately, you can have Azula as a complete psychopath who's exactly like her father! I wouldn't mind that either.

Maybe something to do with Azula and Zuko's childhoods and Azula's twisted, fraught relationship with her brother? Or maybe a moment between Azula and Zuko where they were almost like normal siblings? Alternately, a scene while Azula's hunting Zuko, maybe a flash of sympathy that quickly evaporates?

And all the fire-themed arts, please and also dragons. For art especially I'd love to see Fire Nation traditions and customs and symbolism.

Azula/Mai/Ty Lee, Azula/Ty Lee

Dark ships of my heart! And by dark, I mean dark. Dubcon, powerplay, mindfucks—throw them all at me, and I'd love it! Loyalty, of course, and tests of loyalty, and tragedy and betrayal, and anger and passion and also auras, and I just want dark, dark fic and art. I love the loyalty and power aspects of Azula/Ty Lee(/Mai), and I love Ty Lee's and Mai's eventual betrayal and all the angst because of that, but I love that Ty Lee and Azula and Mai care for each other very much despite the betrayal.

How did the they become lovers? Was it a twisted test of obedience or did they really love each other, or both? What would happen to Ty Lee (and Mai if OT3), who betrayed Azula, if the Fire Nation emerged victorious after Sozin's Comet? Does Azula get visitors post-canon, and are those visitors Ty Lee and/or Mai? If you follow comics canon, I would also love anything exploring the events of the comics, too. Or, for smut, playing dangerously with fire, and smutty tests of loyalty. (This is a thing for me for these two pairings, hushhhh.)

Or maybe an AU where the Fire Nation wins and Azula becomes Fire Lord? Mai and Ty Lee kneeling to their Fire Lord? Or an AU where Azula doesn't go crazy and loses anyway? What would that mean for Mai and Ty Lee?

For art: Azula making Ty Lee (+ Mai) stand still while she runs flame (she controls the heat of) over them? Or post-canon, meeting each other again (side 'ships are fine) and fucked-up things in that direction? Or something showing their childhoods?

Azula/Katara

I very much adore how the two of them are placed in opposition to each other, and I'd love foeyay, hatesex, slowly falling for each other, or anything in between.

I love the aspect of opposites attracting, and how they're kind of each other's mirrors in a sense but also each other's foils, and how neatly that mirrors their bending (fire and water!). Anything playing with their differences and their different natures would be great, especially for art.

I'd love to see any situation where Katara tries to find good in Azula, somehow, or doesn't try to find good in her but shows her some sort of mercy or kindness that starts to slowly change Azula's perspective. (Post-canon, visiting Azula in prison?)

<>A situation where they fall for each other but hold on to their worldviews would also be great. It probably wouldn't end well and it would probably result in a lot of misery, but for everyone involved. But. Think of the hatesex. (Clandestine encounters in the middle of battle, anyone?) And think of Katara pleading for mercy for Azula after Azula's defeated, or having the power to grant Azula mercy and having to choose whether to exercise it.

Or noncon/dubcon! What if Katara is captured by Azula at some point? (After the eclipse?) Azula menacing Katara, maybe (leaning over her, all up in her face?), and threatening to torture her/actually torturing her with her flames? Interrogation sessions that lead to sex? Sex as an interrogation session? Using Katara as a hostage to capture Aang?

Hama/Kanna

This is a...very tenuous thing I've requested, based on the fact that Hama was once a waterbender of the Southern Water Tribe so Kanna probably knew her, and I'd love to see any fic or art on that!

The two of them before Hama was captured, maybe, falling for each other and spending time around each other and trading kisses and huddling up together, and maybe Hama waterbending to woo Kanna? Or maybe Kanna trying to rescue Hama after she's captured and having to be talked out of it, and/or grieving Hama?

Or, if you want to go extra-angsty, does Katara waterbending remind Kanna of Hama very much, and it becomes another thing in life she has to power through and force herself to survive? (For art, baby Katara waterbending while Kanna sees the ghost of Hama reaching out from behind her as if to touch Kanna?)

Or, what if Hama goes back to the Tribe after she escapes from the Fire Nation, dark and twisted as she is? Does Kanna try to stop her, or is she so glad of Hama's return that she doesn't see what's going on until it's too late? Does she have mixed feelings about bloodbending, because it sounds completely wrong but it's also waterbending? Any dubcon/noncon you want to write/draw, any twisted/creepy relationship would be great here. (Hama forcing Kanna by literally making her do things she doesn't want to, through bloodbending?)

Kanna/Yugoda

(I'd also love Kanna/Yugoda/Pakku, but this is 100% optional and I'd adore Kanna/Yugoda on its own very, very much!)

Pakku wasn't the only one who missed Kanna, and who loved her, maybe? Yugoda loved her too. Kanna and Yugoda, or the three of them, finding each other again, (and Kanna surprised but pleased at how much Pakku's changed if Kanna/Yugoda/Pakku), and falling in love all over again.

Or the aftermath of Kanna's escape from the North Pole, and Yugoda's feelings of betrayal? Or maybe something about Kanna's girlhood, and Yugoda and Kanna's first meeting and falling in love? Or do they only fall for each other after the events of The Siege of the North and Yugoda somehow making her way to the South Pole? Either way, I'd love something bittersweet and gentle, with lots of angst.

Or maybe an AU where the two of them run away together? Are they discovered, or do they manage to find the Southern Water Tribe together? Or, how would that end, with the attacks on the Southern Tribe for waterbenders by the Fire Nation?

For art, I'd love something to do with ice or water, maybe them on a boat weaving in between ice floes? Or their first meeting, or when they meet again? Or Yugoda showing Kanna her healing powers? Or just the two of them cuddling in furs!

Katara & Kya & Kanna

Three generations of Southern Water Water Tribe women! I'd love to see the three of them interacting when Katara's very young. Or maybe Kanna or Katara reminiscing after Kya's death? I'd love to see Southern Water Tribe culture, and maybe something about Katara's waterbending?

For art, maybe something with ice, and/or a happy moment? Or something about Kanna's necklace being passed down to Kya, then Katara.

Or maybe something to do with Katara finding her place as a waterbender, guided by her grandmother and the memory of her mother? I love the idea of bending and I'd love to see it explored more. Something about Katara's connection to the Moon and the Ocean, perhaps, and maybe something about how it's familiar? Or her learning new moves and testing the limits of her power (because Katara is pretty damn powerful, powerful enough to be terrifying) and Kanna watching over her, and Kya's ghost hovering (or Kya herself if it's a younger Katara)? Or Katara as a teacher, maybe, teaching waterbending, and how that fits into the things she's been taught by her mother and her grandmother?

Or, what would happen if Kya had lived? Whether the Fire Nation raid hadn't happened or whether she'd been captured would play a big part in deciding the outcome, but what choices would Katara make with a mother to rescue or a mother guiding her, in addition to her grandmother's guidance?

Katara/Suki

Sisters-in-arms (except with a lot more romance ;))! Katara and Suki fighting together, living together, loving together. Kick-ass women kicking ass, action, adventure! And all the bittersweet fluffiness is also lovely.

Post-canon getting together would be wonderful—it can always be after Aang's death, just before LoK, if you don't want to break Katara and Aang up, or maybe after Tenzin's born? Or maybe an AU where it's Katara who flirts with and does all that stuff with Suki the first time they're on Kyoshi Island, and go from there?

I would love to see Katara fighting with/training with the Kyoshi Warriors, because the two of them hit all my battle couple kinks hard. Or maybe Katara and Suki sparring?

Or Katara and Suki navigating the politics of the post-A:tLA world (and maybe not being very good at it, especially Katara, because she's a warrior dammit not a diplomat? Although competence kink would be great too)?

And, of course, all the smut, because honestly I love the two of them for their prettiness and they are double the gorgeous together. Do they find creative uses for Katara's waterbending? Do they defile Suki's Kyoshi Warrior garb, or even Kyoshi's clothes themselves?

Katara/Yue

We know Katara has a special connection to the moon (and I resisted making a joke out of it! So proud of myself), and it's not difficult to extrapolate from there! Yue visiting Katara in her dreams, maybe and dreamsex? Or Katara visiting the Spirit Oasis post-canon, and communing with the moon? Or post-Hama, how does Katara thank Yue? Either way, I'd love something about the moon and about waterbending, please!

Or maybe an AU where Yue falls for Katara instead of Sokka? Would that end the same way as it did in canon? Would Katara's lover watch over her (more closely than in canon, even!) and protect her?

And for smut: incorporeal sex? (With Yue not having a proper body or Katara in the Spirit World) Or waterbending + sex, or the power that must be involved when the Moon Spirit orgasms!

We've seen from both A:tLA and LoK that the Spirit World can be both fluffy and terrifying, so explorations of the Spirit World from Yue's perspective, whether she's telling Katara about it or Katara is in the Spirit World with Yue accompanying her, would be great. For art especially, the Spirit World would be interesting to explore, especially since Yue is a spirit herself. Or maybe Yue gets caught in some sort of spirit-trap and Katara has to rescue her?

Kyoshi/Yangchen, Kyoshi/Original Female Character, Yangchen/Original Female Character

How do Avatars adapt to being thrust into a world of alien cultures and people, and regarded as a god among them? How do they react to this, by clinging tighter to their culture and heritage or letting it go altogether? Does Kyoshi turn to her past lives? How does she get on with Yangchen? Does she like her or is she annoyed by her? What does she think of Yangchen's advice and how Yangchen lived her life? And, in the afterlife, do they bond? Do they have lovers while they're alive, and who are those lovers? Are they from the Avatars' own nations or from another nation? What does it feel like to be the Avatar's lover? How do you deal with it, both the spiritual and social aspects? Basically, I'd love culture clashes and cultural exploration, and a journey to find balance.

Hatesex/ambivalent-feelings sex for Kyoshi/Yangchen (or even the OFC ships) because they're so different from each other? Does Yangchen teach Kyoshi and punish her when she does something wrong and does it devolve into sex? Do either of them use their Avatar powers for sex? Are their non-Avatar lovers terrified if they do this, or do they go along with it?

For art, the Spirit World! I'd love to see Yangchen and Kyoshi after their deaths, or Kyoshi communing with Yangchen while she's Avatar, or either one of them visiting their old lovers after their death somehow. More specific prompt: how does kissing work when one or both partners are incorporeal?

Raava/Kyoshi/Yangchen, Raava/Yue

Spirit World shenanigans! I'm sure that Raava communicates (*cough cough*) not only with Avatars present, but with Avatars past too, and with the denizens of the Spirit World! I'd love to see something about the role of the Avatar, and what Kyoshi's and Yangchen's views of that are, and what Raava's views are, and what Yue thinks, as both a spirit and a former human. Culture clashes, basically, and misunderstandings based on the fact that one of them is an extremely powerful spirit who used to live in their bodies, if OT3, and the other two are humans, albeit dead humans from two completely different cultures, while Yue is a strange hybrid of human and spirit. Does Raava misunderstand and miscommunicate with her human hosts sometimes? Does she make her presence felt when she's annoyed? Does she communicate with the Spirit World and its Spirits?

And spiritual connections and Raava using her powers for the greater good to pleasure her lover(s)! And, again, incorporeal sex. And maybe tentacles? Or any other wacky/xeno-ish body parts, and maybe even f!preg?

For art, Raava isn't always as massive as in LoK, right? And how, exactly, do the three of them interact in the Spirit World? Or the Avatar Spirit facilitating communication between Kyoshi and Yangchen? Or, how do the Moon and the Avatar commune? (Aang/Korra staring up at the moon, and a ghostly Raava rising to meet a ghostly Yue?) Or, what does Raava + Kyoshi + Yangchen/Raava + Yue smut look like? I would love to see the mechanics of these pairings! Does Raava take human form separate from the Avatar, do they have sex with Raava's original spirit form, or is it more like masturbation? And can Yue change her form at will, or is she stuck as either her human form or the Moon?

Roku/Sozin

Something angsty for both fic and art, please, or bittersweet, or completely, utterly, fucked up. Unrequited love or mutual pining that's never resolved in more than fine with me, and, for fic, questions about loyalty and what being the Avatar means, and maybe some Fire Nation culture/lore.

What did Roku's and Sozin's childhood look like? Were they lovers as boys, or did they fumble with each other and explore but not really talk about their feelings, or did one of them pine for the other from afar? Did they train together? Did they communicate in any way at all after Roku became Avatar—were there unwritten letters and sleepless nights? Or did they sort of maintain a rapport for some time before time and each others' new responsibilities broke their relationship down?

Or, anything to do with Fire Nation politics, and how Sozin's personal feelings are deeply tangled with his politics as he rises to become tyrant? How does the Fire Nation become the absolutist state it is in A:TLA—surely it didn't happen overnight?

For art, I'd love flames and fire—they're both firebenders, after all! And maybe dragons, too? Or the two of them sharing each other's company before Roku is chosen as Avatar. Or maybe Sozin and Roku facing each other or thinking of each other after everything goes wrong?

Suki/Ty Lee, Sokka/Suki/Ty Lee

For these two, or these three, I'd love 'Ty Lee joins the Kyoshi Warriors'. Past Azula/Ty Lee would be an added bonus, of course, and I'd love a gentle fic about grief and loss. Hurt/comfort would be lovely, as would a bittersweet tone, and mutual support and bonding. How does day-to-day life in the Kyoshi Warriors work? Are there any initiation rituals? What sort of sacred traditions and observances do the Warriors follow? Are they always training on Kyoshi Island, or do they travel and lend their services and practise diplomacy if it's not wartime? If OT3, how do Sokka and Suki fit Ty Lee into their already-existing relationship? Or is it an AU where the three of them get together at the same time?

Or an AU where they remain enemies? How would that work? Does Ty Lee take Suki (+ Sokka) prisoner, or is it the other way around? Or do they keep facing each other in battle and flirting until they somehow fall into bed together?

For art, them being dorky together and/or fighting together? The two/three of them teaching each other new fighting styles? On holiday post-canon, lazing around on a beach or going on wild adventures, but not of the save-the-world type enough of those have been had to last a lifetime thank you very much? If you're doing Sokka/Suki/Ty Lee, my wild-and-throwing-it-out-there prompt is all three of them in the Kyoshi Warriors uniform?

Ursa/Female Dragon

Okay, fine. Most of my A:TLA 'ships for this exchange are crackships can you not hear me crying 'porn with plot' here. But hear me out! Ran and Sho (Shaw? The Wiki says 'Shaw', but it looks weird) may not be the only dragons alive—maybe one or two dragons survived on some far distant island? And maybe Ursa, once she's exiled, visits those far distant islands? (Comicsverse ignoring is great! Or you can make it comic-compliant, maybe something with the Blue Dragon? I'm not bothered either way.) And, um, oviposition and tails being involved in sex and biting and fire?

