Greetings, fellow fannish-type person!

First of all, thank you for creating for me. I’ve asked for fic only because my prompts/ideas tend to be fic-oriented, but if you’re here for the treat side of things and want to create something else, go ahead! If you’re matched with me for the Chocolate Box, thank you for writing for me! I hope I’m not too picky and demanding. And if you’re here for treats, thank you, too! Either way, I hope you have fun.

First, a list of Do Not Writes.

• Kink
• Body horror/gore (violence at canon level, please. i.e., feel free to torture Maedhros as long as that’s not the only component of the fic)
• Bestiality, necrophilia (this doesn’t include Ungoliant, by the way)
• Parent/child or full sibling/full sibling incest, and, unless specified, incest closer than second cousins
• Underage character/legal character. Either both participants are underaged, or both are legal, in terms of the society they’re living in. And please no large age gaps—teenagers with early-to-mid 20’s, either category with middle-aged people are no-no’s. Please use your head! Even if both a twelve-year-old and a sixteen-year-old (or equivalents) are underage, I would not appreciate this! Maturity of both characters should be relatively equal.
• Crossovers from fandoms that aren’t related, and yes, this includes magical/daemon/insert trope here AUs (i.e. you can mix and match fandoms only in the Tolkien fandoms)

My soft limits are as follows.

• Explicit sex—I’d prefer not to see this, but if you must, no insert-tab-A-into-slot-B or graphic anatomical descriptions, please. Sensuality would be better.
• Fics which are all fluff are very difficult for me to stomach—a limit to the cuteness would be good.
• AUs with modern settings (high school, coffee shop etc.) are no-no’s unless there’s a reasonable canon explanation (eg-: a Tolkien couple cursed to be reborn again and again into mortal forms, Gabe’s smell masking Percy’s scent until he’s 16) and that only in Tolkien and mythology-related (including PJO) fandoms
• I’d say no A/B/O or soulmate AUs, but these have been done brilliantly, so I’m going to say that if you’re messing with tropes and have the characters going against their social norms, these AUs are OK in non-Tolkien fandoms
• I’m fine with non-explicit rape/non-con/dub-con and abuse, but please do deal with them in a sensitive manner (i.e. that Maedhros-in-Angband Sauron/Maedhros rape fic, inclusive of loving detail? I will not like that. Discussion of Sauron/Maedhros rape post-Angband and non-explicit flashbacks? That I'm okay with)
• Also, although I don’t mind infidelity, please don’t let anyone walk in on someone with their other half(s)

What I do like:

• Angst. Drama. Politics.
• I like relationships that are fated to end in tragedy, but I also like a pinch of humor with my angst.
• Plotty fics are always welcome!
• I like all kinds of fic, so go wild—linear narrative, flashbacks, epistolary…whatever you think of is lovely, the more daring the better.
• I don’t mind any type of POV. In fact, POV switches and outside POVs on relationships would be lovely.
• F/F and female-centric gen always have my love. You can never go wrong with these.
• I love canon divergence AUs, and other ‘what-if’ scenarios.
• I also have zero problems with fics dealing with misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, racism etc. I like realism, but not overly-depressing fics or fics centered on issues at the expense of characterization.
• Genderbending! I always love Rule 63'd characters.
• Stories featuring bi, pan, aro, and/or ace characters are lovely!
• Transgender characters would be amazing, as would non-binary characters and just genderfuckery in general.

Star Wars

First, a note: I haven’t watched the prequel, and only know the bare bones of the story. You’re of course welcome to make references, but please don’t be offended if I don’t understand them. Guess who watched the PT in a fit of Star Wars nostalgia (and is regretting it very much)? This edit is probably a bit to late, but all the references you want to add can be added! (Also, I ship Padme/Sabe.)

Friendship only, sorry. I’d love to see them post-Return of the Jedi. Family interactions for Luke and Leia, or OT3 friendship—I’d love either or both. I don’t mind them bringing up Anakin Skywalker—I do know the summary of the story—but, again, subtle details will probably be missed. I’d like to see the gap years between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens—politics, drama or just feels and adventure!
 

TFA
Headcanon-ing nonbinary Jessika, if you so feel inclined :).

Phasma/Rey and Jessika/Phasma
Go AU all you want! What if Phasma had been the one guarding Rey when she escaped? What if Jessika was captured? The possibilities are endless. I don’t mind redemption, but not too easy—and for these pairings, I don’t mind darkfic, but not very very dark. Tragic backstory is always a bonus!

Rey/Jessika
Partners in crime—flying together, Jessika being Rey’s right hand. Or maybe love in unexpected places? Whichever you choose, I’d love a gentle fic about companionship.

BB-8
You have BB-8 in your fic? I promise you won’t go wrong. BB-8 and R2-D2 and/or Rey—fluff/humor or darker, is always welcome!

Rey & Luke
Is Luke Rey’s father? If so, how and why? I’d like an explanation that doesn’t involve romantic love. And if not, I also love the theory that Rey is Obi-Wan Kenobi’s granddaughter—what would Luke’s reactions to/feelings about that be? Feel free to explore post-TFA, though pre-TFA would also be appreciated!

Rey & Han Solo, Leia & Rey
I’d love it if you could find a way to work Leia’s and Han’s grief over the their son into this. Angst-y is better, and please no Han Solo lives (I love him, but no).

Poe & Finn & Rey
Being partners in crime together! Snark, banter, some angst. If you must(and if so, please keep it in the background!) ship, I headcanon Finn as bi, having a spark for Rey which fades as his feelings for Poe grow (see what I did there?). Post-TFA fics or canon divergence welcome!

Yes, of course! For this, I’d like a politic-y, plotty fic, please, with some fluff/fluff, world-building, drama, and also light angst, either during the three year gap or post-Spirit World holiday? Korra and Asami finding their places—together and alone—in a post-apocalyptic world.

Lin & Toph & Su and Lin & Toph
Family issues! Drama and politics, and also angst. Please keep the fluff to a minimum. Also, generation parallels get extra love for being awesome. I don’t mind a dark theme or flashbacks either.
 

A:TLA
For this, please no sexual stuff at all.

Azula/Ty Lee
I don’t mind this a little dark—not too dark, though. Keep Azula redeemable! Conversely, don’t make her downright nice—manipulative and sadistic (not in the sexual sense) but fiercely loyal and protective suits me just fine.

Aang/Katara
I’d like this to be Katara-centric—Katara-centric gen would also be welcome. Nothing too dark, please, but cultural differences and politics would be lovely. As would Aang messing up and being adorable about it.

Zuko & the Dragons
Ran and Sho with and/or discussing Zuko in the series timeline, maybe? Or Zuko discovering Druk? I just want Zuko’s growth, and the loss of innocence/coming into one’s own theme highlighted. Zuko navigating Fire Nation politics is also lovely, but don’t let him run away from his responsibilities to go on non-family-related field-trips—in other words, don’t make Zuko Aang, though Zuko and Aang friendship, is, of course, lovely. (Also, keep any ships in the background, please)

 

 

Anne of Green Gables
For this, I don’t mind any side ships. And I mean any. I love gentle, bittersweet fic for this fandom.

Rilla/Una
Una grieved for her closest friend, of course. But where did everyone get the ridiculous notion that she loved Walter? If only she did. Unrequited Rilla/Una, Walter and Una friendship.

Diana/Anne
No AUs, please. For this, a story about might-have-beens. Rilla/Una incorporation and parallels would get added love!

Nan & Di
I’d like a fic exploring the differences between the twins, and how these impact their relationship, positively and negatively (I headcanon Di as lesbian, and although it’s not necessary, I’d love it if you could work that in).

Mrs. Lynde/Marilla
Again, migh-have-beens and quiet companionship.

Walter/Una
I’d like a romantic relationship where neither of them want anything sexual (both of them being ace) and a sweet (or bittersweet) fic, maybe with some nostalgia.