Or if you want to do something more serious and less smutty, I'd also love to see more about

For art, I'd love to see the dragon curled around Ursa! Or the dragon gently breathing fire over Ursa! Or Ursa flying on the dragon, or the two of them firebending together. Or, if you want to make it smutty, how does dragon-on-human work? Is there penetration by tail and oviposition? Or, the even-more-ODAO-than-the-other-optional-details request: Ursa pregnant with the dragon's eggs/children?

Crossover Fandom

Aredhel (Silmarillion)/Goldberry (LotR)

Kind of a crack pairing, yes, but maybe Aredhel stumbles upon Goldberry instead of Eöl, and everything goes much happier? Or maybe Goldberry finds her as she and Maeglin flee from Eöl. And the timelines possibly don't match up, but maybe Goldberry was born/created/sprung fully-formed from the River-woman before the First Age?

Aredhel's desire for freedom would be utterly in line with Goldberry, I feel, and maybe Aredhel is attracted to how unfettered Goldberry is? And maybe she envies Goldberry as well?

I would love Aredhel and Goldberry having no-strings-attached sex or Goldberry enchanting and entrapping Aredhel somehow, but I'd also love the two of them creating something more permanent together (although maybe ending unhappily because of the Doom?). Whatever you want would be great!

And visually, I love how their different appearances would meld—Goldberry's golden hair and bright clothing and Aredhel's dark hair and grey eyes and white clothing together are very visually appealing to me. (Or, well, you could ditch the clothing and have them naked. That would also be extremely visually appealing, of course!)

Arien (Silmarillion)/Susan Pevensie (Narnia)

Okay, so this is a very short section because I saw this in the tagset, and because I'm attracted to the crackiest of crack pairings I just had to request it, and I would basically love anything about them, because it's a challenge to get these two to work.

How do they meet? Is it in Narnia? (Is it the same sun in all worlds?) Or is it once Susan is back on Earth, the first or the second time? Or is it after Susan's eventual death, when she accidentally goes the way Elves go instead of to Aslan's land?

Does Arien consume Susan, or does Susan tame Arien's flame (I would especially love art for both these things!)? Does Arien literally burn for Susan? Does she show the sun off to Susan? How do they work together? How do the smut mechanics work with the two of them?

Diana (Wonder Woman 2017) & Peggy Carter (Agent Carter), Diana (Wonder Woman 2017)/Peggy Carter (MCU)

A lot of what I like for these relationships are basically the same things as for Diana and Steve—meeting in the middle of a war, naïve character and less naïve character interacting when both characters are idealists, banter and comradeship, mortality and immortality.

Does Peggy meet Diana during WWII, or maybe is it earlier? Was Diana an old family friend who encouraged her to pursue her dreams? Or maybe Diana trains Peggy pre-TFA? Or maybe they meet during the war, as unlikely allies fighting side-by-side? Or do they meet post-war, after Diana's gone into hibernation and Peggy is at the SSR/SHIELD? Maybe Peggy calls Diana in to consult on a case involving antiques? Or maybe they meet outside of their work, casually?

Do they remind each other of their lost Steves, and of everything they've lost? What I love about Peggy is that she remains an idealist despite everything, but a nitty-gritty idealist who's aware of the work that needs to be done. How does Peggy's continued idealism affect Diana?

Anything with the two of them fighting together or with each other, please, or solving a case together, or spending downtime together.

Diana (Wonder Woman 2017) & Steve Rogers (MCU), Diana Prince (Wonder Woman 2017)/Steve Rogers (MCU)

So, I love both of them a ridiculous amount and I would adore seeing them meet! Diana probably fought in WWII at some point, so maybe she met Steve and the Howling Commandos on the frontlines? Or did they meet after Steve was unfrozen, in the 21st century?

Diana is a goddess fighting to protect mortals, and Steve is a man turned into an almost-god, and they're basically mirrors of each other. And Diana is a lot more naïve than Steve, in some ways, especially in the horrible things human beings do to each other (and WWII was probably the reason she became disillusioned), so something about that? Or, I'd be very interested in post-Avengers, possibly post-TWS or even post-CW Steve meeting post-BvS Diana—how would that go?

Or maybe they fight side-by-side and/or have a chance encounter at some point during WWII? (And if you want to, the two of them meeting again after Steve's unfrozen and everything involved in that?) I'd just love to see them fighting back-to-back in any way! (And they match, too, not just with the uniform colours but with the shields, too!) Or comparing fight moves (some of which are very similar to each others')? Or just chilling with each other in their downtime, in civilian clothes and maybe, after Steve's unfrozen, both of them exploring the modern world?

Cap!Diana or Wonder Woman!Steve would be extremely interesting, too (and doubly so if you keep their origins, so Steve is still from Brooklyn and Diana from Themysicira—I'm interested in how that'd work out).

Dottie Underwood (Agent Carter)/Natasha Romanov (MCU)

Honestly, for me, a lot of this relationship is that I like the types of characters both of them are, I think their actresses are extremely gorgeous, and I'd love to see them together in any way or form.

Dottie and Natasha seem, to me, to be very similar in some ways, not just in their past, but also in their mannerisms. I love that both of them are very adept at wearing masks, at reading situations and doing what needs to be done in those situations, at manipulating people, at killing and disabling people, and just at spying in general. I love the idea of child soldiers who know of nothing except being weapons slowly finding their personhood as grown adults. I love their similar backstories, and how, in canon, Dottie never really manages to get away (and is a lot more morally grey than Nat) but Natasha does.

Maybe Dottie is Natasha's mentor in the Red Room? Or maybe she's the one who helps Natasha to get out, eventually? Or maybe she and Natasha work for opposing organizations on a contract basis? Or maybe an AU (or kind of partly using Nat's comic backstory), Natasha was also trained by Leviathan, only a few years after Dottie? Whether you want older woman/younger woman, or an AU where they're the same age, is fine with me, and I'd love mentor/mentee, rivals having sex or enemies to lovers, finding comfort in each other, or whatever else you choose. (I definitely wouldn't mind side Peggy/Natasha and/or Peggy/Dottie for this relationship.)

Erendis (Silmarillion)/Penelope (Odyssey)

The main thing I love about the tragic Greek hero is the concept of the fatal flaw, and I'm a little bit annoyed there isn't much exploration of that with women. I also adore tragedy in all its various forms.

The similarities here are obvious, and to be honest, I was thinking of something cracky with the two of them going fuck their husbands and banging, but if you could get a serious premise to work, that would be wonderful, too. The worldbuilding is slightly iffy here, and either handwaving or whatever elaborate explanation you come up with would be lovely!

And I love that the stories told about both of these women must have changed over time (in real life for Penelope, obviously, but also within Middle-earth for Erendis), so something about that, maybe? (And something about distortion, maybe, because after all, men have had the pen in their hands for the longest time)

Erendis (Silmarillion)/Queen of Faerie (Smith of Wootton Major)

Who was the Queen of Faerie? Was she part of Arda or from a completely different world? How did Erendis find her way to her? Are their spells and enchantments (and immortality!) involved? Or does Erendis stay of her own will?

I'd love something about the star of Faerie and Erendis being 'Lady of the Star-brow'—there's a very obvious connection there. Was she the first Starbrow? Or is she the Queen of Faerie, and these are selfcest shenanigans? And if so, how did she acquire her Queen-ness?

And the grim, dark images that Smith sees of warriors coming back from the Marches etc.—perhaps something about that? Does Erendis go out and fight? Or maybe her watching the warriors come back, or getting into arguments with the Queen, because do we really need to send the warriors out, if we ignore the dark will it ignore us right back?

Galadriel (Silmarillion)/Xaphania (His Dark Materials)

I specified Silm!Galadriel for this because I would adore Galadriel at the height of her rebellion against the Valar meeting Xaphania—perhaps one of the holes the subtle knife made was into the world of Middle-earth? What would they make of each other?

Their motivations and situations, while somewhat similar in some aspects, are completely different in others—would they clash? And perhaps some of Galadriel's maturing and growth was influenced by Xaphania?

And the divinity of Galadriel's world is very different from that of Xaphania's. I don't think that the Eru of Middle-earth meshes well with the HDM Almighty—something about that? Or something about the Valar and the differences (and similarities) between the Valar and the angels/Dust of HDM, and the fact that Galadriel's rebellion is much more morally contentious than Xaphania's? Or maybe something about their differing perspectives of divinity, both due to the worlds they live in and who they are?

Ginny Weasley (Harry Potter)/Roxy Morton (Kingsman), Roxy Morton (Kingsman)/Nymphadora Tonks (Harry Potter)

(And I wouldn't be opposed to threesomes either!)

I'm sure the Ministry of Magic must know of Kingsman, and maybe they need a liaison? Or is Roxy a witch from an old family who decides to do something different? I can imagine all kinds of wacky scenarios that lead to these two meeting, so go wild!

For either pairing, there would probably be some sort of age gap, so something playing with that, maybe? Or, Roxy is much posher than either Tonks or Ginny, and both Tonks and Ginny might instinctively dislike her because of that—maybe them clashing because of that, and possible hatesex?

Or perhaps Roxy's goals and the goals of witch(es) don't align, and maybe they're even fighting against each other? (And maybe they tie each other up for reasons?)

Or I'd love their differ to see their different fighting styles, and the two (or three!) ending up fighting bad guys together and saving the world. Or just Kingsman-style shenanigans. Or snarking at each other and all sorts of banter. Or trying to impress each other and going ridiculously over-the-top. Or—you get my point, don't you?

Goldberry (LotR)/Pomona Sprout (Harry Potter), Pomona Sprout (Harry Potter)/Yavanna (Silmarillion)

Two people (well, a witch and an Ainu/whatever you think Goldberry is) who love the earth! (And I wouldn't mind Pomona/Goldberry/Yavanna at all, if you want!)

We know that Yavanna tended to the 'small and secret things', and was one of the few Valar to go to Middle-earth—and maybe she still does, in spite of the Hiding of Valinor? And, again, my Calypso!Goldberry headcanon is a thing, and Pomona is the next person Goldberry falls for?
Or perhaps Pomona wandered the world when she was younger, and met a mysterious woman, or maybe her lover visits Professor Sprout at night, in the Forbidden Forest.

Whatever way you choose to spin this is wonderful! And if you feel like something smutty, maybe some sort of sex magic, possible involving aphrodisiacs or maybe vines, or shifting earth? Or, smutty or non-smutty, I'd love to see how the magic of the Harry Potter world and the more elemental and unexplainable power of Middle-earth mesh (and that sort of melding may not always end well?).

Goldberry (LotR)/Uinen (Silmarillion)

Goldberry is the River-woman's daughter, so it's not inconceivable that she's related to Uinen, if you want to go the incest way. (Which is of course completely optional; non-incest fic/art for this pairing would also be wonderful!) I'd like to see them meeting—what do they make of each other? They both seem to be wild, free spirits, so maybe something supernatural? Maybe something about their respective powers, or something about their roles in the Music/in Arda?

Or anything that's creepy and/or eerie, focusing on their otherworldly natures? They're both not mortals of any kind, both of them fay spirits, and they're both ambiguously benevolent—something about that, maybe? Maybe the two of them caught up in each others' enchantments? Or a mutual push-and-pull relationship, because the forest feeds from the river which flows into the sea? (Or anything else about mutual beneficiality.)

Or maybe anything to do with Goldberry and who she is, and where she came from. Whether you want it to remain a mystery or shed some light on it, either is fine, I'd just love to see more of who she is and what she's doing in the Old Forest.

Jane Foster (MCU)/Mary Malone (His Dark Materials)

I saw this pairing in the tagset the day signups closed and fell completely, utterly in love ♥. Brilliant physicist meeting and falling in love with each other? Sign me the fuck up!

Do they have opinions on their fields? (Who am I kidding, of course they do.) Do they get into really intense fights about that? Or are they curious about each others' fields and each others' experiences with the supernatural?

Or, if you want to fudge timelines a bit, maybe Mary and Jane meet after the holes in the world are closed by Xaphania et al and whatever happened between Jane and Thor happens, and they find comfort in each other after the supernatural world they were previously plunged into is suddenly not there?

Or maybe an AU where they knew each other from before their adventures and they're plunged into each others' supernatural shenanigans? (Maybe they use their experience from their own supernatural shenanigans and/or call upon allies? Or maybe Mary stumbles into Asgard while TDW is happening, somehow?)

Or meetcutes! Was their first meeting supernatural or completely mundane? Did they meet at a conference, a lecture, a coffee shop, on the train or plane? Did they work with each other for a while? Or maybe it was the supernatural things that they both deal in that drew them together?

Margaret Dashwood (Sense & Sensibility)/Catherine "Kitty" Bennet (Pride & Prejudice)), Margaret Dashwood (Sense & Sensibility)/Georgiana Darcy (Pride & Prejudice)

Margaret! She's the forgotten sister, much like Kitty, and we don't really get to see much about her in the book (again like Kitty and Georgiana) so I'd love to see any kind of fic and/or art about her.

Her and Kitty would get along very well, I think—they have similar personalities, and I feel like, after an initial adjustment period, she'd get on well with Georgiana too, and maybe draw Georgiana out of her shell?

How do they meet? Is it maybe in London, when both characters are out for the season? Or do Elinor and Elizabeth get to know each other and they meet through their sisters? Is it an instant connection, or does it take time for them to get close to each other? Do they end up getting a house together and living as 'spinsters'.

For art, maybe one of them watching the other play the piano, or riding together, or walking together whether in the city or the country, or reading and writing side-by-side, or sharing a bed at night, or their faces illuminated by candlelight?

Minerva McGonagall (Harry Potter)/Susan Pevensie (Narnia)

It's not-inconceivable that these two would meet—they're around the same age, after all, and Susan, I imagine, travels enough, and maybe Muggle-Repelling Charms don't work properly on her? And Professor McGonagall could easily have a partner at home. I'd love to see these two women with each other.

I also love the idea of Susan being an ardent feminist as she grows older! Also I would kill for historically accurate feminism, if that's your thing.) Or being involved in politics, because once a politician always a politician. (Or both. Both is good!) And maybe Minerva meets Susan through this?

Or maybe something darker, set during the First War—perhaps Susan is a bystander who's almost killed by a Death Eater, or an important politician the Order and therefore Minerva has to protect?

Peggy Carter (Agent Carter/MCU)/Roxy Morton (Kingsman)

Roxy already seems to have a certain level of training pre-Kingsman, so maybe Peggy trains her? Is Peggy a relative of hers (and all the incest potential in this!)? An old family friend? Or did Peggy meet a teenaged Roxy and take her under her wing? Play this any way you like, I'd just love to see Peggy teaching Roxy and/or just the two of them spending time together and getting on like a house on fire.