 

 

Heroes of Olympus
I give blanket permission for AUs for this fandom—BoO was awful, so post-HoH AUs and fics which ignore BoO or are vague about it are more than welcome. Also, I’m going to blacklist any Will/Nico or Octavian/anyone. Sorry, but no.

Annabeth/Percy/Nico
The OT3 of my heart! I ship Percy/Nico and Annabeth/Percy both, and this is the obvious solution. I like a Percy-centric relationship, but I’d also prefer them to all be equals in the relationship, although an initially-messed-up dynamic would be fine. Post-Tartarus fic is lovely, and although heavy angst is fine, I’d like an eventual happy ending. Also, the price Percy has to pay for the Mark of Achilles, the events in Akhyls’ poison glade, Percy’s self-destructive streak, and the consequences of him being unable to protect his friends are never discussed, and I’d love an expansion on these; perhaps a fic about the different ways PTSD manifests in the three of them and how they deal with it?

Thalia/Reyna
A ship I’ve never thought about, but the possibilities are intriguing, so surprise me!

Annabeth & Rachel
Friendship—snarky, hilarious friendship. Kicking ass together. Shopping, getting makeovers—give me glam and action coupled together.

Grandma Zhang/Athena
Young Grandma Zhang! No-strings-attached, please, don’t let them fall in love. Philosophical discussions would me more than welcome!

 

 

Hunger Games

For this, don’t be afraid to pull out all the stops. Forced prostitution, bleak angst, characters who do terrible things infidelity, non-con/rape/dub-con, substance abuse, violence and abuse, (mild) gore, torture, President Snow; whatever you throw at me is fine. I’m also lifting the incest DNW—if you can make it work, then go with it.

Annie/Finnick
I always love different versions of growing together. Romance, simple and pure—or maybe not-so-simple? Snow, politics, angst, tragedy—all of this is more than fine.

Cinna/Finnick
Casual relationship with Cinna slowly falling for Finnick, maybe? Please keep Finnick/Annie as a thing—maybe Finnick loves them both, in different ways? And, of course, Cinna & Finnick is always good!

Katniss/Madge
Canon timeframe setting and no AUs, please. Unrequited feelings on Madge’s part would be lovely, and if you could include the mockingjay pin and Maysilee Donner that’d be an added bonus.

Johanna & Finnick
Snarky friendship. Sarcasm and glamour. I am a fan of Johanna hating Finnick for ‘being a whore’ until the realizes the truth. Also, no Johanna prostitution, please—maybe the reason her family’s all gone is because she refused?

Katniss & Prim
Sisterly affection! Not too fluffy—I’d love something pre-canon, something with Katniss protecting Prim.

Katniss & Johanna
I’d love this friendship, post-canon, and side Annie/Johanna would be lovely. Again, snark and banter, and healing through anger.

 

Tolkien
This would be where I give permission for incest that's not parent/child or full sibling/full sibling. Let the Finwëan family shenanigans begin!
Also, bring on your rape/non-con/dubcon! As long as it's not the sole purpose of the fic, for the Tolkien fandoms I am more than fine with it!
 

Hobbit
Galadriel/Tauriel
For this, I'd love power dynamics (not of the explicit kind) and teaching/learning. I'd like a fic about power and beauty, and about limits which shouldn't be crossed.

Tauriel/Lírien
Maybe Tauriel visits Rivendell, post-Hobbit? Or maybe post-War of the Ring? And meets, of course, the lovely musician Lírien. Sweet, gentle romance would be lovely.

Tauriel/OFC
I'm looking for a slightly darker story here. Both pre- and post-Hobbit is fine, as is Rule 63'd Kili or trans woman Kili. A story about the darkness Dol Guldur brings, and dark deeds done in dark times, and love found in spite of it all.
 