I love mentor/mentee dynamics, especially with the age gap between Peggy and Roxy being as large as it is! Skeevy or non-skeevy, whichever you prefer is fine with me, but either way, I'd love to see Roxy admiring Peggy, and all the power dynamics.

Or if you want to go AU, Arthur!Peggy. Lancelot having an affair with Arthur would be potential for aaaaall the intra-agency conflict, maybe? Or maybe they know each other from before Kingsman? Whether it's a fusion where the MCU 'verse doesn't exist or a crossover where Peggy, with her experience at S.H.I.E.L.D., takes over after V-Day is up to you.

DC Cinematic Universe

Antiope/Diana, Antiope/Diana/Hippolyta, Antiope/Hippolyta, Diana/Hippolyta

These three! I love all three of them and the complicated, tense dynamics between them and also how much they clearly adore each other, so anything to do with that would be great.

I don't mind whether you keep Antiope's death or fix it. On one hand, it was an emotional moment in the film and central to Diana's motivations and lovely and tragic, but on the other, Antiope is dead. So I'd love to see either the Hippolyta and/or Diana grieving for Antiope, but I'd also love to see a fix-it where Antiope lives.

I love the idea of an all-female band of warriors created specifically to bring peace to the world, so I adore the Amazons (although the pasting-on of some vaguely Hellenic trappings to a basically Judeo-Christian origin story kind of made me LOL). Anything to do with the Amazons would be wonderful!

Themyscira must be self-sustaining because it doesn't have any contact with the outside world, so it must have people other than warriors—farmers, weavers, potters etc. How does that work? Do the warriors do all of the above things, too? Or are there non-combatant Amazons? In which case, what are the attitudes from the warriors towards those non-combatants? And what role do Antiope and/or Hippolyta play in the organization of the everyday minutae of the island?

Something about their origins, maybe? Maybe something about their first battle against Ares and how they fought that? Or maybe something about Antiope and/or Hippolyta being created by Zeus? Or maybe something about the creation of Themyscira and the early days on the island, and the transition from peace to war? Or, does anyone (especially Diana, who has never know anything outside of Themyscira) ever get bored of Themyscira or restless to explore the outside world?.

For any variation on these pairings, I love the loyalty and power differentials at play. For Antiope and Hippolyta especially, I love the Queen and commander trope, and I'd love to see how their respective roles come into play in their relationship. And for Antiope and/or Hippolyta with Diana, there would also be the specific issue of them being parents/parental figures and having that kind of power over Diana; anything to do with that would be great, too.

I love people having each others' backs in battle, and people in the aftermath of battles, bloodied and bruised and exhausted. And for romantic/sexual relationships, I love battle couples. (Also, I feel like the Amazons would be great for if you want to go in the army of lovers direction.)

I'd love to see Antiope training Diana and Diana hero-worshipping Antiope, or Hippolyta and Diana clashing more as Diana grows older but also getting to know each other as people instead of just in their roles as mother and daughter, and in general the three of them spending time with each other.

Also, the strong hints towards the Amazons having sex with each other a lot are wonderful, and I'd love to see more about these arts of pleasure. Do they try out different instruments, try to hold of orgasming for some time (perhaps using certain devices to prevent self-pleasure), experiment with both rough and gentle sex? Do they invent sex toys? (Is there a whole trade in sex toys?)

With regard to incest, maybe the Amazons don't have an incest taboo? Or I have a huge thing for incest kink and the dirtybadwrong feeling and the shame that comes with it, so maybe they do? Or maybe 'sisters' is more in the sisters-in-arm sense? Or maybe, for the best of all worlds, they had an incest taboo in the beginning, but as time passed and they grew more and more disconnected from the mortal world, the taboo faded? And I do imagine that there would be a different kind of taboo/issues for ships involving Diana, so anything to do with that would also be great.

For art, I love the lush visuals of Themyscira, and I love how different the Amazons are in appearance (and to an extent in combat styles) and from what little we see in personality from each other. I also love the different styles of weapons and body armour. I'd also love to see Antiope and Hippolyta in more casual clothes—Antiope especially is in armour in almost all the instances we see her, and I'd love to see her in more casual attire. Or the armour is also great, because I love the visuals of the armour, and I love seeing them training.

Hamilton – Miranda

  • This is my newest fandom (I know, I know, how did I not get into Hamilton at some poi t during the last two and a half years? It's a long story) and I am still in the everything has a shiny glow and I LOVE EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING stage, so you can't go wrong here. Seriously.
  • I haven't consumed much fanworks yet so forgive me if my prompts are things that everyone has written/drawn at some point and is completely sick of by now.
  • I don't mind whatever level of historical accuracy you go with—history what history, kind of sort of accurate, as accurate as you can get within the confines of the show, whatever. (I'm currently reading Chernow and will finish it and also probably his Washington biography before reveals, so.) The only thing I ask is that you keep the things LMM changed.
  • Speaking of which, I really love the themes of how history will reflect you and how you're remembered is based on who tells your story that echo through the show.
  • For M/M and F/F (this is more fic-specific), I'd love to see period-typical homophobia and the sneaking around and near-discoveries etecetra that would result in.
  • For this show especially, I'm a fan of canon divergence AUs, alternate histories etc. Just all the what-if moments, please.
  • Also, genderswap! I'm very interested in what'd happen if any of the characters were of the opposite gender. Just please make sure that if you're switching genders for a M/M or F/F ship, you switch the genders of both characters unless I'm explicitly okay with it being otherwise.
  • For art, whatever cast you want to use (current Broadway/OBC/Chicago/West End) is fine! Just not actual historical figures' faces/appearances, please.

Aaron Burr/George Washington

Okay, so the maybe thirty seconds in Right Hand Man are pure gold and, um, yeah. I ship it. Burr's eagerness to get into Washington's good graces! Washington's annoyance with Burr sucking up to him (and the fact that he rarely shows his annoyance but he did at to Burr)! Burr somehow managing to say the exact things which will piss him off! And 'close the door on your way out' following Burr's eager 'sir' is just...ughhhhh I love this pairing so much ♥.

I'd be interested in seeing Washington run into Burr at some point after he dismisses him so thoroughly. Does Burr show his resentment at Hamilton's rise in prominence, and does it anger Washington? Or maybe Washington is angry about a loss and Burr unintentionally aggravates him until he takes out his wrath on Burr, whether that's through words or violence or sex (or all three is good)?

Or maybe an AU where Washington meets Burr earlier? Does he still not like him very much? Or maybe Burr somehow becoming Washington's aid? (And maybe Burr's rivalry with Hamilton annoying Washington?)

Or maybe in Act II, Burr does get his wish to be at the right hand of the father, except not the way he imagined? He imagined himself standing, not on all fours, kneeling. Or any kind of political battle when Burr's Senator that ends in Burr being thoroughly tongue-lashed (and otherwise-lashed) by Washington?

Maybe something playing with how Burr brings out the worst/pettiest part of Washington, if that's your thing? And for art specifically, in addition to the things above, I love how Burr's all stiff and formal while Washington is still majestic as fuck but also less beholden to protocol, as it were, when they're talking, and I love the visual cues which all point to how much Burr is subordinated to Washington and how it's really Washington who's in charge here.

Alexander Hamilton/Angelica Schuyler/Eliza Schuyler

Okay, so this is a threesome waiting to happen. All of them care very, very deeply for each other even though one of them is a huge fuck-up at caring, and I just want to see them together, in any way or form. I love the motif of never quite being satisfied (and it's all three of them who aren't satisfied—Angelica and Hamilton are explicit about it, but Eliza also I think grows less and less satisfied as the story goes on—that would be enough, have I done enough (and also the lack of satisfaction was originally Chernow on Eliza, so)? And is that because Angelica and Hamilton change her?). If that's your thing, I'd love an exploration of the dissatisfaction that lingers beneath the surface of their relationships—would a threesome change this, or would it not? If you're interested, I also love that Hamilton and Eliza are both a lot more explicitly concerned with the narrative and how history sees you than Angelica is (not that she's not very much aware of her role in the present). Also the fact that 'best of wives' very much echoes Angelica's 'you have been blessed with the best wife' in Congratulations.

'Take a Break' was the most obvious threesome set up/invitation every ♥. I'd love to see an AU where Hamilton takes up Angelica's and Eliza's invitation. Smut is great, with all of them in bed together, or maybe just walking around, boating on the lake, having tea together etc.? Or, alternately, I'd love to see the effects of Hamilton's changed decision. Does his name stay clear, does he eventually become President, or does he get caught up in something else that leads to his downfall? Or angst post-It's Quiet Uptown, perhaps, growing together because of Philip's death?

Alternately, UST is also great, with the three of them flirting and dancing around each other, but never quite giving in/showing their feelings. Angst or bittersweetness for this would be great? Angelica laughing with Eliza and Hamilton? Hamilton dancing with both Eliza and Angelica separately? Angelica looking in on a moment between Hamilton and Eliza? Angelica the Younger and Angelica the Older playing, with Hamilton and Eliza looking on fondly? Eliza reading Hamilton's and Angelica's letters? Eliza and Angelica upstate, wishing Hamilton was there?

Alexander Hamilton/Eliza Schuyler

Okay, so I love these two a ridiculous amount. I love both their characters and I love their relationship (seriously, I usually don't get into canon F/M at all, but here I am, head over heels for this ship), and I love their tragedy and their angst, and I just love everything about them.

I love how Hamilton and Eliza are very, very different from each other, but at the same time they're very similar. And how they do love each other, but that doesn't stop Hamilton from fucking up massively. And also the fact that Eliza is a very lovely person, but she has a core of steel (all of Burn, honestly) and, like Hamilton, does what she needs to do to get what she wants (I mean, I understand perfectly why she did what she did in That Would Be Enough, but writing to Washington instead of Hamilton was (understandably) kind of manipulative, which is what I love about her). In general, I love the complications and messiness and imperfections of their relationship, so anything with that would be great!

Anything from their relationship would be lovely. Hamilton wooing Eliza, Eliza flirting with Hamilton? Waiting for and reading each other's letters? More on their wedding (and wedding night)? Eliza waiting for Hamilton at home (and her unhappiness at being left behind), Hamilton thinking of Eliza at home? Or, the days of Eliza's pregnancy with Philip?

Or the later troubles in their marriage, maybe? All the Act II angst, please, whatever kind of angst you want to do. Or possibly an AU where Hamilton stopped and thought for a minute—how would that work out? Or their reconciliation during and after It's Quiet Uptown, or Eliza grieving Hamilton?

Or maybe Eliza and Hamilton with their children? Playing with them, on an outing with them, maybe sitting for a family portrait? (And if you really, really want to break my heart maybe Philip the youngest being held in Eliza/Hamilton's arms (with their other children around them) while Philip of Stay Alive lingers in the background as a ghost?)

Also, what was in those letters that Eliza burned that could have redeemed Hamilton? (And if you're so inclined, maybe epistolary fic?) And, for art, this is completely 100% optional, but maybe one of Hamilton's letters to Eliza, or a fragment of a letter, illustrated/reproduced whatever way you want to?

Alexander Hamilton & George Washington, Alexander Hamilton/George Washington

These two. Just—these two. I love their messy, strained dynamic, I love the whole mentor and reluctant mentee thing they have going on, and also Hamilton's utter loyalty to Washington despite rebuffing his attempts at closeness (call me son one more time!), and Washington seeing himself in Hamilton and relying so deeply on Hamilton, and the two of them growing to care for each other very much (and Washington being one of the few people outside Eliza and Angelica and Philip who Hamilton reacts to in a way that's all feelings), and everything about them, really. Especially the small things: Washington standing with Hamilton at his wedding in the musical (and the ItH callback with adjusting Hamilton's clothing like in 96000!), the salutes and Hamilton constantly looking at Washington whenever Washington's in a scene and not undercover (even in A Winter's Ball! Also the fact that Hamilton sticks to Washington even then, until Angelica comes back), the unmiked conversation during Non-Stop from the Hamiltome, both of them but especially Hamilton crying in One Last Time, Washington's look in The Reynolds Pamphlet.

I'd love to see anything about Hamilton's days serving under Washington as his aide. Did Washington scout him from afar and keep an eye on him before Hamilton was asked to be his aide? Does Washington attempt to get close to Hamilton but is rebuffed? (For platonic, only—if you're writing shipfic—and shippy art too though this is really more fic-specific—I'd love to see Washington restraining himself because internalized homophobia and rank differences and all the thousand different complication that would affect any potential relationship between them.) Maybe a scene where one of them is at the other's bedside when the other is sick/injured? Or maybe Washington and Hamilton working together on letters/documents? Or, and this is a very specific prompt, but post-Yorktown, does Hamilton witness Washington's reaction to Jacky's death?

Or when Washington becomes President, all the political intrigue! The two of them learning to work together in a more equal standing, Washington's annoyance with Hamilton's and Jefferson's catfights, an evening of political schmoozing, Hamilton accompanying Washington out on one of his morning rides? Or, for gen, Washington being Hamilton's actualfax father?

Also, maybe more on how Washington sees himself in Hamilton, or at least sees the mistakes he made? (Art idea: Washington looking at Hamilton while the ghost of young Washington lingers behind him?) And obviously Washington came from a much better-off background than Hamilton did, but he also climbed socially through marriage and war, and also Hamilton has one thing Washington was very keenly aware of his lack of—an education—so anything on that?

For smut: both 'punishment' and actual punishment (that could either turn into smut or not), Hamilton kneeling for Washington and boot-licking and boot worship, body worship on both sides of the equation, makeshift gags (Hamilton needs to learn to talk less!), Hamilton being tied up if there's time and they're in a private place, cock warming, orgasm denial, and just generally power dynamics and Washington controlling Hamilton (and I'm a huge fan of visual power dynamics for art: clothed Washington/unclothed Hamilton, Washington towering over Hamilton etc.). Also, not strictly smut, but maybe Washington and Hamilton fearing discovery and trying to be circumspect, or being discovered and the consequences of that.

Alexander Hamilton & George Washington & Martha Washington, Eliza Schuyler & George Washington & Martha Washington

This will be short, again, because both these relationships are amalgamations of other relationships I've requested for the characters, and I don't want to go over the same things, but. The Hamiltons, whichever one of them, interacting with the Washingtons is my jam, and you can't go wrong with fic/art of that.

Martha Washington's feral tomcat! What does Hamilton and/or Eliza and/or Washington think of the naming of the cat? Is the cat like Hamilton not just in mating habits but in other personality traits as well? Does everyone adore the cat?

Or the wine cooler! I find it hilarious that the Washingtons sent the Hamiltons a basically “Hamilton you're a dick, Eliza we're sorry Hamilton is a dick, we stand by you and support you no matter what (even if you're a dick Hamilton)” gift, and I would love to see more on that. The inspiration? The transportation? The reaction?