LotR
Goldberry/Lady of the Blue Brooch
There are so many lovely fics for this pairing, but I still want more! For those of you who don't know, the Lady of the Blue Brooch was a woman, and her brooch found its way into the tomb of the last prince of Cardolan. And, of course, Goldberry (and Tom) knew her.

Arwen & Gilraen
What does Arwen's mother-in-law think about her? Surely they must have spent time together in Rivendell, possibly in the years before Arwen was betrothed, but after Aragorn had gone away. How did they get on? Very well, or not at all? Did Aragorn's youthful crush result in mutual embarrassment? Or did they laugh over it? And I'd love advice, given and received, and also Elven vs. Human perceptions of passing time.

Arwen/Gilraen
Oooh, I love this for its awkward connotations. A gentle fic, if portraying their relationship, but I'd also love a look at the awkwardness that would result—"Aragorn, I've already met your Mother. In fact, I've gone down on her too many times to count". A relationship not based on love, but mutual loss and comfort, staving away loneliness, would be an added bonus. And, as above, bonding! I'd love bonding, and discussions/portrayals of mortality and immortality. Also, as I've said in the friendship section, Arwen/Gilraen in the window of time between Aragorn going away and their betrothal would be lovely.

Arwen/Goldberry
Arwen stumbles upon a strange woman early in the Third Age, in the peacetime, maybe? Or after Aragorn's death, finding some hope and comfort in life while she waits to pass? Either way, I'd love a gentle fic about mortality and loss, and about love in all its myriad forms. A bittersweet tone would be lovely.

Arwen & Elanor Gardner
Something about Elanor being very excited to see the Elven Queen she's heard so much of? Eventual Arwen & Elanor friendship would, of course, be much appreciated.

Berúthiel/OFC
For this, love, loyalty, and tragedy. Also cats. I want cats.

Éowyn/Lothíriel, Arwen/Éowyn, and Arwen/Éowyn/Lothíriel
Politics! Politics galore, please, and also queens finding themselves away from home and taking comfort from their peers. I don't mind infidelity, but open relationships would be so much better! For Éowyn/Lothíriel especially, but all of these relationships, I'd also like a bit more about the Rohirrim. I love horses, so if you could include equestrian detail in the fic that'd also be lovely.

Éowyn & Lothíriel
As above, mostly, minus the shippy elements—friendship and mutual helping hands extended.

Ioreth/OFC
I'd love something connected to Imloth Melui and its roses—why do they have such significance to Ioreth? Was it because of a lover she had when she was 'a lass'? A bittersweet or unhappy ending is fine, but the relationship itself I'd like to be happy, a relationship out of the old tales—one which even a king would be content with.
 

Silmarillion
Aerin/Morwen
For me, this ship is about finding strength in each other and leaning on each other to get through dark times. As such, a gentle fic about companionship with hints at dark things would be what I'm looking for, but I don't mind messy, entangled feelings and rage and betrayal either.

Ailiniel & Almiel
We hear so much about Aldarion and so little about his sisters—I'd like a story about the two of them, about life and love, but also ultimately sisterly bonds. Any sister/OC, is, of couse welcome, although I wouldn't be adverse to bringing in other obscure Second Age characers. A politic-y fic about fighting misogyny in court would be lovely. And, of course, the love/hate relationship common to all siblings!

Almarian & Erendis
Friendship, politics, and women in Númenor. And Erendis and Almarian plotting—the oiolairë bough scene would be of special interest to me, if you could include it, and if you could combine this with Núneth/Almarian, I would love that!

Galadriel/Andreth
Alternate Universe where Galadriel takes Aegnor's place, maybe? Or Galadriel visiting Andreth, with or without Finrod. I just want philosophical and political discussions, duty vs. love dilemmas, and an unhappy ending (because I'm evil like that).

Haleth/Lúthien
Beren not being the first mortal Lúthien loved—I'd love questions about duty and love, mortality and fate—all the hard questions with no easy answers, which is what I picture this relationship to be like. Also a bittersweet or sad goodbye, which made Lúthien resolve to take the chance if she ever fell in love with a mortal again.

Inzilbêth/OFC
An intriguing ship—I'd like an exploration of the King's Men/Faithful schism, with a dash of politics. Side Ar-Gimilzôr/Inzilbêth, with all the messiness that arises, is fine, but I'd like the focus to be on Inzilbêth/OFC, please.

Elemmírë/Írimë
Again, I'd love questions about duty and love, family and honour, and about betrayal and truth. A not-so-fluffy Valinor fic would be lovely if you're so inclined, or maybe Elemmire saying goodbye to her lover or Írimë reminiscing in Beleriand? Again, I don't like happy endings for this pairing, and problems with no easy answers would be welcome.

Írimë/Haleth
An interesting pairing, one I haven't quite formulated thoughts on. Maybe a look at leadership and loyalty?

Tar-Míriel/OFC
I want Tar-Míriel to have a slice of happiness before—or after—everything goes wrong. Make the setting and plot as dark as you like—the darker the better—but the relationship itself I'd prefer if it were more gentle, and loving. And, of course, Tar-Míriel as the Witch King is welcome!

Tar-Ancalimë/Nessanië
I get quite a lot of kicks out of imagining Tar-Ancalimë in love with Hallacar's sister! A gentle fic is lovely, but I'd also love politics and drama—I'm interesting in what made Ancalimë the domineering, hard-hearted woman she was made out to be. Pulling a Those Pesky Historians is, of course, fine, but I'd also enjoy Ancalimë being forced to be controlling as she's a woman in a man's world, and a case of 'damned if you, damned if you don't.

Fingon/Maedhros
My first OTP, and the love of my life! I'm fine with anything Fingon/Maedhros, really—go as dark or as fluffy as you like, but a bittersweet tone would be lovely, especially post-Darkening. Give me betrayal, tragedy, doom, death, but also love amidst the darkness, love transcending all other bonds (including the Oath—I know everyone has their theories on this), an imperfect, ultimately fruitless love, but beautiful and passionate. Love, loyalty, Oaths, questioning oneself, problems without answers—throw them all at me! Angband and the trauma and repercussions which followed—for both of them, I headcanon that the inability to protect Maedhros scarred Fingon quite deeply—would also get extra love!

Fingon/Maedhros/Fingon's Wife
AO3 wouldn't let me ask for this, despite the fact that it's part of the tagset and I hadn't gone over my 20 requests at that point, but I'm including it anyway—this OT3 is the loveliest thing ever! I have my very specific headcanons for this—Fingon's wife was married, before, but her partner died, Fingon and Maedhros have a bond that no-one can touch, and Fingon's wife knows she'll never be able to love them enough to sacrifice what they do for each other, but she also loves them both in a less intense, less consuming manner, and they feel the same towards her—but anything would be lovely. Messy dynamics are awesome, as is jealousy, as is companionship, as is—well, pretty much everything, for this ship.

Nellas/Nienor, Finduilas/Nienor, and Finduilas/Nellas/Niënor
If you can make this work canon-'verse, that would, of course, be lovely, but I am here for all the canon divergence AUs! I want these ladies to get a happy ending—taking back their lives, taking control. I don't mind initial angst, of course, or bittersweet endings—I just don't want complete tragedy.

Aredhel/Elenwë
Again, AO3 wouldn't let me tag this, but if you're so inclined, I'd love Aredhel/Elenwë. For them, I see a relationship based, not on love, but need. Rough, grief-induced interactions, messy dynamics, infidelity, all of these would be lovely.

Tar-Telperien/OFC
Because The Line of Elros saying that Tar-Telperien 'would we with no man' got me thinking of the woman she married. I want politics, for this fic, all the messy political entanglements, and how Tar-Telperien came to be seen in history so negatively (no queen-blaming, please, I'd prefer a Those Pesky Historians version!).