Or anything else with any of these relationships, really, whether fluffy or angsty scenes, or political manoeuvring (or all of the above).

Alexander Hamilton/Gilbert du Motier Marquis de Lafayette/George Washington

Okay, so this is basically my Hamilton/Washington and Lafayette/Washington requests combined. I like a lot of the same things for all these ships (power dynamics, almost-insubordination and military hierarchies, secrecy and sneaking around and repression and guilt and almost-discoveries and discoveries, politics, cultural/class difference clashes, father/mentor figures), so this section is going to be v. short. Art prompts especially are very similar, so I'm just going to list a few art things instead of going into detail: riding into battle, stolen moments away from camp/in a locked room or closet, huddling for warmth in a cold situation, Washington looming over the other two, being all in each other's personal spaces.

Hamilton and Lafayette performing (sexually or otherwise) under Washington's command! Fic or art, this is such a delicious scenario, whether it involved letter-writing, war tactics, meetings, kissing, fucking each other etc. Also, punishments for transgressions, and never let it be said that Washington isn't creative!

Also, do Lafayette and Hamilton sometimes get competitive over Washington's affections (despite Hamilton being more reluctant to respond because he's prickly like that)? Is Washington wistful of the time Lafayette and Hamilton spend together? Are two of them in a relationship before the other is brought in, and does it cause issues? In general, how do they sort through their relationship?

Also, extra angst and repression issues, because Washington is fucking two boys, and not only does that lead to a greater risk of discovery, it's also even more precarious politically and it's almost certainly Lafayette and Hamilton who're going to face the most consequences.

Alexander Hamilton & John Laurens & Gilbert du Motier Marquis de Lafayette & George Washington

Washington and his military family! I'd love to see more of Washington's relationships with his aides and officers. How did they first meet him and come into his inner circle? What is their position in the inner circle, and how do they view their own and each others' positions?

It's obvious in the musical that all of them cared for Washington, in their own way (even Laurens, who we see interact with Washington the least, leaped to Washington's defence in a duel), but these were clearly very different ways. Does this cause any issues? What ways do they show how much they care for Washington (obviously Hamilton being more repressed and in denial than the other two :D)? And does the difference between their positions (especially between Lafayette's position and Hamilton and Laurens being Washington's aides) cause any frictions between the three?

Alternately, maybe some of them*coughcough*Hamilton*coughcough* cared less for Washington than the others, and chafed over their positions/were annoyed by certain things? What kind of friction, if any, would this cause? Were there disagreements over 'you're being too distant and ungrateful' vs. 'you're being a suck-up', ? (Or maybe one/all of them really, really disliking Washington but sucking it up for the sake of the power that comes with the name?)

What does Washington think/feel about the three of them? Do they occasionally exasperate him? Do they cause a ruckus at camp sometimes (we didn't mean to sir it just happened)?

Ideas for specific scenes: riding into battle together, Washington giving them orders/dictating letters, the three of them defending Washington's honour and/or getting into a scrape and trying to hide it from him. Or, if you want to get super-fluffy, the four of them stuck in some remote shack/other cold place huddling for warmth, or Laurens, Lafayette, and Hamilton sprawled on the floor/all over each other working while Washington presides over them.

Angelica Schuyler & Alexander Hamilton & George Washington

Okay, so as you have seen I have a ridiculous amount of feels about these characters, and anything about them meeting and talking would be great! I have a knack for choosing the most difficult possible relationships, I know, but seriously, I have a huge craving for the three of them meeting.

As I say elsewhere in this letter, based on my admittedly very patchy knowledge, it's very likely that Washington and Angelica would have known each other (and even if they didn't I'm headcanoning that they did :D), and Hamilton and Angelica as well as Hamilton and Washington all obviously have histories and their own dynamics. I'm very interested in seeing what'd happen if all that was put in one room. Would it end well? Would it not end well?

All of them in a room together, arguing or even talking would be intense, and if you want to do that, a visualization of that would be great. Or Angelica and/or Hamilton pledging loyalty to Washington and to the country.

Maybe they meet at the Winter's Ball, or maybe at Eliza and Hamilton's wedding? Or maybe later, in New York, when Washington is President, Angelica pops in to pay a visit to Hamilton (when she's back on holiday from England?) at the same time as the President is at Hamilton's house, on official business or otherwise?

Or maybe an AU in which Angelica dresses up as a man and joins the army, or women are allowed in the army! (And female!Washington would also be wonderful in either case, if that's your thing.) If she dresses up as a man, is she discovered (and that moment would make for interesting fic/art too!) or does she manage somehow to become one of Washington's aides without discovery? If otherwise, I definitely feel like Hamilton's and Angelica's brilliant minds would clash, especially if they were both Washington's aides.

Angelica Schuyler & Eliza Schuyler, Angelica Schuyler/Eliza Schuyler

Angelica's love for Eliza and how it's all-encompassing and the most important thing in her life is one of my favourite parts of the show. (I love my sister more than anything in this life I will choose her happiness over mine every time! And the dismissiveness of 'I'm not here for you', and just everything about their relationship ♥.) I'd love both platonic and incest-y fic/art (and fic/art that's inbetween, with lots of UST, too!), and for shippy stuff, either completely required Angelica/Eliza or unrequited Angelica->Eliza would be great.

I'd love to see Angelica and Eliza growing up together, as children. What was their household like? Were they always very devoted to each other? Was Angelica even at that point giving up everything for her sister? Perhaps a scene with the two of them playing together as children. Or later, as young unmarried women—going to balls and seeking out suitors (and coming home and discussing or, for shippy stuff, discussing them, or a scene with the two of them dancing together after the ball?), sneaking out of the house to go downtown, reading pamphlets and writings together and getting caught up in the ideas and ideals of the Revolution. I want to know more about the two of them before they meet Hamilton, more about what kind of people they were.

Or after their marriages and their separation from each other, maybe something about the letters they wrote to each other? Or supporting each other through war and childbirth, even when it's from afar? Or, during Take a Break, what did Angelica and Eliza get up to upstate while Hamilton wasn't there? (Gen—boating, walks, playing with the children, letting go of their decorum and climbing trees/getting all muddy—or shippy—trading kisses, holding hands and picnicking where there's no-one to see, in bed together—would both be great.) Or Angelica comforting Eliza and picking up the pieces after The Reynolds Pamphlet, maybe, or Angelica trying to comfort Eliza after Philip's death and the subsequent events? Or Eliza relying on Angelica after Hamilton's death, the two of them grieving for him and building something from his death? (And maybe getting together post-canon?)

Angelica angst! She's given up so much for her sister, so, gen or shippy, I'd love to see more on everything she's sacrificed. (For art—or possibly even fic—all the things she's given up lying behind her, fading into the background, while she's looking at Eliza and only Eliza?) Also, if you're up for Angelica->Eliza, maybe angst about how she would treat her sister so much better (Eliza is the best thing in our lives!), and how she's never going to have her? Or for both requited and unrequited shippy stuff, if you want to play with the taboo aspect of incest (angst! Guilt! Repression! Kinking on it being taboo/their similarities!) that'd be great too.

Angelica Schuyler & Eliza Schuyler & Peggy Schuyler, Angelica Schuyler/Eliza Schuyler/Peggy Schuyler

AND PEGGY! Basically everything that I want for Angelica/Eliza and Angelica & Eliza, only with extra Peggy—growing up together, catching the revolution fever, getting married and keeping in touch after their marriages. Most of my detailed art/fic prompts are up there and apply equally to these groups, so this section's going to be short.

In addition to the Angelica and Eliza stuff, Peggy is an outsider in the musical, a reluctant part of the triad and not in sync with Angelica and Eliza like they are with each other. Does this come of being the youngest? What does Peggy feel about the situation? Does she feel jealous, left out, or is she dismissive of and annoyed by her sisters?

For shippy stuff (and more specifically smut; all these prompts are optional, of course): Angelica and Eliza double-teaming Peggy, whether to take her out of her shell or to get her to be bolder or because she's been naughty and has to be punished. (Also, anything you can think of involving Peggy + a chastity belt.)

Also, if you want to get angsty: Peggy's death and the impact it has on Angelica and Eliza? Or any other angst is also great!

Angelica Schuyler & George Washington, Angelica Schuyler/George Washington

I needed only the five seconds Angelica and Washington dance together in Helpless and Satisfied to want to see them in any capacity, whether gen or shippy. Also, Washington and Angelica have corresponded, and Washington knew Philip Schuyler, and REG has played the Nala to Chris Jackson's Simba sometimes in Lion King, that is more than enough for me to fall down the rabbit hole of want. (Seriously, though, the fact that Angelica's the only woman Washington danced with at the ball, if I remember correctly, is ♥. And how gentle and dignified the dancing is! And how reverent Washington looks of Angelica when he's basically moving around her.)

So—anything about them meeting. Did they have any sort of conversation at the ball? Or maybe Washington knew Angelica as a child? Or did they keep up more correspondence that was lost? Or, after the war, did Angelica visit Washington for some reason? (Maybe a political reason?) Or maybe they meet at one of Martha Washington's parties?

For art, I'd just love to see more of the reverence and gentleness that's in their interactions with each other—the specific scene I don't mind being anything.

If you're up for AU ideas, Angelica dressing up as a man to join the army! Either gen or shippy would be very fun here—does Washington discover Angelica at all, or does Angelica manage to evade being detected? (Or genderswap where Washington is also a woman? And either the army somehow allows women for handwave reasons, or Washington managed to hide it all this time.) And I do think that their reactions to each other would be less reverent if they met in any other situation or society than they did, so you can play with that if you want.2

Smut for shippy fic and art: gentle, reverent dom Washington would be great, worshipping Angelica (and driving her mad through teasing)! Or maybe she gets too fired up and needs to be disciplined?

Eliza Schuyler & George Washington

This is another one of the 'what if these characters who've never met in canon meet in canon' requests. So: what if these characters who've never actually talked in the musical meet?

We know that Washington was at Eliza's and Hamilton's wedding (in the musical, IRL Hamilton's wedding was pretty sad honestly), and that since Philip Schuyler was one of Washington's generals he would've known Washington pretty well, and that Eliza admired Martha Washington very much and became friends with her, and also that Eliza wrote to Washington telling him about her pregnancy/probably begging him to come home. So, based on these facts, they knew each other. I want to know: how? How did they meet? How close were they? Was it just a one-off meeting, or did Washington and Eliza exchange letters a few times, at least? (She and Martha did, at least.) Did Eliza stay in camp for some time like many other women did, and if so, did she meet the general regularly?

This is one relationship where there's very, very little I know about their interactions and how they perceived each other, so basically: do whatever you want. I'd love to see, in particular, if Eliza is at camp, at a dinner-party or similar with the General or observing him at work. Or did Washington know Eliza because of her father, and did he think of that when it came to her engagement to Hamilton (and did he talk with Hamilton even a little about it)? Or, Eliza's letter to Washington asking him to send Hamilton home—was that the letter of a daughter of an old friend, or a letter of a near-stranger? Either way, that must've taken guts and sneakiness, so I'd love to see anything about that. Or, in Act II, Eliza hosting a dinner-party for the Washingtons, maybe? Or having a conversation with Washington while he's out riding, or when she goes to the President's house to meet her husband, who's working there?

For art, long-distance communication—one of them reading the other's letters? Or, again, anything about them talking together, somehwere. Or, Washington being all gentlemanly and dancing (in a fatherly platonic way) with Eliza at the ball where she met Hamilton or at any other ball?

Eliza Schuyler & Martha Washington

Of all the impossibly rare, difficult things I've asked for, this is probably one of the rarest and most difficult to do. But, consider: Martha Washington and Eliza Hamilton apparently struck up a friendship with each other. Eliza was said to have admired Martha's poise very much, and Martha to have welcomed Eliza into her circle (if I recall correctly) when she was new to being a Senator's wife, when Washington first became President.

So: I'd love to see what these women got up to while their husbands were off playing politics. Neither of them would've been free of politics themselves, I imagine—Martha in particular would have a lot of duties as a hostess which would be very political, and in a cut song Eliza was instrumental in getting her husband to calm the fuck down and not murder Burr, and reading Chernow, she was definitely very much politically involved, both through her husband and in her own right—so if you want to play with that, with the king(Senator?)making that these women participated in, any political arenas they entered (willingly? Reluctantly? A mixture of both?), that would be amazing.

Or did the Hamiltons ever visit the Washingtons at Mount Vernon after Washington retired? Did Martha and Eliza correspond after Washington's retirement? Or, after Washington's death, Eliza writing to and attempting to comfort Martha? Or Martha, who knows what the loss of her children feel like, trying to help Eliza through Philip's death?

Honestly, just anything with Martha and Eliza spending time together—this is one of the 'I would basically love anything for this thing that I love' prompts, because anything goes.

George III of the United Kingdom/George Washington

I love all of George (the King)'s dirtybadwrong twisted love songs, and two of them are very directly placed in opposition to Washington's major songs (I Know Him is basically an ode to Washington! And also I feel kind of sorry for King George after 'I wasn't aware that was something a person(???) could do'), and the other is about a battle which Washington won. So: Wave loves dubcon abusive relationship: the George/George edition.

Size kink! (I mean, come on. 'Oceans rise, empires fall, next to Washington they all look small'? And John Adams being called the 'little guy' in comparison to Washington?) I can very much see George as a power bottom, because he's totally in love with Washington's stature and magnificence, both literal and metaphorical. (Washington, of course, is reluctant, but for some reason doesn't have a choice. Whatever reason.) Also, maybe George getting off on being the subbiest of subs for Washington, but only by his very specific direction? Or non-sexual visual size differences, whether art or fic, are very, very great, especially if in contrast with power differences!

Washington never visited England in his life time, as far as I'm aware, but what if he did? (Or what if he actually did and I just didn't know?) He's long had an inferiority complex about the power the English have over the colonies, judging by the biography I'm reading right now, and also an annoyance at the limitations placed on the colonials by their English overlords, so maybe something about that and how that relates to meeting the king? Or maybe he goes to England to petition the king on behalf of the colonies, and has to submit himself to the king for that? Or, alternately, an AU where England wins the war, and he's brought there in chains to be judged by the king? (Perhaps he's supposed to be executed, but George has 'mercy' on him and decides to keep him as a pet? (I know how that's not how it works. Shhhh.))

Washington kneeling to the King (albeit reluctantly/because he's literally forced to in chains)! Visual contrasts between the two! George's 'tender' caresses that Washington loathes, it's very clear he loathes it, but he has to stand it (noncon groping/kissing is my jam).

I confess I don't have many ideas for non-noncon./dubcon for this pairing, but I'd love it if you do have ideas for less dark things (and crack! I'd love crack!) you want to put into play.

George Washington/Gilbert du Motier Marquis de Lafayette

This is another ship based on the thirty seconds in Guns and Ships between Lafayette and Washington, and also based on the fact that Lafayette and Washington were by all amounts crazy close (I mean, Georges Washington Lafayette? And also Washington almost fucking the entire war up by entrusting Lafayette with a command that was diplomatically iffy? Yeah, sign me the fuck up). The way Lafayette is ridiculously informal with Washington (his salute is so so sloppy), the way he's all up in Washington's personal space and they stand reaaaally close together, the way Lafayette basically respectfully orders Washington to get Hamilton back (the way Daveed say 'but' on the OCR, I wish I could convey how many feels that word sends through me)—all of them point to the fact that I now ship the two of them very, very much.

So, yeah. Anything set during the Revolutionary War would be great. I'd love to see the rapport and trust between them (maybe even through and outsider's eyes?). Do they work very well with each other? Does Washington become afraid of what he's sending Lafayette off to do sometimes, that maybe he's sending him to his death (but sends him off anyway, because his country's need > any one person, no matter how much Washington cares about that person)? Do they clash over policies sometimes, get frustrated with each other? (Clashes due to cultural differences, maybe?) Or, in Act II, does Lafayette get frustrated and feel betrayed by Washington's decision not to intervene in France? What goes through his mind when he sends Georges off to Washington? Anything else political?

Also, Lafayette basically seeing Washington as a father-figure? Play with that if you want to, and go as dirtybadwrong as you want to. Washington being conflicted about his feelings towards Lafayette, and angst. Power dynamics (Washington's Lafayette commanding officer, after all), and everything else. (Does Washington ever have to punish Lafayette for a transgression, or calm him down if he's too jittery/excited?)

Maybe Washington greeting Lafayette when he comes back to camp, or sending him off? Or maybe a private moment between the two of them—in Washington's study, in his workroom, in the forest where no-one can see—where they let down their guards, kissing or just leaning against each other, or massages? Or maybe a quiet moment between the two of them, but in the midst of battle/otherwise surrounded by others? Or Lafayette foiling a plot on Washington's life? Being almost discovered by someone, or actually discovered, and if the latter, does that change anything? Or if you want to go very angsty, Lafayette visiting Washington's grave when he comes back to America years and years and years later?

Marvel Cinematic Universe

  • Moss covered unicorns! All the moss covered unicorns! A whole herd of them, even.
  • I'd prefer not to see Darcy Lewis at all except if there's Darcy/Jane, and I'd prefer that Coulson, Loki, Tony, Peter Parker, and Vision aren't main characters, please. Please no BuckyNat, as well.
  • There's such a vast world to play in in the MCU, and so much of the characters' lives we don't know about because of the way time works in the movies! There's a lot of room for exploration and worldbuilding. My favourite MCU movies are the Cap movies, and I'd love to see what happens between them (and the. Avengers movies)! Between Avengers & TWS, between TWS & AoU, between AoU & CW—I'm really curious as to what happens in the in-between years where obviously important stuff has happened.
  • I'm very interested in politics for this fandom, because so much of the storyline is influenced by in-world politics which we don't get to see. For example, HYDRA's ideology, the politics behind the US supersoldier program, Project Insight being authorized, the Accords—there's so much to explore.
  • CW brought up some interesting questions about the fact that the majority of the problems the Avengers deal with are things they've caused, albeit sometimes necessarily, so maybe something about that.
  • For this fandom especially I'd love to see outsider POVs, whether that be people who are working closely with the characters or people who only see the characters on TV.
  • I love the sheer scale of the events of the movies, so maybe something about that?
  • There's a common thread of the end not justifying the means across the Cap movies, so something about that, maybe?
  • With so many supervillains floating around, there's plenty of room for lots of H/C (or H without C) with characters being captured and tortured and injured.
  • I love fun and asskicking and just superheroes being superheroes too.
  • I adore the fact that the characters have very individual senses of humour!
  • Other things I'm not fond of include AoS in general, the way AoS handled SHIELD in particular, all the Avengers living at the Avengers tower (especially post-Avengers but pre-TWS; I don't really mind pre-AoU since there's some element of canon to it).

Alexander Pierce & Nick Fury
I love that Alexander Pierce is kind of a HYDRA mirror of Nick Fury, and I love the bit about how it was Fury who inspired him to do what he does. The fact that Project Insight was initially Fury's brainchild and that Fury didn't really see what was wrong with it until it came into the hands of HYDRA is very intriguing, and, in terms of ideology, there are huge similarities between them, despite Pierce's general HYDRA-ness.
I'd love to see younger!Fury and Pierce interacting, and maybe Pierce becoming part of HYDRA, or them working together in any situations. Everything about the two of them interests me, really.

Alexander Pierce & Steve Rogers
I find the one scene they had together so very interesting. Pierce is trying to manipulate Steve, but it isn't working, and Steve does appear to realize that there's something fishy going on, if only because of Fury's 'trust no-one'.
Does Pierce follow Steve's work at S.H.I.E.L.D. with interest, because Captain America who destroyed HYDRA? Or maybe an AU where Pierce doesn't die and is captured instead, or any other reason for them to meet again? I'd just love explorations of their different ideologies.

Jane Foster/Sif

  • AU where Jane meets Thor instead of Sif, somehow
  • Sif comforts Jane after Thor and Jane break up
  • Sif teaches Jane how to fight
  • Jane and Sif working as a team against a supernatural threat
  • Sif whisks Jane away on a romantic tour of the Nine Realms

Natasha Romanov/Peggy Carter

  • Peggy supervises Natasha's defection to SHIELD.
  • Natasha defects because of Peggy
  • Cold War era rivalry with spy shenanigans
  • Natasha visits Peggy in her nursing home
  • Peggy watches Natasha from afar and thinks of how similar she is to Dottie

Nick Fury & Natasha Romanov
I adored their dynamic in TWS. Natasha clearly cares for Fury very much, and her betrayal when she found out he was alive was very palpable. She would probably have very mixed feelings about him post-TWS, so something about that, or something where they work together post-AoU, maybe? Or maybe pre-TWS or even pre-Avengers, I'd love to see them as mentor & mentee, or maybe something about how Natasha was recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D. Or maybe even Natasha going to Fury post-CW?

Natasha Romanov/Sharon Carter

So, basically all my MCU pairings are 'I love these characters and I think the actresses are gorgeous and they'd work well together', and Natasha/Sharon isn't an exception. (And Nat and Sharon are just great characters, and I wish we'd seen more of Sharon especially, and Nat too in CA:CW.)

They both work for super-secret government agencies (the same super-secret government agency, even, at one point!) but they have very different pasts and very different skillsets and I'd love to see anything to do with that. Sharon being the Director and founder of SHIELD's granddaughter vs. Natasha being a Russian assassin and a lot more of an outsider is a very interesting contrast, in my opinion.

I also think that they probably have very different worldviews, given how they were brought into SHIELD and their roles at SHIELD, and I'd love to see anything about that. Or, post-TWS, they probably both have mixed feelings about the fall of SHIELD (that thing in AoU didn't happen shut up), but different kinds of mixed feelings, and I'd love to see more about that. Or, during Civil War, the two of them are probably the most sane people around, except maybe T'Chaka, (but, again, they do what they do for completely different reasons), and by the end of CW, Nat is on the run while Sharon isn't. (Though I can't see that lasting for long if Sharon's role in the whole fiasco is discovered.)

So maybe post-TWS or post-AoU, the two of them on some mission together? Or maybe they stumble upon each other by accident in some mundane place? Or maybe pre-TWS, they're on a SHIELD mission together, or maybe Sharon's the one who brings Nat into SHIELD (and she's on Steve-duty because Nat asked her to)? Or post-CW, them on the run together, possibly Nat rescuing Sharon after she's been discovered and arrested? Or Sharon still holding her position and helping Nat & co secretly?

Natasha Romanov/Wanda Maximoff

My reasons for shipping them are basically, again, that I love the characters, think the actresses are beautiful, and think that they'd work well together.

I'm kind of disappointed that we didn't get to see Natasha and Wanda interact much, as the only two female Avengers at that point. Wanda in particular has significant relationships with both Steve and Clint, who relate to her in one way or another and they've had experiences similar to hers in one way or another. So the lack of interaction with Natasha is kind of disappointing, since I think Natasha would understand Wanda's determination to make up for her past very much, and also understand how she came to work with Ultron.

But, at the same time, post-CW I think Wanda would be wary of Natasha, because Natasha was Team Iron Man for some time, and I think Wanda would see them as a huge part of the reason that she was in the Raft, where she was basically tortured (I mean, Team IM didn't have any part in the Raft in canon, not even Tony really, but Wanda doesn't do that).

And I love both Nat and Wanda as Avengers, so I'd love to see how they and their relationship fit with the rest of the group, either post-AoU or post-CW.

So, maybe the two of them on the run together post-CW, maybe along with the rest of the Avengers? Maybe Nat helps Steve break into the Raft? Or maybe an AU where Natasha is the one who breaks Wanda out of house arrest? Or maybe the two of them on an Avengers mission pre-CW? I'd just love to see the two of them together, art or fic, in any way or form.

Nick Fury & Steve Rogers
I adore the two of them clashing in TWS because of their different ideologies informed by their different life experience, but they obviously also work together effectively enough because Fury appears to be Steve's direct CO. (And, well, I love Fury completely misjudging Steve constantly in the scene where Steve first saw the helicarries.) Or post-AoU, especially after Steve's 'this is what S.H.I.E.L.D. is supposed to be' line, I'd love to see them working together. Or maybe Fury's reaction to the events of CW.

Peggy Carter/Sharon Carter
I loved Sharon in CW and TWS both (although I'm disappointed she didn't have a bigger role), and I'd love to see what her relationship with Peggy is like. Sharon's statements at Peggy's funeral about her surname—what was it like living in Peggy's shadow, even just within Peggy's family? Maybe Peggy with teenage!Sharon, playing with Sharon on a rare day off? Or maybe Peggy mentoring Sharon, or Sharon discussing a workday with Peggy? Or maybe that phonecall with Peggy we see in TWS?

Sam Wilson & Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson/Steve Rogers
I love everything about these two, from their first meeting in TWS (the two of them bonding, their similar experiences (shared life experiences), the very unsubtle flirting and checking out going on on both sides) to Steve breaking Sam out of the Raft in CW (that smile on Sam's face, like he knew it was only a matter of time before Steve came). I love their banter, and I love that Sam is so done with everyone's bullshit, especially in CW, and I love that even though Sam has got Steve's back, he's got his own reasons and isn't just blindly following Cap and I love the 'I do what he does, but slower' thing. So, well, basically anything, but if you want more specific, maybe Steve breaking Sam out of the Raft post-CW, or Steve and Sam post-AoU but pre-CW? Or maybe the two of them on date, somewhere, and more flirting and checking each other out?

Steve Rogers & Allied soldiers, Steve Rogers & Howling Commandos
These are all requests for WWII-era Steve—he's very much a soldier by Avengers, and I'd like to see him with his fellow soldiers in his own time. I'd love to see operations and missions, and how they were handled.
How did the Howling Commandos function as a unit? How well did Steve and Colonel Phillips work together, given Steve's propensity for obeying orders right up until he doesn't, and the fact that they got off on the wrong foot? How do the Allied soldiers they come across while on missions react to Steve and the Commandos? How do the higher-ups at Allied command deal with a supersoldier?
While Steve was mostly another soldier (albeit a tactical genius who has super-strength) at that point, his legend was already being created, so how does that affect his interactions with the other soldiers? Do they look up to him because they've heard of what he's done in the field? Do they laugh at him in the early days when they still think he's a dancing monkey?

Steve Rogers & Maria Hill
I adore their interactions, as few and far apart as they are—their interactions in AoU in particular are pure gold. I'd love to see the two of them spending more time together, and, while I wouldn't say they clash exactly, they aren't best buddies either, so something about that, maybe? There are many, many points at which they could have interacted, pre-TWS, post-TWS, post-AoU, etc., so I'd love to see them interacting in any way or form.

Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov
It is absolutely ridiculous how much I love these two, and how much I love gen about these two. I'd love to see them at any point in time. Pre-TWS, Steve and Natasha do have some sort of rapport going, but it becomes clear that Steve didn't trust her fully at that point; maybe something about that? Or maybe the two of them post-TWS (because I'm really curious as to what happened between TWS and AoU)? Or Natasha and Steve with the Avengers post-AoU? Or the two of them on the run post-CW?
I just love their banter and how well, in CW, they know each other, and how very well they work together, and their similarities and differences, and most of all, I just love that they get each other.

Steve Rogers/Hydra Agents

  • Noncon. All the noncon.
  • Steve is stoic and fights the agents to his last breath.
  • Waterboarding, knifeplay (blood is fine), violent beating, humiliation, creative use of tasers, heavy-duty bondage, gangbangs, sex pollen.
  • Alternately, Steve brings some agents onto the good side with the power of his dick.
  • Steve banged some Hydra agents before he knew they were Hydra.

Wanda Maximoff & Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov (MCU)

  • On the run together post-CW.
  • Avengers missions.
  • Nat and Wanda ganging up on Steve.
  • Fighting together and having each others' backs.

Wanda Maximoff & Steve Rogers, Wanda Maximoff/Steve Rogers

  • Shared life experiences.
  • Steve mentors Wanda when she first joins the Avengers.
  • Steve breaking Wanda out of the Raft/going on the run together.
  • They explore how Wanda's powers work.

Female Raft Guard/Wanda Maximoff

  • Noncon!
  • Straitjacket porn, 'treatments' for Wanda's powers, powerplay, humiliation.
  • Alternately, a guard sneakily begins to help Wanda out.
  • Or Stockholm Syndrome.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

  • Okay, so this is a weird request, but please no everyone lives/some people live AUs unless I specifically ask for them? The point of Rogue One, for me, is that everyone dies (and, personally, I don't think there's anything left for any of them if they do live), so I'd prefer not to see this. No unrequested AUs from the movie at all, please? (I don't mind picking and choosing details from the book at all, though! That's what I love to do. And if I ask for AUs then they're more than fine.)
  • The main thing I love about Rogue One is the nitty-gritty behind-the-scene details, and the toll the Rebellion takes on all its members.
  • I'd adore backstory and generally terrible things they've done (because I don't think any of them haven't done one or two awful things).
  • Quick Cassian note: I love that he's a tortured idealist who's done awful things (seriously, Cassian/self-loathing is my OTP, and Cassian selling his integrity for the Rebellion is something I'd love to see, as is calculating!Cassian), so please don't make him a person who hasn't done bad things? Also for Jyn, although she's actually more Han Solo type, and I love that! (I would seriously love to see Jyn having been a smuggler at some point.)
  • I'd love more on the workings of the Rebellion, and all the petty annoyances, and also, for characters who are part of the Rebellion, Rebellion missions.
  • I'd love to see traumatized, exhausted characters stretched to their limits, and exhausted, harried leaders stretched to their limits.
  • Smutty things: lots and lots of loyalty kink, please, and superior officers/people under them, and kneeling and D/s. The command hierarchies of both the Empire and the Rebellion are just made for this!
  • The Empire—I'd love to see more about what sort of things they do.
  • The Force, and the Jedi, and explorations of that, and what legends about the Jedi and stories about them remain in the Empire.
  • This is a general Star Wars thing, but I love the various planets, and I'd love whatever new planets you come up with! Also cultures of various planets and culture clashes?
  • There's a lot of moral grey area in Rogue One and I love that, so something about that? Especially how extremists are presented very neutrally and how the supposed 'good guys' do bad things, and, again, that's presented neutrally.
  • For art: I love how worn and ragged everyone and their costumes look! And also, hair game. Star Wars hair game is strong.