Núneth/Almarian
I'd love it if Almarian had a vested interest in getting Aldarion to marry Erendis! Maybe she and Núneth were childhood sweethearts, and Almarian regrets that she didn't take a chance with her lover, even though she loves her husband and children? I want a fic with nostalgia, please, and might-have-beens. Later Núneth and Almarian friendship, of course, is lovely, as are Aldarion/Erendis and Núneth/Almarian parallels.

Lindórië/OFC
Lindórië was Inzilbêth(Tar-Palantir's mother)'s mother, was of the House of Lords of Andúnië, and one of the Faithful. Other than that, we know nothing about her. Maybe a Lindórië/OFC fic about the political situation in Númenor? Tension, betrayal, secrets and lies—all of that is fine with me, as is endgame Lindórië/Tar-Calmacil's descendant, as long as it's made clear that Lindórië does love the OFC (who can be of the Faithful, or, more interestingly, loyal to the King).

Tar-Vanimeldë/OFC
Maybe Tar-Vanimeldë falls in love with a dancer? I have a headcanon that she was deeply unhappy about Herucalmo wielding power but since he had many supporters and she didn't want to risk a civil war, she let him be. I'd like a little love to lighten up her life, please!

Erendis/OFC
Surely Erendis wasn't all alone after Aldarion left her? A casual relationship, no-strings-attached, is, of course, fine, but I'd also like a look at Númenorean politics and the role of women in Númenorean society.

Lúthien & Melian
I want to know more about how Lúthien and Melian interact with each other—messy family dynamics, pain, betrayal, anger, teenage angst, all that schist, but also a mother and daughter loving each other deeply but also leading lives independent of each other.
 

Works and Related Fandoms
Éowyn/Tar-Míriel and Éowyn & Tar-Míriel
Honestly, I'm not too picky about whether this is shippy or not. I am just very, very on board with the Tar-Míriel is the Witch King theory and I'd like darkfic about that. Canon divergence, of course, is fine, but so is canon 'verse gapfilling. I just want anger and tragedy and angst and all the yummy darkness. Make it as messed-up as you like—rape/non-con/dubcon are all fine for this fic. I just want a really, really fucked up dynamic, whether shippy or otherwise!

Mithrellas/Nimrodel
Ah, the good old mediaeval lady/handmaiden trope. I'd like to see Mithrellas' grief and longing for her lady, maybe, but also anger at Nimrodel for tossing her aside so easily when Amroth arrived. And maybe marrying Imrazôr is her way of saying 'fuck you' for that? And maybe she realizes that isn't enough? Or is there a gradual descent into madness/ Hurt feelings and anger, power dynamic—all things I want. Whether they find each other again is up to you, but I don't want a fluffy ending—bittersweet or angsty would be better.

Mithrellas & Gilmith
I recently dug into the dusty corners of UT which concern Mithrellas, and a fascination for this was the result. Why did Mithrellas leave her children? You are, of course, welcome to write Mithrellas/Nimrodel, but I'd also like an exploration of Mithrellas' relationship with her children independent of her romantic life. What was she like as a mother? Did she love her children or hate them, or was it more complicated?

Haleth/Goldberry
An intriguing pairing, one I never really thought about until I saw the tagset. So surprise me! Go wild!

Goldberry/Nellas
I've always wanted Nellas to get her happy ending, and, of course, I jumped at this 'ship. Nellas surviving, taking her life back, finding happiness again, being able to give her heart to Goldberry where she'd once thought she'd never love again, and, of course, the Nellas/Goldberry/Tom OT3 shenanigans. I'd like a mainly happy fic for this, but am also more than fine with an undercurrent of bitterness and loss.

Arwen/Lírien
Arwen and Lírien in Rivendell, a gentle fic. Music being worked in is lovely, and I'd love discussions of music theory, especially. Just plain bittersweet goodness, really.

Arwen/Tauriel
As with Tauriel/Lírien, Tauriel visiting Rivendell. Or maybe Arwen as her father's ambassador in the Greenwood, and there meeting a certain red-haired Elf? A parners-in-crime type of fic for this, please, lighthearted and fun. A casual relationship would be lovely!