Bail Organa/Cassian Andor

Okay, so Cassian seems to be pretty high up in the Rebellion hierarchy—I'm sure he interacts with Bail a lot. Maybe he's being sent off on one of the missions where he does terrible things, or maybe a mission report afterwards and he's pretty banged up? Or Bail has to send Cassian into a situation where there's a high chance that he'll be captured and tortured? (And then, of course, Cassian is captured and tortured, and all the hurt/comfort.) Or I'd love to see strategy meetings, behind-the-scene workings of the Rebellion. Or maybe Cassian and Bail working to remain professional despite their relationship? Or do they bring the Rebellion command hierarchy to bed with them?

Or Cassian being in the Rebellion since he was six—does that have anything to do with Bail? Is Bail a mentor to Cassian and does their relationship change into something else as Cassian grows up? Or does Cassian meet Bail as an adult and they become fuckbuddies/fall for each other/etc. at that point?

Also, Cassian's hair is really, really soft, and I would adore seeing Bail playing with it/stroking it.

Bail Organa & Mon Mothma & Senator Pamlo

Again, behind-the-scenes workings of the Rebellion! I'd love to see High Command meetings, or the Senators engaging in political manoeuvring, or motivating Rebellion troops, or organizing missions, or risk assessment meeting held privately, or infighting.

I'd also love to see them with their public masks off, and what the chances of the Rebellion were really like, and reminiscing and trying not reminisce and all the painful things, and maybe even some conversations about Leia.

And is there tension between Senator Pamlo and the other two, because of their differing ideologies? How do they present a united front in the Senate while also not pissing off Palaptine too much, or getting him suspicious? What sort of resources are available, and how do they use them?

And while Bail and Mon Mothma were part of the original 'core' of Senators who plotted against Palpatine, Pamlo wasn't. Was she/her home planet a signer of the Delegation, or did she get into the Rebellion later? Did Bail and/or Mon Mothma have a part in convincing her?

Cassian Andor/Dravits Draven

All the hierarchies and power dynamics here, please! I love the obedience Cassian gives to the Rebellion and, by extension, to Draven, his CO, and I love all the horrible things he must have done carrying out orders for the Rebellion. Draven must have been the one giving him those orders, so anything on that.

Does Draven attempt to get Cassian to deal with his guilt/PTSD (subtly or not-so-subtly), and fail? Does he have his own issues that he's not dealing with? Does he genuinely care about Cassian despite the sometimes unsavoury things he has to get Cassian to do? (What does he think when he's deliberately sending Cassian off to kill someone or to be captured and tortured?)

Or is he manipulating Cassian for his own purposes? Does he take advantage of his position fo authority over Cassian? Or maybe he doesn't think he's taking advantage but Cassian feels obliged so it's fucked up?

For art, power dynamics! Draven training Cassian or helping him to brush up on his skills, Cassian looking bruised and battered while giving a mission report, Cassian kneeling/saluting to Draven, Draven tracing one of Cassian's scar, Draven having to punish Cassian.

Cassian Andor & his parents

So, the book says that Cassian was originally with the Seperatists, but I'm blithely ignoring that (and also, Fest ew ew), although I wouldn't mind seeing how the transition would work, and how Cassian came to be the tortured idealist (not just repeating mantras but genuinely believeing them) he is, but. If you ignore the book. He was in this fight since he was six years old.

That means it was twenty years ago, if he's twenty-six, and that was the exact point at which Padmé and Bail and Mon were plotting the beginnings of the Rebellion, so: how did he get into this fight? Why are his parents okay with this? Were they part of the original Delegation of Two Thousand, and maybe one of the people most deep in it? Was one of them a Senator's aide? Were they dead by the time he was six? If so, how? Basically, what the fuck were his parents thinking allowing a six-year-old to become a child soldier?

Or present (or just-before-R1) Cassian reminiscing about his parents, maybe? Or his line about not having the luxury to choose—does that relate to his parents, somehow? Basically, I want Cassian with all the angst-y back story, please!

For art, happy times with his parents as a kid? Or watching them die or being separated from them?

Cassian Andor & Leia Organa

(Brought to you by my extreme desire to torture both Leia and Cassian, because yessssss.) What gets me about both Leia and Cassian is that they're idealists and optimists but also—grim about it.

Optimism and idealism aren't personality traits for them, they're life choices, and they're idealists in the sense of believing in their cause to the exclusion of everything else, and giving everything and willing to do anything for that cause, but they're not naïve and hopeful in the way that Luke is. And that's definitely because of the things he did for the Rebellion in Cassian's case, and also probably in Leia's case? And Leia hasn't been completely destroyed in the way Cassian has, and I'd love to see something about that, maybe?

Both Cassian and Leia were part of the intelligence branch of the Rebellion and they were both pretty high up in said intelligence division, so I'd like to think that they'd have met as some point. Maybe Cassian was Leia's mentor? Or maybe he was a contact between the Senate and Yavin 4 at some point? Or even just accidental meeting on the Rebel base? (I'd love to see them facing each other across a meeting table, or covertly passing messages somehow, etc.)

Or maybe an AU where he survives Scarif, but he's the only one to do so, and after the Death Star him and Leia bond/comfort each other? (And also the fact that all those people died to get the Death Star plans, but it was still not enough?)

Cassian Andor & other Rebel spies, Cassian Andor & Rebel soldiers

I would love to see Cassian commanding Rebels, maybe sending someone under his command on a mission or supervising a mission? Or I'd love to see him working with someone. (And maybe bad things happening to said person?) I don't see Cassian being close enough to anyone to call them a friend, but maybe colleagues?

Also, I have a headcanon that he's a very, very good leader because he inspires loyalty and he gives his all to the Rebellion, and also because he's devoted to the Rebellion enough that he can take risks when necessary, so maybe something about what the people who work under him think of him (And this is super-super-optional, but I also think that some of the Rebels who came for the Scarif mission came because of loyalty to Cassian. And even if they didn't, it says something that he's the person they come to in that situation).

Anything about his loyalty and drive and his willingness to do whatever it takes (and also his general fucked-up-ness) from and outside PoV would be great. Maybe him leading a mission that involves collaborating with other Rebels, or running into another Rebel spy while he's on a mission?

Cassian Andor/Original Male Character(s)

Okay, so this thread on FFA is basically everything I want for this. Basically, Cassian not being able to let people in and having lots of angsty meaningless sex + self-loathing with Rebels, and also using sex as an intelligence-gathering tool (I adore all the scenarios described in this comment in aforementioned thread). Meaningless angsty sex? Honeypot missions? Sex as just another thing he's given for the Rebellion? Cassian/self-loathing? Sign me the fuck up! Dubcon for the greater good?

Or maybe Cassian being captured by the Empire and tortured and raped by (a) Stormtrooper(s) and staying heroically stoic through it all, even when he's gaping and leaking the Stromtroopers' come, and covered in bruises and lacerations?

Or Cassian + a Rebellion pilot being fuckbuddies? And Cassian deliberately choosing not to get emotionally involved?

Mon Mothma/Senator Pamlo

I'm fascinated by Tynnra Pamlo—despite the existence of the Delegation of Two Thousand, I always thought that Bail and Mon were the only senators who were actively part of the Rebellion, but apparently not.

So, Rebellion love affairs and High Command politics! Senator Pamlo is presumably still a Senator, unlike Mon—how did they make it work? Did they meet through the Rebellion (or the Delegation), or did they know each other before hand? What happened to Senator Pamlo once the Senate was dissolved? I have so many questions that don't have answers, and I'm curious.

Mon and Tynnra appear to have conflicting ideas of the hows of the Rebellion, despite sharing an ideology—how do they make it work despite that? Are there conflicts, within their bedroom and in High Command? The way they live, do they even properly have a bedroom?

And behind-the-scenes workings of the Rebellion! I'd love to see High Command meetings, or the Senators engaging in political manoeuvring, or motivating Rebellion troops, or organizing missions, or risk assessment meeting held privately, or infighting.

Smith of Wootton Major – J. R. R. Tolkien

  • I love the dangers and pitfalls of Faery, and all its immense beauties, too—the Greater and the Lesser Evils, the King's Tree, the Wind.
  • And I love that Faery and all its mysteries are unknowable to mortals and ultimately all we can have is the occasional journeys of the star-bearer and the flower that never dies (but, of course, I want to know more anyway).
  • I love the fey tone of the story, and I love all the wild and dangerous things that aren't wild and dangerous in their nature, but are to mortals, if that makes sense.
  • I love all the things that remain just out of sight, and the things that are different from what they're assumed to be, and generally I just love the tone of this story very, very much.
  • For art, I'd love to see a glimpse of a single place/moment in Faery, or a larger picture shrouded in mystery (fog/mist/blurring?), rather than a clear big picture.
  • Similarly, for fic, I love the mysteries and dangers of the story. I'd love an explanation for some of them, though, and worldbuilding for Faery as long as there's still a sense of danger lurking beyond the pages.

Nell/The Queen of Faerie, The Queen of Faerie/Nell/Queen's Handmaiden, The Queen of Faerie/Queen's Handmaiden

Are the handmaidens inhabitants of Faery, or do they come from another far-away land to the aid of the Queen? Are they there of their own will or not? (Does the Queen trap them there with enchantments, or are they paying for some long-ago crime?)

What kind of skills are needed to be an elven handmaiden, or is it something that's there from birth? Are the elves of Faery born, or do they just...exist, and come into being? How does the Queen pick her handmaidens?

The Queen is a very fascinating character, too, and she's so very enigmatic and interesting, and I'd love to see anything about her, too. Does the Queen remain Queen forever, from the beginning of Faery to the end? Or are she and the King, like the bearer of the star, roles passed down from one person to another (though of course on a lager scale of time than with the star)?

And speaking of the star—did the Queen play any role in its origin? Did she forge it? Imbude it with its power? (Or was it completely unrelated to her, and did the first bearer take her by surprise?) Does Nell learn the story of the star? Do the handmaidens know it? Are they a part of the story?

And what if Nell received the star instead of Smith? Would that change a lot, or would that change nothing? Both UST/haunting feelings Nell doesn't act upon or reciprocated feelings would be great. The Queen (and her handmaidens) tending to Nell, or Nell kneeling to the Queen?

How does Nell react to Faery, and does she react to it differently than Smith does? Does she explore different places? Is she let in further (by the grace of the Queen), or not at all?

Or is the Queen more fay than we seen in the story? Maybe she doesn't intend to, doesn't realize her power and its effects (or maybe she totally intends to), and the handmaidens/Nell become trapped under her power? Maybe they'd want to stay if they could, but they don't have a choice so their wants are a moot point? (Noncon/dubcon service kink, maybe?)

The Lord of the Rings (book)

  • There aren't enough fics and art based on the Myths Transformed version of Middle-earth, and if that's something you'd like to explore, I'd love that, especially a more scientifically accurate (and sometimes, to my mind, a more tragic-and-dark-but-beautiful) vision of Middle-earth. (Other versions would also be wonderful, of course! This is just a specific thing I don't see much of.)
  • I love the fact that Tolkien's canon is a patchwork of different stories and mythologies, both in the Doylist and Watsonian sense, and fic exploring that would be wonderful.
  • Linked with the points above, I'm interested in lived vs. written stories, and Those Pesky Historians, and how unseen forces affect history.
  • Nature that comes alive.
  • The mortals and Elves/free will and destiny debate and the role of the Valar would be a wonderful thing to read about—I'd love exploration of any of the philosophical questions of Tolkien's world, really, but especially this, as detailed in the Athrabeth and writings about the role of the Valar.
  • All things Darkness and Light, really—I'm very fascinated by how these polar opposites work in Tolkien's world (and you can go back right to the beginning, to the Music, if you like), and how Arda is both grim and uplifting at the same time.
  • I love the way magic and power operate in Tolkien's world—the work he's done to make it believable is wonderful. Writing a green sun, indeed! Anything you can write about this would be welcome and much-adored.
  • I especially love the Ñoldor and Númenor, although every Age of Middle-earth holds my heart.
  • For interspecies relationships, I'd love to see an emphasis on otherness and trying to understand each other.

Arwen/Éowyn/Lothíriel

First, a request: I would very much prefer there wasn't infidelity—open relationships would me much more preferable. Also, any subcombination of this would also be very welcome.

Politics! Politics galore, please, and also queens finding themselves away from home and taking comfort from their peers, and having adventures, and ruling while their husbands are away. For the 'ships, I don't mind either open relationships or infidelity. I'd also like a bit more about the Rohirrim. For Éowyn/Lothíriel especially, but all of these relationships and friendships, I love horses, so if you could include equestrian detail in the fic that'd also be lovely.

I would love to see Arwen and/or Lothíriel visiting Rohan with Éowyn. Perhaps the three of them are on individual errands and meet, or maybe they plan a trip? Or Éowyn (and Lothíriel?) in Gondor for the 'ships involving Arwen, maybe? Or Éowyn (and Arwen) in Dol Amroth? I just love how vividly different these places are from each other and would love something about that, or about them meeting unexpectedly (or planning their rendezvous).

And speaking of trips, I'd also love Éowyn and Arwen and/or Lothíriel having any kind of adventure together. Perhaps them riding out to war? Or maybe going on a diplomatic trip?
And explorations of their heritage! Arwen was brought up in Rivendell among Elves, Lothíriel is from Dol Amorth, and Éowyn is from Rohan.

Arwen/Gilraen

Oooh, I love this for its awkward connotations. A gentle fic, if portraying their relationship, but I'd also love a look at the awkwardness that would result—“Aragorn, I've already met your Mother. In fact, I've gone down on her too many times to count”. A relationship not based on love, but mutual loss and comfort, staving away loneliness, would also be something I'd love explored (although I'd love to see them madly in love with each other, too). I'd also love bonding, and discussions/portrayals of mortality and immortality.

What does Arwen's mother-in-law think about her? Surely they must have spent time together in Rivendell, possibly in the years before Arwen was betrothed, but after Aragorn had gone away. Did Aragorn's youthful crush result in mutual embarrassment? Or did they laugh over it? And I'd love advice, given and received, and also Elven vs. human perceptions of passing time.

Arwen/Gilraen in the window of time between Aragorn going away and their betrothal would be lovely. Or maybe Arwen comforting Gilraen after Arathorn's death? Or an AU where Arwen doesn't become betrothed to Aragorn (and what that would change, maybe)?

Or maybe something to do with Arwen's Half-Elven heritage, or maybe her name, something about the Evenstar? Or Gilraen combing Arwen's hair, or the two of them out riding together?

Daughter of Arwen/Daughter of Arwen

Incest kink! Smutty fic/art is more than welcome for this pairing. I'd love to see the shenanigans the daughters of Arwen get up to—what sort of adventures do they have together? How do they navigate court politics and their relationship with each other at the same time? Does anyone know about them? Do people suspect but not-quite-know?

Arwen's daughters are not even names in the Appendices, so I'd love to see more about their lives. What do they love to do? What are their relationships with their other sibling(s, if Arwen has more than two daughters) and their parents like? What do they love doing, and what are they good at doing, and do those two things not necessarily overlap? Are they warriors, diplomats, scholars, or none of the above?

For art, especially I'd love it if you focused on the similarities and differences in their appearances. Maybe the two of them sparring, or dancing? (Or anything mirroring each other, really! Or maybe actual mirrors are involved?)

Éomer & Éowyn

Siblings with complicated relationships with each other ♥. They love each other very much, but Éomer is very oblivious to Éowyn's desires and needs sometimes, so I imagine there's some reacquainting themselves with each other to be done post-RotK. Anything about that, maybe?

Or Éomer's and Éowyn's childhood, perhaps, the two of them playing together and/or riding together, or competing for their parents attentions, or doing something with their parengs? Or maybe something a bit darker, when they're older? The two of them grieving their parents together, or the time after they've been taken into Théoden's household, while they're still very young?

Or maybe when things start getting bad, maybe after Wormtongue gains Théoden's confidence? Éowyn's bitterness at being trapped and unable to fight like her brother, and Éomer being oblivious to that: something about maybe? Éowyn looking longingly as Éomer rides out/comes back? After Éomer being arrested, something about that?

Or maybe Éomer visiting Éowyn in the Houses of Healing? Or the two of them visiting each other after Éowyn moves to Ithilien and they both get married, getting to know each other as adults?

Éowyn & Morwen of Lossarnach

Morwen is seventeen years younger than Thengel, so I'd like to think that she would have been alive some time into Aragorn's reign—did Éowyn meet her after the war? Éowyn is said to have a 'grace and pride' that came from her grandmother, so something about their similarities, maybe?

Or maybe Morwen writing to Éowyn after her parents' deaths and being taken into Théoden's house, or even before that? Does she send letters to her granddaughter that go unanswered for some reason, or do she and Éowyn build a rapport that Éowyn leans on as a source of strength and comfort as she grows up and the world gets darker, and Rohan and Meduseld become less welcoming?

Or maybe Éowyn learning about her grandmother's culture and ways, or realising how much she's like her grandmother? Or Morwen seeing herself in Éowyn, and having mixed feelings about that? Or Morwen giving Éowyn advice just before or after Éowyn's marriage on how to adapt to a new land and people, and new customs?

Female Half-Orc/Woman of Gondor. Female Orc/Female Human Noble, Female Orc/Female Orc

I'm very curious about Orcs and their culture, and what happens between Orcs and between human and Orcs.

Orc culture in general seems to be very vicious and cat-eat-mouse, and very, very violent, and I'd love to see both Orcs who conform to that and Orcs who try (and fail?) to be different, or are different from birth and considered 'defective'. Or just anything else about Orcs and fighting a war under the banner of a Dark Lord. I'm especially interested in what seems to be various classes of Orcs, ones with superior strength and intelligence vs. ones with specific skills vs. cannon fodder.

For the female Orc(and half-Orc)/human pairings, is it noncon or dubcon or true love? Does the Orc stumble into the human woman's land, or is it the other way around? Is the woman the Orc's captive? Anything Stockholm Syndrome-y, perhaps (the Orc feeding the woman, the woman and the Orc alone in the room etc.)? Or maybe the woman convinces the Orc to set her free, or the Orc finds kindness in her heart and sets the woman free? Or the Orc noncons and/or tortures the human woman? (Forced facesitting, object insertion, fingering, slapping around would all be great if you want to go in the kinky smut direction.) If the human woman is a noblewoman, is she ransomed or rescued?

For the half-Orc specifically, what is it like being a half-Orc? Does she try to fit into the world of humans or the world of Orcs, or does she try both and fit into neither? Or is she an unquestioningly obedient soldier (and perhaps meeting a human woman beings the stirrings of rebellion—or cements her loyalty further)?

And for the Orc/Orc pairings, either redemption by love or the full viciousness of Orcs would be great. Anything about Sauron's war, maybe? Or are they Orcs of the North, much more loosely tied to Mordor and its master?

Finduilas of Dol Amroth/Uinen

Maybe Finduilas used to go down to the sea and talk to it when she lived in Dol Amroth? Or maybe, after she dies, the sea claims her? Anything from fitting in canon to wildly AU would be lovely for this.

I'd love something vaguely supernatural, please, if you can do that, and maybe something to do with swans? Or maybe Uinen rising up out of the water to embrace Finduilas, or Finduilas walking in to the water?

I love the sinister edges of Tolkien's world and how the magic of Middle-earth is very wild and untamed and incomprehensible, and I love that there's both the sinister kind of incomprehensible brought on by the Marring of Arda and the kind of incomprehensibleness that just is. And for the purposes of this exchange I would love what happens to Finduilas, her fading away, falling into either category. And I also love what happens to human beings when they try to approach/understand things beyond their comprehension, whether that's just disappearing, losing their memory, or awful, unnameable tortures, if you want to go the dark fic/art way.

Maybe Finduilas was fading away because parts of her were slowly being taken to the other world, possible due to an ancient Dúnedain artefact/her Silvan blood/both, and Uinen is either the perpetrator or her rescuer? Or maybe Finduilas wasting away in Gondor was because someone was fucking with her mind and keeping her on edge and jittery (and, again, Uinen could be her rescuer or tormentor)? Or maybe a Thomas the Rhymer-style thing where Uinen whisks Finduilas away only for her to return in the Fourth Age?

Fíriel of Gondor/Malbeth, Malbeth/Original Female Character(s)

I know that Malbeth's gender isn't stated in canon, but I usually prefer female Malbeth (and, as far as I know, Malbeth being a woman is much more likely in linguistic terms, and also because the women of the Dúnedain were more likely to be Seers (does that have anything to do with Melian?)), so that's what I'm going with here. If you have an idea for male Malbeth, though, I'll also love that! (And, in fact, I've specifically included a couple of prompts for a male Malbeth at the end of this section.)

Foresight and its mixed blessings! I imagine that Malbeth would have led a dark, if not completely unhappy life, being blessed/cursed as she was with foresight so deep into the future and the knowledge of the downfall of the Dúnedain and the rise of Sauron (and his eventual defeat, but that wouldn't have been much of a comfort against the horror). I found the bits about the mixed blessings and curses of foresight in the Appendices interesting, so more on that, maybe?

Or maybe, court politics and the role of seers in Dúnedain society? Is foresight revered, or feared, or ridiculed, or a mixture of all three? Malbeth's predictions were eerily specific, in a way a lot of the foresight in Tolkien's work isn't; more on that, maybe? Was that because the Ainur blood in Malbeth ran particularly strong/she was very attuned to the Music?

If Malbeth has a (female) lover, who was she? Was her lover a noble? Or was she an ordinary Dúnedan? Or was she not a Dúnedan at all—perhaps an Elf (who maybe understood Malbeth more than her fellow mortals, but there's also the divide between mortality and immortality)?

Whoever Malbeth's lover was, unless she was a fellow Seer which would be wonderful, for 'when shall we three meet again' shenanigans, there must have been some sort of conflict or tension between them because of Malbeth's (probably eerie) visions. Or was Malbeth not-quite-believed by anyone except her lover?

Or maybe something eerie to do with Malbeth's visions? Or maybe Malbeth encountering the Witch-King (perhaps in her visions), or seeing the rise of Sauron in the future? Or Malbeth's spirit refusing to leave Middle-earth?

In addition to the above prompts for Malbeth pairings, for Malbeth and Fíriel specifically: did Malbeth get to know Fíriel after she came to Arnor? (Was Malbeth perhaps part of Fíriel's household? Or did she have a position in court?) Maybe Malbeth welcoming Fíriel to Arnor? Or maybe something about Malbeth's foresight? Or maybe something about the later days of their lives?

Galadriel/Goldberry

Galadriel and Goldberry are two beings so different from each other and each very powerful in their own way—what would happen if they met? I'd love to see them speaking in riddles and confusing us mere mortals, but understanding each other perfectly well! Something slightly eerie, please, something about magic and the roots of Middle-earth. Sex magic, of whatever sort you like, would be an added bonus!

Do they meet in the First Age, somehow—maybe with Goldberry wandering into Doriath for [Reasons]? Or do they meet after Galadriel has crossed the Ered Luin? Or even later, when Galadriel is in Lórien?

Enchantment, again, but maybe enchantment working both ways? And maybe something about Galadriel and Nenya and the things she learnt from Melian versus Goldberry's more elemental power? Or maybe Goldberry being mistaken for a intruder in Lórien (or the other way around)?

Goldberry/Lady of the Blue Brooch

There are so many lovely fics for this pairing, but I still want more! For those of you who don't know, the Lady of the Blue Brooch was a woman, presumably a noble of Cardolan, and her brooch found its way into the tomb of the last prince of Cardolan. And, of course, Goldberry (and Tom) knew her.

From there, I'd love whatever your take on this would be! Was she fleeing from something when she met Goldberry? Wandered away from a travelling party and got lost? How did she die? In her life, who was she? A princess? A lady? A warrior? Someone else entirely?
And since she's probably a noble from Cardolan, maybe something about the last days of Cardolan, or something about the politics and the wars of Arnor?

I'd love to see Goldberry's meeting with her, maybe by the Withywindle, or did Goldberry wander into her somewhere in Arnor? Or maybe something about the two of them in Goldberry's house? Or something bittersweet or angsty about how she leaves? (And how did her brooch find its way to that barrow?)

Or something creepier, maybe, with her being a barrow-wight, or Goldberry trying to bring her back from death, or Goldberry casting an enchantment over her to make her stay?

Éowyn & Original Female Rohirrim, Helm's daughter & Hild, Helm's daughter/Original Female Character(s)

Anything about the culture and people of Rohan, please. For art especially, I love

Helm's daughter and Hild could have died when Edoras was taken, but I like to think that they survived for some time, at least, in Dunharrow (although I'm not clear on whether that would've been probable) or in Hornburg. It would have been grim, either way, and I'd love to see something about finding hope in the midst of darkness, something bittersweet and uplifting. Or maybe happier times, Hild spending time with her niece before the Dunlendings came. Or Helm's daughter finding a lover among her people—perhaps the two of them were drawn together out of desperation, and comfort each other in dark times.

Ivorwen & Gilraen
Ivorwen's role as a seer in Dúnedain society. Politics, foresight, and their roles in Dúnedain society would be lovely, and maybe something about women in Dúnedain society. I'd love to see Gilraen and Ivorwen interacting, maybe talking, maybe working together on something—anything goes, really, as long as it features these two.

Mithrellas/Nimrodel

Ah, the good old lady/handmaiden trope (and also loyalty?). I'd like to see Mithrellas' grief and longing for her lady, maybe, but also anger at Nimrodel for tossing her aside so easily when Amroth arrived. And maybe marrying Imrazôr is her way of saying 'fuck you' for that? And maybe she realizes that isn't enough? Or is there a gradual descent into madness?

Hurt feelings and anger, power dynamics—all things I want. Whether they find each other again is up to you, but if you're focusing on them finding each other, then a completely happy ending isn't my thing —bittersweet or angsty would be better, since Mithrellas is leaving her children behind. (But maybe Mithrellas wasn't completely happy in Dol Amroth that was not yet Dol Amroth either. and all the messiness please.)

Or I'd love to see them together pre-Amroth, playing in the stream or dancing beneath the trees or kissing on a talan or feeding each other berries. Or maybe the two of them near the end of the Third Age, or the beginning of the Fourth Age—do they stay in Middle-earth, or find their way to Valinor?

Shieldmaiden of Rohan/Shieldmaiden of Roham

I'm using 'shieldmaiden' very loosely, here, and 'Rohan' even more loosely, but. You can interpret LotR as saying that women of Rohan have fought alongside men on several occasions. There's kind of a reference to the people of Gondor seeing women of Rohan being warriors, or at least both men and women being called 'valiant', and the Appendices talk about fair and valiant' women alongside 'lords and warriors' in songs the Rohirrim had about the North and about their people before Eorl (this is where 'Rohan' being a very loose descriptor comes in). Also, HoME mentions that, in the time of Brego, women of Rohan did ride out. Also, the fact that Éowyn uses the word 'shieldmaiden' multiple times, as do other people, implies the existence in itself of women who must have been 'shieldmaiden' for the mere fact that the concept must exist for the word to exist.

So, tell me more about these shieldmaidens of Rohan. Did they only ride out in desperate times, or were there some women who took up being a warrior as a lifetime's pursuit? If they only rode out in desperate times, what were those desperate times like? What horrors necessitated women riding out? Or, if there were some women who were warriors their entire life, what was their lifestyle like? Were they lone warriors, or did they march with an army or a group of others? Did they take orders from the King of the Mark, or were they perhaps under the Queen's purview? Or were they outlaws who nevertheless wandered the borders of the Mark and protected its people?

It sounds like female warriors were most common before Eorl rode out from the North and in the early days of Rohan, and I'd love to know more about these time periods—whatever worldbuilding you choose to do would be very, very interesting to me. And, how exactly does one become one of these warriors? Is there formal training or an apprenticeship, or do you have to learn yourself? I imagine that it must have been a lot more difficult for women than for men—something on that, maybe?

What stories and songs were there about these shieldmaidens lovers? (If you've ever wanted to try your hand at alliterative verse, here's your chance—maybe a bit of an epic about a love story between two of the 'fair and valiant' women of old?)

For art, I love the descriptions of the Rohirrim and Rohan in Two Towers and RotK, and anything based on those would be lovely. Or maybe something incorporating 'where now are the horse and the rider'? I'd love to see the shieldmaidens riding out in full armour, or a shieldmaiden after a battle, bloodied and bruised. Or perhaps one of these warriors training, or in a fight? Or maybe two warriors sharing a tent and huddling up next to each other, maybe trading kisses?

Vidumavi/Original Female Character(s)

  • Vidumavi falls for a princess of a neighbouring kingdom or a woman of Gondor.
  • Or sistercest with (one of) her sisters, or noncon where she's captured by an enemy.
  • Explorations of Rhovanion culture.

The Silmarillion and other histories of Middle-Earth - J. R. R. Tolkien

Andreth/Galadriel

AU where Galadriel takes Aegnor's place, maybe? Or Galadriel visiting Andreth, with or without Finrod. I just want philosophical and political discussions, duty vs. love dilemmas, and maybe an unhappy ending (because I'm evil like that).

I love the philosophical debates of the Athrabeth, so maybe more on that? Maybe Galadriel and Andreth getting into debates with each other? (And maybe the debates turning heated occasionally and then moving to bed?)

Or maybe Galadriel dealing with the fact that Andreth was her dead brother's lover, and the complications of that? (And maybe Andreth also dealing with her grief for Aegnor through Galadriel?) Or maybe angst as Andreth grows older?

Or maybe an AU where Andreth meets Galadriel instead of Aegnor—what would change, what wouldn't?

For art, maybe that scene near Tarn Aeluin, with a star caught in Andreth's hair (only with Galadriel instead of Aegnor)? Or Galadriel and Andreth wandering in the woods together? Or the two of them lying on the grass, staring up at the stars?

Aredhel & Fingon
I would love to see Aredhel and Fingon with each other, perhaps training together or riding together or hunting together or camping or bantering with each other. The two of them in Valinor, perhaps, maybe dealing with the upheavals that must have come with Fëanor's exile? Leading their people on the Helcaraxë? Spending time together in Beleriand? Maybe communicating with each other in some way after Fingolfin's death?

Aredhel & Írimë
I'd love Aredhel and Írimë laughing and bantering together in Valinor! Or, if you're in the mood for something darker, them during the Kinslaying (with bloodstained clothes or swords if you're an artist?). Or maybe something in Middle-earth, Aredhel saying goodbye to her aunt before leaving for Gondolin?

Aredhel/Galadriel
Incest kink! Aredhel and Goldberry were the only second-generation Finwions who were female, and I'd love an exploration of that. Did they like each other or despise each other and have hatesex? Maybe they hunted together, and those hunting trips turned into more? Or the two of them on the Ice, finding comfort in each other? Or maybe Aredhel was aiming to go to Doriath, not to visit Celegorm? So many possibilities!
Or maybe Aredhel and Galadriel's mutual indifference to each other, and annoyance at being pushed together at family gatherings because they're girls, and of course they have a lot of things in common. This usually Ends Very Badly, possibly, or maybe just Aredhel and Galadriel being snarky at each other and the world in general, with bonus kissing and casual sex.
Or maybe huddling for warmth during the crossing of the Ice? (And just sex, or the two of them falling for each other there). And maybe something about leading their people across the Ice, and the two of them being leaders in general (or leaders and generals, that would very much work too!)?

Arien/Ungoliant

An origin story for Ungoliant, maybe? We know that both Sauron and Morgoth Fell from grace, as it were, and we know how, but what about Ungoliant? What happened? What was her beginning, and what made her Dark? Was it because of her love for Arien, or despite it? Where did she gain her hunger for Light?

Or, if they fall for each other despite being on different sides of the war (or, well, in Ungoliant's case, not having a side at all but aligning with Melkor because he's useful), elemental forces and secret rendezvous and love that doesn't ultimately change anything? Either way, I'd love something tragic. Or an AU where it ends well, that would also be lovely!

Ungoliant and Arien—the Sun and a giant spider, I'd be interested to see how that works visually. Or you could have them take human raiment—that's also something I'd love to see. Or maybe something about spiderwebs? Ungoliant trapping Arien in giant spiderwebs, maybe, and (noncon if you want to go in the noncon-y direction, or as roleplay) eating up all her Light?

Elemmírë/Írimë

  • The two of them saying goodbye to each other.
  • Their first meeting—maybe at a concert, or when Írimë visits her Vanyar relatives.
  • Elemmírë writing a song about Írimë.
  • Their reunion after Írimë is rehoused.
  • Angst where Elemmírë hears of Írimë's death or they imagine each other while they're apart.

Erendis/Almarian

  • Erendis takes comfort in her mother-in-law while Aldarion is gone.
  • Almarian decides that Aldarion doesn't deserve Erendis.
  • Erendis seduces Almarian to piss off Aldarion.
  • Almarian visits Erendis in Emerië.
  • Erendis is spanked by Almarian for [Reason].

Galadriel/Varda
Something mystical and magical and dangerous for these two, maybe? I'm interested in how this'd work—was it a passionate romance during the Years of the Trees, or did it happen after Galadriel came back at the end of the Third Age?
If pre-Darkening, maybe the two of them meeting, and things proceeding from there. Explorations of power dynamics, maybe, because Varda is obviously so much more powerful than Galadriel, and/or mentorship? And post-Darkening, there must have been feelings of betrayal on both sides, so something about that, maybe? And how do they react on meeting each other again, after Galadriel has atoned and gone through her test? Or maybe Galadriel finding comfort in Varda after the loss of everything she knows, and after the loss of her husband too (well, estrangement, but Celeborn doesn't look to be crossing the Sea any time soon).
Or, what does it feel like for an Elf to be in bed with a Valië? Does Varda use her powers on Galadriel? Or does Varda submit to Galadriel for this one thing?
I'd love art about stars and skies, please! Or maybe Varda and Galadriel on Taniquetil together, or Varda watching over Galadriel from far away?

Haleth/Original Female Character(s)

  • Haleth's lover being one of her warriors; all the loyalty kink.
  • Handkissing, kneeling, pledging loyalty.
  • Or Haleth's lover is a noncombatant. Angst, rescuing the lover from some awful fate, the lover taking care of Haleth after a battle etc.
  • Or the lover is an Elf! Mortality/immortality musings, power dynamics, lazy kisses, cultural differences.

Haleth/spider of Nan Dungortheb

  • Haleth secures passage through Nan Dungortheb for her people by fucking a spider.
  • Alternately, noncon.
  • Or creepy possesive dubcon where the spider wants to keep Haleth with it forever.
  • Extra things you could add, but are not at all requirements or things that'd be necessary for me to love your fic/art: oviposition, multiple spiders, her people watching (or maybe just her warriors, voyeurism is great either way), spider legs inside Haleth's holes, spiderwebs, spider fluid, the spider being surprisingly gentle (although this doesn't help at all) gags/Haleth screaming herself hoarse/trying to talk to the spiders but none of them understand what is being said.

Ilmarë/Thuringwethil
This ship interests me for the light vs. dark dichotomy. An origin story, perhaps, on the fall of Thuringwethil? Or maybe what happened to Thuringwethil after the War of Wrath? I'd love to see the contrast between the two of them, and maybe something to do with the Ainur and their role in the Music?
And this 'ship is ripe for all the angst and tragedy. Maybe something about Thuringwethil's fall? (And how it came about, if you're going in the fic direction.) Or maybe if you choose to go with something about Thuringwethil and Ilmarë after the War of Wrath, there must be a lot of betrayal and anger lying in both of them—something about that?
I would also very much not mind this going in the fucked-up dubcon or noncon direction, whether that be because one of them is the other's prisoner, or because one of them manipulates the other emotionally (for her own good, of course, or so the manipulator things), or because of any other scenario.

Indis & Fingolfin
What sort of relationship do Indis and Fingolfin have? Is it strained, or are they close? I'd love to see them at a difficult moment—when things are getting tense in Tirion, perhaps, or just after swords being drawn in the Court or after Fëanor's sentence has been pronounced, or even after the Darkening. (Please no completely uncaring, indifferent versions of either Indis or Fingolfin!)

Indis/Nerdanel

Indis and Nerdanel in the house of Indis after Fëanor's Exile, or later, after the Darkening and the Doom, helping each other to cope, please? I just want all the angst and Doom.

I'd love to see Indis and Nerdanel, something passionate and intense—kissing, maybe, or even just talking to each other. Or I'd love to see Indis as the Queen of the Ñoldor (whether as Finwë's wife or in her own right in an AU)—loyalty kink, anyone? Or maybe something less smutty, dealing with the politics of the situation, maybe.

I am fascinated by the Ñoldor who remained in Aman after Fëanor and Fingolfin left. How did they attempt to bridge ties with the other Elves (especially the Teleri)? What were Indis' and Nerdanel's reactions to the Kinslaying? What were other people's reactions to the fact that their relations (and especially children) are Kinslayers? Or, what sort of role did they play in the reorganization of Tirion and in all the work that must have been necessary post-Darkening?

Lalaith/Niënor Níniel

Sistercest! This would, out of necessity, have to be an AU where Lalaith doesn't die. Maybe Lalaith and Niënor sustaining each other through difficult times? Maybe instead of Túrin, Lalaith is the one who's cursed? Codependent fucked-up siblings, please! And for art (and fic), something focusing on how they're the antithesis of each other?

What would happen if Túrin died, not Lalaith? I'd imagine a lot of the events would go the same, but would Húrin not having a male heir affect canon events much? Would Lalaith stay with her mother and sister, or would she be smuggled out like Túrin was? And would Doriath and the outlaws happen just the same, and would Lalaith still be the Blacksword, or would something different happen? Would Lalaith's and Niënor's meeting go the same? And what effect would Niënor not being pregnant have on the final events? Would they go the same, or differently? (And would she even want to be called Lalaith after her brother's death?)

Or an AU where Lalaith doesn't die and Túrin also lives—again, would Lalaith go to Doriath or stay with Morwen? Would Niënor and her become codependent because of the situation they're in if she stayed, or would they fight all the time? If Lalaith goes to Doriath with her brother, would Niënor stumble upon Lalaith instead of Túrin?

Lindissë/Silmariën

I'd adore a bittersweet romance with Lindissë—Silmarien marries Elatan eventually, and I'd like that to be a mutually beneficial if not completely agreeable marriage, so Silmarien and Lindissë find their way through that? Awkward threesomes, if Elatan is fine with that? An open relationship based on the same premise? Or are Lindissë and Silmariën parted? (And maybe, for any of these—or any other idea you have—Silmarien starts a long campaign to allow people of the same gender to marry each other, which culminates in Tar-Telperien's marriage to her wife many generations later?)

We know nothing about Lindissë and Silmariën beyond their names and parentage and that Silmariën was Elendil's foremother, so I'd love to know more about the two of them. What made them fall for each other? What were their pet causes—or were they not interested in politics at all? What were their passions? What sort of relationships did they have with the rest of their family? Did Silmariën's children ever figure out that there had been something between Lindissë and Silmariën, once upon a time?

And Númenorean politics! I'm always interested in Númenorean politics, and I'd love to see what sort of influence the two of them (especially Silmariën) have, and the political climate in Númenor at that time. (Or maybe an AU where Silmariën is the first Ruling Queen?)

Lindórië & Inzilbêth

  • Passing down the traditions of the Faithful from parent to child
  • Playing together when Inzilbêth is younger
  • Going to her mother for advice
  • On being Faithful in a world of King's Men

Maedhros/Fingon/Fingon's Wife
I have my very specific headcanons for this—Fingon's wife was married, before, but her partner died, Fingon and Maedhros have a bond that no-one can touch, and Fingon's wife knows she'll never be able to love them enough to sacrifice what they do for each other, but she also loves them both in a less intense, less consuming manner, and they feel the same towards her—but that's basically the history of my version of them, and I'd love anything (and by anything, I really do mean anything) you create! Messy dynamics are awesome, as is jealousy, as is companionship, as is—well, pretty much everything, for this ship.

Tar-Anárion's daughters/Tar-Ancalimë

We know that Tar-Anárion's daughters both refused the queenship, most likely because they were pressured to, but there's not much to go on beyond that, so I would like it very much if political backstabbing was involved. Did they try to betray their father/aunt and were caught? Or was it the people around them who were doing the backstabbing, because of [insert reason you want here]? Just all the Númenorean politics, please! (Which we know are not very nice at all, even if they have a polite veneer.)

I'm very interested in Tar-Ancalimë's relationship with her granddaughters, since it's implied that she's the reason they gave up the throne. Did she regret not really caring about Tar-Anárion, and go too far in the other direction? Is she just extremely protective to the point of being unhealthily controlling for different reasons? Or maybe she sees them as her heirs, and is very possessive because of that? Or if you want to go really dark, Tar-Ancalimë marrying both of them off to husband she knows won't let them become queen, and manipulating both the husband and her granddaughters?

Or maybe the reason Tar-Anárion's daughters gave up the throne is because, while they're heirs, their bodies belong to the throne, and thus to Tar-Ancalimë/the Council? Maybe the way they dress, how and what they eat, even how they perform their ablutions are all controlled by external forces? Maybe they're forced to undergo gruelling 'training' or be experimented upon? Or maybe they're forced to provide sex?

Tar-Míriel/Original Female Character(s)

I want Tar-Míriel to have a slice of happiness before—or after—everything goes wrong (or, alternately I'd love to see the horror of her situation magnified as well, because I'm evil like that and I love seeing my faves suffer!). Make the setting (and plot, if you're planning in the fic and plott-y direction) as dark as you like—the darker the better! And, of course, Tar-Míriel as the Witch King is welcome! (Dark fucked-up-ness for that would be wonderful!)

Maybe Tar-Míriel finding comfort in one of her handmaidens (or one of the palace staff)? Is the handmaiden of the Faithful (perhaps planted there by Elendil to help Tar-Míriel pass messages out of the palace?), is she a spy for Pharazôn who manipulates Míriel (and maybe perhaps eventually falls for her—not not, there's lots of room for fucked-up-ness either way), or is she indifferent to the current political situation? Or maybe the OFC is a noble, either one of the Faithful (either in Exile, or someone who's secretly Faithful), or loyal to Pharazôn?

I'd love to see either quiet moments Míriel shares with her lover (strolling in the garden? Míriel being undressed? Her lover kneeling for her?) or something more political, perhaps, dealing with the latter days of Númenor and the rise of Pharazôn to power, or something set during Míriel's youth.

Tar-Telperiën/Original Female Character(s)

  • Tar-Telperiën didn't marry a man—but did she marry a woman?
  • Who was her wife/partner?
  • Or did she have a royal harem of women?
  • Angsty love affair with a political rival?
